I have to locate the rules on it, but building altars, shrines, temples, strongholds... all these have rules, and can be worked on as "Downtime Activities."
Albert won't have to oversee every detail. It's just something he'll have to check in on when they're in town. Eventually, the holy ground will emanate protection auras, blessings, and all that sort, and you'll be ale to perform (or receive) religious services there to receive blessings, inspiration, a passive income, or influence within the council as a religions advisor (off-camera if you prefer).
The party is going to be stuck in town for a bit, which we'll fast-forward through. But go ahead and state your downtime activities and make whatever dice rolls you need to accomplish them. If you already have a downtime activity you're working on, each day can count as two, because you're not out adventuring at this time. For those of you who are new (which is most of you at this point) I rolled Downtime mechanics into something you can tally over long-rests, as long as those downtime activities makes sense in the area your adventuring. Selling a magic item, carousing, or relaxation inside a dungeon makes no sense. But crafting items, doing research (if you brought a book on the subject with you), or training does. I should probably add that to post 1 of the OOC.
Anyways... I'm way too tired to look into it today. It's been a wild past five days. So I will try to dig deeper into that tomorrow.

We had to help someone move out of his abusive home. He's living with us now, as a roommate. We have plenty of rooms, but we don't exactly have a guest room, because we use all our rooms for something. So, we're moving everything around to create a room for him to live in. In the meantime, my spouse has been out getting lumber for the oncoming winter storm. There are several tent communities in the area that we bring food to, and they make campfires during the colder nights to keep warm and to reheat food. So, now that our lumber stores are big enough to bring to them, we had to cut them all down to size to make them easier to distribute. But then our chainsaw broke. So we had to start sawing and chopping them. But I can only push myself so hard (I am disabled) before I start getting sick and dizzy... it gets harder to move, and other stuff. And that's started happening. So... it's been a lot. 😅
oh take your time. Real life happens and I hope things work out for you and your new roomate. We sit in the tavern and drink pretend drinks and have a good time ;)
Yeah,, take care of yourself while you’re taking care of others! I know Texas is going through a cold snap right now so it’s great that you’re able to provide help to people in difficult situations. hopefully you guys won’t have the electric bills you had the last time Texas went through a freeze!

Real talk, older games used to be very naughty. Rolling for seduction was definitely a thing. There used to even be rule systems for it. In 3E, there was a splatbook called Book of Erotic Fantasy, including classes, spells, magic items, alchemical items, and even common materials that were designed to boost the more... shall we say racier aspects of the game. And TBH, the boosts they gave to certain skill checks that were generally harder to boost on a budget were pretty admirable. So I almost always allowed the content in my game to see who could stop blushing long enough to buy and equip the items.
That all went away after 4E. The target audience expanded (which is a good thing) and became much more family friendly. We even run campaigns for our son's friends in our home. And now that my son is experienced enough with the game, he runs games for the younger audiences while we run games for the grown-ups. And yes... the grown-ups definitely have attempted to seduce a lich. 😉 No success... I mean... they're literally dead inside. No blood to get pumping. But you can't blame a Tiefling bard for trying. And the player even wrote her own naughty limericks and couplets to add to the RP aspect of it, and I gotta give her props for the effort put in. I wasn't the DM at that particular game, but if I were, I would've at least given her inspiration for the effort.

I'm ok with raunchiness, as long as boundaries and comfort levels are established ahead of time. I believe the site rules limit RP to PG-13, which is why I limit it to PG-13. But, you PCs are the rock stars of this world. Most NPCs (in the worlds I create) never get past their original stat block unless they take on class levels for story reasons. So when you roll in with even Level 1 stats, you kind of look like demi-gods. And as you demonstrate your powers as a hero, a villain, a mischievous scamp, or something else in between, some people are just going to find that at least a little seductive.
I'm ok with you flirting, seducing, romancing, etc any of my NPCs (age restrictions do apply, they have to at least be an adult for their species). It won't always be effective, but I try to make it fun for you. 😉 Sometimes your character may get rejected, sure. I try to give each NPC a unique personality, backstory, and motivations that may influence their willingness to date. But sometimes, your character may be invited to the boudoir (where the curtains close) and you wake up the next morning with messy hair and possibly a random consequence (good or bad). Anything from Inspiration, or a friendly home to crash in when you're in town, an ally, a potential patron or quest-giver/gift giver (hurray for magic items!), a surprise pregnancy, an STI, an angry cuckold rival, a cohort, a dagger to your throat (it was an assassination attempt all along, oh no!!). But I'll only match the energy. An NPC may toss you a wink, smile, or something else of equal levels of innocence. But I won't do more unless the player does more (and anything that goes beyond what you might see on a TV show like Bob's Burgers or Adventure Time will be "behind the curtain" for a variety of reasons, but I'll list the big three:
1. I can't truly verify the age of anyone on this site, and I have no interest in crossing the age boundary (that is anyone under the age of 18 for me). 2. I don't want to make anyone in the group uncomfortable or feel awkward. 3. I don't want to get in trouble with the mods (if even there are any... the site polices itself pretty well) for getting too spicy.
But from player to player, consent (and player age, regardless of character age) must be established ahead of time. If the conditions are met, you're greenlit to party. Once you lean in to kiss, fade-to-black, and let the rest be implied.
