Welcome to Corinth, a vast and growing empire. This adventure takes place in Vastaris, the capital of Corinth with a stark beauty and a grand scenery. Many monumental spires and buildings litter the horizon. It feels majestic, yet oddly deceiving... recently, strange creatures have been popping up around the empire, and a strange wizard by the name of Merlin gathers 5 aspiring adventurers to get rid of this threat.
This campaign has various inspiration from many different medieval myths. On the flipside, Corinth is a somewhat magipunk empire, so firearm rules should be expected.
Characters start at level 3 with 0 exp, I plan to go all the way to level 20. The campaign will be run on a separate thread, homebrew is allowed but should be reasonable and approved by me. You can use standard array for stats, begin with regular starting equipment and 100 GP.
One post daily would be ideal, and backstories should be 1 paragraph minimum. Campaign starts when I have all 5 players ready. Have fun!
Is point buy okay and if we are interested what information do you need? Do you have an expectation for what percent of the campaign will be RP/Combat/Exploring focused?
Backstory: Simon is from a nation to the South East, he's an evangelist spreading the word of a new religion. He has been able to perform some minor miracles which got the attention of Merlin for this task
Backstory: He went by Igneous because he forgot his family name. Granted, he had been on the road for a few years to earn money as the muscle on a farm during harvest season or in a convoy during bandit season, but most people do remember their family name. Igneous was not bothered by having only one name and went about his tasks with simpleminded happiness since what he lacked in brains he made up for with his muscles and stamina.
Ephyra is a land created long ago by the 6 deities, Benelum, neutral good 3rd goddess of purity, Curio, chaotic neutral 2nd god of discovery and curiosity, Treya, neutral eldest goddess of order and leadership, Korroth, chaotic good 4th god of justice and battle, Matika, lawful neutral 5th goddess of spirits, and Athletis, lawful good youngest god of health and welfare.Together, the gods created Ephyra and every living creature (Curio played a large role) under the leadership of Treya. But it wasn’t all well, there was a 7th, forgotten god, twin brother of Benelum, chaotic evil god of malice Malinum. Banished by Treya, in his bitterness and rage Malinum created his own dimension, the 9 circles of hell.
There also exists many powerful archdevils and spirits in Ephyra, in case you’re interested in being a patron of one of those.
Lilpoe was born in a secluded Faewild satyr village where dance and song shaped daily life, yet he could never master their graceful rhythms. Instead, he found solace in quiet flute melodies and the forest’s hidden paths, tending to its secret places with genuine care. Over time, his deep connection to the wild awakened druidic gifts within him, perfectly complementing his keen senses and nimble feet.
Yearning for purpose, Lilpoe left home and wandered through Ephyra, honing the acrobatic discipline of a monk and the cunning stealth of a rogue. Though he still struggled to match his kin’s musical prowess, his resourcefulness and sharp perception led him to modest mercenary work—scouting hostile territories and guiding travelers through treacherous terrain.
News of his unorthodox talents eventually reached the wizard Merlin in Vastaris, who called upon Lilpoe to help quell the strange monsters afflicting Corinth. Grateful for a chance to prove himself, Lilpoe answered, flute and dagger at the ready, determined to defend the realm that had become his new home.

Valeria had always possessed a restless spirit, a yearning for something beyond the hallowed halls of the wizarding academy. While she excelled in her studies, mastering complex arcane formulas and demonstrating a natural affinity for magic, she felt a growing disconnect from the structured, predictable life laid out before her. The endless recitations and controlled experiments felt stifling, a cage for her adventurous soul. She longed to test her skills in the real world, to face unpredictable challenges and use her magic to make a tangible difference, not just in theoretical exercises. The whispers of ancient ruins, forgotten treasures, and monstrous threats lurking beyond the academy walls called to her, a siren song promising a life of excitement and purpose.
The final catalyst came during a particularly tedious lecture on the proper incantation for a self-stirring cauldron. Valeria, gazing out the window at the vibrant world beyond, realized she was wasting precious time. The carefully curated knowledge she was accumulating felt like dust in her hands compared to the experience she craved. She envisioned herself battling fearsome beasts, exploring hidden grottos, and using her magic to protect the innocent – a life of action and consequence, not just quiet study. The image of herself confined to a dusty library, cataloging arcane texts for the rest of her days, filled her with a profound sense of unease.
And so, Valeria made her decision. She would leave the academy, trading her scholarly robes for practical adventuring gear. She would embrace the unknown, seeking out challenges that would push her magic to its limits and allow her to forge her own destiny. The structured world of academia could no longer contain her; the wild, untamed world of adventure beckoned, promising a life of purpose, excitement, and the opportunity to truly discover the depths of her magical potential.
After being exiled from the clan, Fitzroy took to the streets of a nearby city to find solace in the bottom of a mug. Looking back, I guess a drunken “criminal” wasn't what the clan needed in the depths of his former home, Mount Sungard. They also didn't seem too keen on the multiple accidental fires and such brewing mishaps. But labeling him a criminal for blowing up a few things seems harsh. Granted, the vault explosion was pretty suspicious. After a few drinks at the tavern a thought comes into Fitzroys head. Maybe I can buy his way back in.
Thank you everyone for your interest in my campaign. I’ve just finished most of the preparations, so play starts in a day or two. You should all have joined a PM, that’s the chat mostly for OOC matters. As for Wysperra, if you could send me your character sheet that would be great.
Skold really couldn't tell you where he was born, although he's sure that he could find his way back to it - the exact location is always in the back of his mind like a beacon. It anchors him in the world so that he never feels lost, even if he doesn't know where he is. But he doesn't see any reason to go back to his birth place - why would he? He's already been there. And just as soon as he was old enough to fend for himself, he set out to see the REST of the world, and there's still so much more that he hasn't seen yet. The whole world is his home and he's fascinated by the sights there are to see, the cultures there are to experience and all the wonderful creatures - from this plane or others - that inhabit the world alongside him.

Is this a 2014 or 2024 rules and character creation?
We’ll be using 2024 rules
Is point buy okay and if we are interested what information do you need? Do you have an expectation for what percent of the campaign will be RP/Combat/Exploring focused?
Point buy is okay, and it will probably be 50% exploration 25% combat and 25% RP. I need background, backstory, class, subclass, and name.
