The town of Greenest was founded by the halfling Dharva Scatterheart, a rogue who fancied herself the queen of the Greenfields. Scatterheart passed away without ever achieving that level of eminence, but her town grew into a thriving community. Its success isn’t surprising, since Greenest is the only town of any size astride the Uldoon Trail, the most direct road between the eastern cities of the Dragon Coast, Cormyr, and Sembia with the Coast Way running south to the great cities of Amn, Tethyr, and far Calimshan. The trade caravans that pass through Greenest bring gold to the town’s merchants and craftsfolk, and Governor Nighthill runs the town at the behest of the inhabitants. (Copied from the book.)
Most of you all found way of travel by guarding a caravan heading there. You all have spent a few days on the road with each other, some longer than others. A few joined on the way to Greenest. At most, you know each other's name if they decided to share it with you at all.
(Go ahead and take the time to describe your character.)
Dallen has not given anyone his name. He is 5’10, with shoulder length brown hair, fair skin, and green eyes. He’s currently wearing a simple brown jacket, blue shirt, and black trousers. He’s looking around to see how these people are looking at him and whether these people are useful, stupid, or aggressive.
Z'ress has kept to herself for the most part, having only spoken long enoughnto introeuce herself or when she was asked a question or needed to answer. While she has not hidden it entirely she is still wary about letting people question the fact that she has a drow as her elven parent, despite how clear it is given her dark skin tone and violet colored eyes. Over all she wears rather simple attire befitting of a monk with a light brown shirt and pants, her feet covered by simple traveling boot. It is clear thatmfrom her physical stature that she resembles her elven side more then her human, having a lithe build but with a defined athletic build from years of training.
Graxian stands a bit under 6 feet with black hair, a short beard and mustache and green eyes. He wears a traveler's cloak with the jingle of armor underneath. With an easy going manner and a friendly smile Graxian speaks to any and all. Wisdom and compassion mark his face as he sees to the needs of others. He is often seen looking away in the distance as if he is contemplating another place to go.
Toremar DeFloresant has no hesitation in sharing his name to all. "I am Toremar DeFloresant, Holy Paladin of Lathander. How is your morrow? How is YOUR morrow?" He greets the members of the caravan with jubilant hope and a booming voice, made all the more boisterous due to his stature of six foot four. His black hair is cropped short in a Caesar cut, with a short, well-trimmed and oiled beard. He polishes his armor to a dazzling shimmer each evening, with his breastplate proudly emblazoned with the Two-Sun emblem of Elturgard. His intricate halberd--dubbed Morning-Glory--is always either attached at his back along a clasp, or in his hands as he parades along the trail. He has the beginning of crow's feet at his chestnut eyes; a result of his constant love of being in the sun's warmth.
Toremar is happy to converse with others, reflecting his affable nature. He is interested in speaking with the monks about their lives: if they're pious, if they're part of monastic orders, their opinions on doctrine, et cetera.
Graxian is eager to meet Toremar when he hears him coming, introducing himself as he goes along. He quickly goes to meet him.
"A paladin, in the service of Lathander you say? I am well pleased to meet you. I am Graxian, a humble servant and Dawnbringer of Lathander, a cleric and priest in service to the same. I am glad to see that we travel together for a time. "
Z'ress look to the paladin as he over eagerly introduces himself in her opinion. At the time she had been meditating to clear her mind, keeping with the doctrine of mastering both her mind and body. The half drow skowly rises to her feet, dusting her pants off carefully as she does so. "My order does not demand the worship of any god but does not stop brothers or sisters from doing so if they wish. Our main doctrine is to know ones self by mastering both mind and body to reach an inner balance. I can not admit to having done so as this is something that many have strived to reach over many decades, only to never fully reach this sought after balance." She explained calmly, talking more so then she had for almost the entire trip.

J'eilil has not spoken to anyone beyond introducing herself. She is somewhat short, wearing leather armor and carrying a pack. Her skin is tan and her eyes are black as coal, with burning embers where her hair should be. She does not say anything at first, but drifts over to the group that is talking. When Z'ress, had finished speaking, she smiles. She is very interested to learn about everyone else.

Z'ress notices the silent genasi, nodding to her in acknowledgment once she finishes speaking to Toremar. She will move to sit once more in her meditation stance but does not fully relax as if she would begin to meditate once more. She waits to hear more from the other people that had been with the caravan, her mind returning to the missive she had recived from her fellow monk and savior. What ever it was that had him call her to the town of Greenest truly seemed urgent.

"No I have not. I have only lived to places that I am able to remember at least. The town where I lived with my mother and the monastery which has been my home for the last decade of my life. I am going because I received a missive from one of the fellow members of my order." Z'ress explained to uer calmly, not giving much more then that.

Dallen's examined these people and sees that they aren't likely to do him harm. So he'll walk up to them and begin trying to get to know them. "Good afternoon. My name is Dallen, and I've been in Greenest for the last few weeks now."

J'eilil - Fire Genasi Druid (Hoard of the Dragon Queen)
For the past several days, you have been traveling a road that winds lazily across the rolling grasslands of the Greenfields. Sundown is approaching when you top a rise and see the town of Greenest just a few short miles away. But instead of the pleasant, welcoming town you expected, you see columns of black smoke rising from burning buildings, running figures that are little more than dots at this distance, and a dark, winged shape wheeling low over the keep that rises above the center of the town. Greenest is being attacked by a dragon!
Seeing this, Z'ress will jump to feet feet quickly and ready herself for a fight. She knew that she would have little chance against a dragon but if her safior and fellow monk was there she planned to at least help if it was possible. "This is the time for those of you who do not wish be invovled to leave as I doubt the caravan will be stopping in the town this day."
Graxian looked to the town, concern written on his face. "My help will be needed, there will be many injured. But what of the dragon? Do we wait, hope it leaves soon?"
"I do not wish to die this day but many will if we cannot help in some way. I know little of fighting dragons but if there was a way to lure the dragon away... I don't know... my heart breaks for the people. "
"Better that these citizens make it out safe, no matter the risk!"Toremar proudly proclaims, before running towards the city, all the while eyeing the dragon. Perhaps it's focused on something? If it's not interested in him, his goal would be to seek out anyone trapped or unable to flee to assist them. Saving the town itself is not worth lives lost.
