Wendell is entirely certain that the primal magic the fruit contains is in a similar brand of magic to that which sorcerers wield, particularly those who possess Wild Magic, since it seems to hold some innate magical qualities within it that seem to be quite untamed and free, potentially meaning it may have some chaotic effects, though it also seems fleeting. He expects the magic within the fruit will fade away after a week, now that it's been removed from the stem that fed it such magic. Aralia then keeps on eye on those who do aim to eat it, to see if it holds any negative effects. When Abishai gets his dagger through the thick skin, he then realises he can only dig through the soft, baby blue flesh inside the fruit so far until he reaches a stone, similar to that found in pitted fruits like mangos, avocados and plums. When the residue of the fruit is wiped clean away from the portion of wood revealed, you can see that it is not the same pale white as the stem of the fruit, but a bronze wood, with an excellent grain and lustre to it. Wendell imagines that the stone probably has some magical properties to it too, and although none of you are woodworkers or carpenters to any degree, it'd be reasonable to assume that a fine shield could be made out of either half of the fruit's stone, given enough time and effort.
Abishai, after casting a spell to defend against any potential ill effects, take his portion from the fruit (A full portion of the fruit must be eaten for any magic to rub off, and 12 of these portions can be taken from a single fruit.) and takes a bite. It is a glorious sensation, a taste unlike any other, incredibly sweet and syrupy, yet not enough to become claggy in his throat at all, rather every bite feels like a refreshing sip of the purest fruit juice. However, cutting through the sweetness is a grand bitterness to it, yet this is not distasteful at all and instead adds to the incredible flavour profile of the fruit. Most off all, there seems to be a slight tickling, fizzing sensation brewing in his mouth that is so curious he almost feels like laughing at it, and as he swallows the feeling only grows. There seems to be no direct negative effects at current at all though.
Anybody who eats the fruit, please roll a d8 and report what the result is if you do it on your sheet, or roll it here for me to see if you do it on the forums!
Though wary at first, the fruit's taste quickly changes her mind.
"This is amazing. No wonder those two were fighting over it," she remarks, eyeing the stone with interest as she eats her piece, "And I wouldn't mind half of that wood. Could always use a better shield."
"Mmm... it's delicious! Indescribable... so good. Here, try it!" Abishai says between bites. Almost laughing with joy, he begins to pass out the portions to anyone willing to eat.
Both Abishai and Aralia feel the fizzing flavour in their mouths develop and change until it feels like there's a quiet whispering at the base of their skull, not ominous whispers, but rather hushed tones of indescribable excitement, like that of a child. You can't tell what the voices are saying, of course, but feel that you too can join in with this curious whispering game now, and it's as if a set of earmuffs have been removed from your ears and you are now able to play. When you try and whisper in this same, psychic tone, you realise that no sound comes out, yet the person you aim to speak to can still hear what you want to say in their mind, and is invited to respond back. You can now both telepathically communicate with any creature you can see within 120 feet of you, and if they can understand at least one language, they can also telepathically respond.
Aralia tilts her head curiously at the strange feeling. It's somewhat similar to the whispers she hears from her ring at times, only not foreboding at all. She tries reaching out to Abishai, lowering the protection from her ring so his response can reach her.
Abishai looks at Ssha and telepathically says, "You sure you don't want some?" before offering a portion to him. Amazed and excited at his new ability.

Uh...Can you hear me? I hope I'm not crazy.
"We both might still be crazy, but yeah, I can hear you! I never thought eating some delicious fruit could have such a weird and wonderful side effect." Abishai responds back telepathically.
Wendell wants to see a full range of what it can do as if his knowledge of sorcerers is anything to go off there should be a range of magical effects for the fruit. Maybe as much as 8.....
He takes his own portion (rolled a 4).
Would he be able to tell if the effects are permanent or temporary?
“I wonder if the balowang alssssso hassss sssssuch abilitiessss….” ssha says aloud.
”assss for thisssss telepathic ability, it sssssseems you are all able to ssssspeak to me, sssso perhapssss it isssss not needed? For me to partake?” He walks up to it, amxonsiders fir a moment of this is a gift or a curse… voices in one’s head…
Seeing what the fruits can do Abathax would be happy to take a portion, and seeing how much there is he takes two.
"Delicious!" he says waiting for what will happen to him.

“Aren’t we a fruity bunch..” ssha looks about with a playful sigh… this is the group imma have to be stuck with for the next few weeks huh… the ‘see fruit and just put it in their mouth’ group. He can’t help but smile a little bit, but tries to not let it show through his stoic visage.
[@JSenecal, if you're okay with it, I've rolled Silvosh's d8 for the fruit's affect for you (though accidentally on Aralia's sheet!) and got a 4]
Wendell is fairly certain that just like the fruit itself, the magic it bears is likely only temporary and will fade in due course, though as he and Silvosh bite down, they both get similar affects to each other, but ones that differ in comparison to Aralia and Abathax's. The tickling feeling in your mouth turns into a faint prickling sensation that spreads out across your skin, and although there is no apparent change in your anatomy at all, the pair of you swear you can feel tiny, fine, magical bristles all over you, and that they seem to act as either a neutraliser, absorber, or at least a buffer against acidic attacks. The pair of you both get resistance to acid damage.
Abathax then decides to get experimental, taking two portions and leaving the fruit half-eaten. At first, all he feels when he eats his first portion is that he is suddenly aware of a slow, deep, humming noise in the world around him, but he soon comes to realise that his hearing has adapted to pick up on the magical frequencies of the Weave itself, and he can now hear the melodic yet droning tune that all bards use as the great metronome for their magic. This tune allows him to keep in time with the Weave, and by following this rhythm, he feels like he can avoid the affects of magic far easier and simply find a way to move with them and through them. However, he then takes his second portion, and things become much more curious. He instantly feels refreshed, becoming very full, awake and hydrated, but all the lost sleep he has seemingly recovered from the magic has came back to bite him, as his vision now swirls with faint illusions of the dreams he would have had, obscuring his sight, and making it far harder to determine what's real and what's false. Abathax now has advantage on saving throws against spells. He also doesn’t require food, drink, or sleep for a day. For the duration of that day, he can’t be put to sleep by magic, and his dreams intrude upon its waking thoughts, imposing disadvantage on its Wisdom (Perception) checks.
Presuming everyone has had their fill, Abishai cuts the remaining six portions up and stores one of them in his backpack. He hands out the remaining portions to anyone who wants one and stores any extra in his backpack as well. "Aralia, you mentioned you wanted the pit." Abishai says as he finishes cleaning the large fruit core off and gives it to her.
"We should get going if we want to reach town before nightfall." Abishai says as he cleans his dagger and sheaths it on his belt.
"Okay." Abishai cuts into the fruit and eats some. He then cuts a piece for each person who wants some.
