So far so good. Players can miss the most obvious plot. You never know. ;)
Some plots might not appeal. But it is fun be in a dynamic and living world. And sometimes you simply let go of some plots to focus on different things. A " unused" plot can fit in another and later occasion.
But I usually enjoy the effects of ignoring plots. Like do some shit happens? Some other adventurers solve it and become the stars?

But can we keep ruletalk in this tread?
Ignoring subplots do have ever-increasing consequences. Some can be disastrous, but nothing that will kill the campaign. A TPK can't actually kill the campaign. Depending on how you die, you could come back as undead, wake up in the afterlife and have to fight your way through that, or just roll up new characters at an appropriate level and keep the good times rolling.
I’m going to assume the DM has no concerns with Theron’s actions and I’ll go ahead and post.
I'm concerned about how much concern we have about Theron's actions. 😅 I haven't checked the IC yet... so let's see what has befallen of Dana's dungeon-altar to Sargonnas.
MrUncleTio here is what Sera's help granted Hastos.
Aided with the Help action, Hastos has Advantage to attack the cage door. AC 19, HP 5
Suggested Feats that can be borrowed (for one time use as per House Rule) with a successful skill check: Savage Attacker (Athletics Check DC 5), Tavern Brawler (Athletics Check DC 7) Or you may make an Athletics Check (with Advantage) using both legs at the same time to push the gate all the way off the hinges. Add your STR bonus again to the roll (so that's a +6). DC 19 to hoist the gate this way.
I checked the Game Log and it doesn't appear that you rolled with Advantage. I'm going to roll for you to keep the game moving, continuing with your strategy of hitting it with a rock.
Cheez_Weezle I don't see anything wrong with your interpretation of the rules. But dayum! That barbarian of yours is definitely built to last. 😄 I'm glad they fixed the Barbarian. Last time I played them in 5E they were nothing more than bags of HP that was really good at Athletics checks.
Get a good nights sleep! A quick question when you’re up for it: I think you mentioned I could see my equipment from my cell, but where on the map is it?
Get a good nights sleep! A quick question when you’re up for it: I think you mentioned I could see my equipment from my cell, but where on the map is it?
That's a good question, and I probably should've thought to add that. 😅
For simplicity's sake, lets just say it's right outside the cell, which would've been a horrible idea, if I were Dana and I didn't want a trained soldier to have access to weapons and armor.
So for suspension of disbelief, in the panic while Dana was trying to dim the candlelight, and also the ensuring scuffle, your gear has been kicked around enough that it has landed just outside your cell. And as part of your move action you could easily snatch it all up.
_Miglasezis_ Dana broke the hold on her turn, so you aren't grappling her.
Dana screams in fury at Albert, but is unwilling to harm a town hero. "Let go of my dress!!!" She swats at his clutching hand and tries to yank the fabric loose. "RRRRRAAAA!!!!! You don't understand!!" She breaks loose from the tenuous grasp as fabric rips, leaving Albert holding a tattered bit of soft and clean, but freshly wrinkled, silk. Free of Albert's grip, but seeing no route to escape, she resigns herself. She plunges her fist into the dying form on the altar. A breathless scream escapes his lips. With her other hand, she pulls a small vial of water from her pouch, wrenches the cork loose with her teeth, and places the water droplets onto her tongue reverently. Then, holding her red-stained fist high into the air, she calls cries out, "Tiichir di Sargonnas!"
Dana Rolls Althletics check to free herself from her Grapple: 17 (succeeds) Dana casts Bless on Guard Red, Guard Green, and Ebrius
If you want, we can use your Athletics check to make a Haymaker Strike (see variant uses for skill checks in my campaign notes). The attack would do damage, but it's unarmed damage, so that would just be a 1. She can respond to the attack with a CON or DEX save vs the DC you set with your check (18), and will be knocked prone if she fails.
You could later make another grapple check without Disadvatage, since she's already prone.
Ok, it's about that time, when an elf druid/warlock teleports all over Krynn to bestow their blessings on the kind and heroic beings of the world. At the Laughing Dwarf Dance Hall, or wherever you reside, your character would've hung up an Oversized Sock of Mundane Holding, as is the tradition all over Krynn at this time of year.
Everyone will get a treat. Even if that treat is just gold or gems. However, for those who wish to roll a d12 (here in the OOC thread) there is a chance they could receive a special item of rare, common, or uncommon value. If you do wish to roll a d12, feel free to DM me with a wish list. Your list can be up to 10 items long, and may include one rare item, one common item, and one uncommon item on that list.

Dang, I had a good feeling about the roll. Oh well!
Next!
I think I gave you help so did you roll with advantage?

LOL
I'm back. My son's BFF had a birthday party/sleepover yesterday. And today was a Christmas party.
I'm beat. I can barely keep my eyes open. I haven't looked at the initiative order to see if there's anything I need to do, but I'll check tomorrow.

Hastos’ Holliday Roll: 11
That’s either amazing, or I’m getting a stack of paper plates in my stocking. Lol.
Holiday roll: 12
Well one of us got lucky! No idea if it is bad or good lol.
Nice! Grats!
I have this image in my head of Sera constantly braining Dana with the flat edge of her sword to keep her unconscious, lol.
