Vark sprays the remaining worg with ice and last goblin ducks out of combat, before breaking into a run back down the pass. The worg also slinks away from Thurston, struggling to move after being hit by the ray of frost. The entire warband is in retreat.
Thurston takes Dorno and uses his own curative energies to help the firbolg close his wound.
"Now rest brave Dorno. You've done well as always. Thor's pleased..." he says smiling to his friend while feeling the magic of the spirit closing his own wounds.
"Let me help you with that " he says to Bründir and impose his hands to his wound.
To finish he helps Val to sit against the wagon
" I do not know if you are brave, stupid or just the braver stupid warrior I've ever met " he says to her " but I feel honored to fight at your side." he says to her while applying his last magic to help close her wound.

Bründir gruffly shrugs away Thurston before returning the wagon, "I'm fine. A bit bruised, but fine." The dwarf starts to climb the outside of the wagon to get a better vantage, "All ye bloody an' beaten best get in. Us that 'ave strength best get somewhere useful. I say we charge on, don' let'em catch us ag'in. They come back, we keep goin' an shoot th' bastards in their damned eyes." Bründir readies his crossbow atop the wagon and begins searching cliffs for sign of scouts.

"All this wounds make us better warriors yes, but only if we mend them so we can fight again!"he laughs " And I think that Thor has plenty of fights against those rats in the near future!"
Val gives Thurston are hard look for a moment that softens at his praise. She smiles and places her large hand upon his shoulder. “The honor belongs to me, Thurston. All of you are valiant warriors.” She looks down at the now healed gash, but notices it still twinges as she moves and says nothing. “You all are my tribe, I will never leave you to die alone. I once was not with my tribe when they needed me, never again. I will die before I let any of you fall.”
"We fight together "says Thurston to Val " We enter the halls of Valhala together" he offers his hand and grabs her forearm to help her stand so she can return to the wagon.
Dorno is relieved that the violence is over and looks to Brundir. "Dorno is sorry, funny man, he did not tell the stinky beast who is the boss before he ran away. Funny man who IS the boss?"
Dorno quickly moves over the where the unicorn spirit is and giggles as it dashes around him rapidly. "Friends, come close! Come close! Oak Father sends spirits only for good peoples. He thinks you do good, and Dorno is glad."
Once the unicorn spirit has done its work, everybody is left feeling refreshed and ready to continue. Even those injured in the battle see their cuts and bruises magically close and fade. Only Val is left with the unpleasant twisting in her stomach.
The wagon rolls on down the pass and the trail of blackened worg blood on the snow stretches out before them. It isn't long before the party happens upon the first dead beast, collapsed from running and bled out on the ground. The prints of small boots hurry off away and on down the pass.
Eventually they come across another fallen worg, and another, and more footprints. The fourth beast they find is different. The tracks of the goblin rider also heads east, but this time accompanied by its own trail of blood. This one was hurt.
Ten minutes later they come across what must be the last worg of the warband, slumped on the ground and unable to run any further. Here the goblin's bloody trail ends. It is lying against the rocks at the side of the road, clutching desperately at a head wound, its hair matted with blood.
Dorno approaches the surviving goblin with the others, folds his arms, and scowls at the creature. "Dorno learns mean goblins never sorry." He looks to the others for what to do.
Val joins Dorno standing over the goblin with her Maul in hand as she glares down at the miserable creature. She kicks him and snarls. “If you talk, maybe we let you live as a prisoner. If not, I break your legs first. Then your arms. How many of you are there? Where are you attacking Sheercleft from? Who is in charge?! Why are you doing this?! TALK!” She leans down and screams into the creature’s face!
The goblin cowers and shrieks in fear and a foul smell wafts up from it to those leaning over the wretched creature.
"Goblins many," it hisses in broken Breannian, grovelling in front of the enormous goliath. "Goblins come from below. Warlord tell us to fight and we fight! Sheercleft his now!"
Val looks at her comrades. “This city has been taken by the goblins?” She wrinkled her nose against the smell, but keeps on questioning. “Do the people still live?”
Bründir levels his crossbow on the goblin captive, "Ye all'll wanna move," he kneels on the wagon, settling in with his target in sight, "Ye get one answer. Might be ye get shot, might be ye don'. All yer choice. First: Where's yer warlord now?"
