Ha ha. I am not used to that weapon attacks now give conditions. This is new rules and make combat a bit more complex. Seems smart not to get hit with new rules. Especially if it is many against one.kinda more "realistic " pain in combat this way
Does DM think that getting dressed would take one action or the entire turn?
I was assuming you were dressed. 😅 Just not wearing any armor. Heavy armor takes 5 minutes to don. But you can grab your shield with an action and as for weapons, do a STR check, DC 5 to determine how much you can scoop up in one arm (like getting all the groceries in one trip). For every point over 5, you can scoop an extra weapon under your arm. For the purposes of measuring the DC, the backpack (and therefor items contained therein) count as 1 item.

Conditions come with called shots, and even though you didn't declare one, it seemed to fit the vibe. You call the shot and roll with "Emphasis" which is something I learned from Brennan Lee Mulligan. You roll your d20 twice (4 times if rolling with Advantage or Disadvantage) and take the result that is closest to a 1 or 20. So, if you roll a (2, 19) your result is 19. But if you roll a (2, 17) your result is 2. A tie goes to the lowest result. So a (2, 18) would be a 2. If the result is a successful hit, then you do your regular damage + a condition that best fits with the nature of the attack (and corresponds well with the damage done).
Of course, that means you'll also have the ability to do called shots to the neck, or to the heart to end the conflict immediately. But attacks that require that level of precision will result in some hidden bonus checks (usually in the form of DEX vs DEX/CON or STR vs DEX/CON) that I'll make for you to determine whether the attack does lethal damage. But the hit will still hit and will do double damage if no Condition can be granted.
I'm using this encounter as a way to introduce some of the combat nuances I've made available to you. Like the ability to "borrow" feats, the ability to inflict conditions, and the ability to interact with the terrain.
I was assuming I was basically in a tunic and socks! Based on my roll (3), looks like I’m going to be in my tunic, socks, and a sword if I can keep from dropping it!
So would this count as a turn or an action? I as because I might use “Surge” if me grabbing a sword just counts as an action.
(EDIT) Sorry, I just re-read your first response. No further questions!
Don't forget your Oversized Sock of Mundane Holding! If you don't roll your d12, you still get something. But if you do roll, please send me a wish list of no more than 10 items. 1 may be a rare Item, 1 may be Uncommom, and 1 may be a Common item. The rest must be nonmagical.
Due to the nature of the holiday, I'm not going to impose a 24 hour rule yet. But if any of you aren't going to be able to post for the rest of the year (I know some of you may get a long vacation) please let me know so I can roll your attacks for you.
How far away lands a disarmed weapon? Pointless uf he can use a free action to pick it up right after it is knocked out of his hands. His turn comes right after mine. I could wait my turn so someone else take the cursed weapon away on their turn ofc.

Good question. And I agree... that does make disarming a little pointless. There should be a risk/reward balance.
Hmm, how about this?
Ranged Disarming Strike knocks the weapon 5' away (into the square opposite the attack, or closest adjacent if the target is standing next to a wall).
Melee Disarming Strike knocks the weapon to the ground, but picking it up (while a free action) provokes an AoO. You can also (after knocking the weapon to the ground) use your Interaction to kick the weapon away.
Or does that muddy things up too much? We can just say that if a person is successfully disarmed, the weapon is knocked 5 feet away either way.
Ok... Everyone should have received something in your Oversized Sock of Mundane Holding, even if you didn't roll for it.
If you don't like what you have, fear not. Items (even hard-to-sell magic items) can be bought and sold in Santekh now that supplies are in. Selling is easy enough. Buying new items are a little trickier, but as more supplies come in, more (and rarer) options will become available. Also... there's literally a dragon horde quest in your queue. Magic items abound in this game once you are ready to head back out for some questing.

Well to disarm it and then pick it up seems to at least give the maneouver some effect. ( or kick it away )
How did you get a +10 to the result?
I'm not contesting it, but I'm confused by it. It looks like your roll result with Advantage was 9. Is it a buff from a spell or something?
