Anders turns up his bottom lip with a measured nod of his head, as though to say "not bad", before stepping up and drawing a longbow that he has gathered from one of the crates. Quicker than most eyes can follow he looses two arrows at one of the remaining goblins. It drops to the ground with a gurgle as blood fills its throat. Several miners file out after him, and the last guard falls to several crossbow bolts in its chest.
Without hesitation, the miners silently hurry to each of the bodies, stripping them of weapons and keys and dragging them into the buildings. It isn't long before bundles of weapons are being ferried into the other houses, and in short order all two hundred of the miners are armed and ready to take back their home.
"Now, go!" Anders rasps to their rescuers. "Save the others! Signal us when it's done and we will start by raiding the northern camp."
Valaith looks around to ensure all the goblins have been felled as her ragged breathing slows and the icy spirits poof out of existence around her. She looks to the others for ideas of some sort of signal.
Seid nods as he approaches Anders. “Look for another of those bolts of fire being fired straight into the sky. That will be your signal,” he sighs and hesitated as if weighing the next few words. ”For what it’s worth, I am sorry that you and your fellows have suffered at the machinations of those whom I once followed. I was naive and unaware as to the truth of them. I wish to remedy that.”
Thurston hears Seid words and palms his back passing his arm over his shoulders and almost lifting him from the ground.
"Well said. I know I doubted you but I think you have a good heart boy. Freya look upon you. Now let's go and kill more of this vermin." he walks away leaving the wizard with an almost dislocated shoulder. " you did well my friend" both Seid and Anders hear he says to Val "But I think I am ahead by one!"
Hurrig approaches Seid, "Thank you. I know what it's like ta get caught up with the wrong crowd. They seem all well an' fine at first. But then they turn on ya. Means a lot for ya to help us fix ya wrong."Hurrig extends a large hand with stout fingers out for a handshake of camaraderie. "Let us work together and get the rest of the townsfolk free."

The raucous cackling of the encamped goblins can be heard from beyond the row of houses on the far side of the quad. However, as Jex peers back out onto the road north from the bridge, all seems quiet for now.
As the miners in the quad begin to quietly organise themselves into units, Ringrut can be seen taking charge of the dwarven warriors. It seems he was being held in one of the other houses.
"The families. It's better to give that miners a reason to fight that a reason to worry and fear. Then we take out the coward general and their leuteniants. As long as we keep them busy and not able to go out and organize the troops while the miners attack it wouldn't matter if we are discovered or not, but we need to keep hidden until we are fighting them. Once the village is free. Then the wizards. "
The party make their way north towards Ringrut's tavern, ducking between houses and creeping down allies as they go. On the approach ever increasing amounts of goblin activity can be seen. Chittering groups of the smaller green-skins roam the streets and a pair of orange-skinned hobgoblins stand stiffly to attention outside the establishment's front door.
"Shite, looks like it'll be tough ta get in that way, too many eyes. Maybe we should try the backdoor." Hurrig wipes some sweat off of his brow, the nerves of sneaking around unnoticed getting to him. "I think that is the best way ta get in the tavern."

Jex nods at the suggestion, happy to take the local advice and looks for a quiet way around the side that would keep his companions far from the watchful eye of the hobgoblins.
Jex darts across the street like a breath of winter wind. The shadows cling at his ankles as he strays further from Dorno and slips between the buildings on the far side, the colours of his cloak shifting to match the wooden walls. It doesn't take long for him to work his way around the back of the building and shimmy over the wall around the tavern's yard. Inside he can see a half-plate-clad hobgoblin stalking back and forth with a sour look on its face. It appears to be ranting at two subordinates in goblin.
Hurrig in a fury dashed across the street, moving unseen that’s to Dorno’s magic. He gets down the alleyway and looks ahead of him gazing to the top of the wall. “Ah shit, forgot about the walls.... well I guess it’s up an’ over” Hurrig begins to scale the wall with ease. He makes it to the top, and makes eye contact with Jex. Suddenly a look of shock springs onto the dwarfs scruffy face as he begins to tumble downwards. “Ahh ****...” Jex hears from the other side of the wall followed by a crash, thud, and groan. Hurrig picks himself up, dusts himself off. He sees the door and sighs to himself... Shoulda just done this to start... Hurrig takes a few steps back and with all of his might charges through the door. He looks at Jex “we’re good.”

Jex curses under his breath and pulls the mask of silence over his face, getting into a good position he waits to leap down behind the last guard through the door to take him out quietly.
From his perch atop the wall, Jex sees the hobgoblins inside the tavern look up abruptly when they hear the crashing thump as Hurrig hits the ground outside. They peer out the window suspiciously, only to leap to their feet drawing weapons as the door to the yard is smashed in from the outside. The leader picks up an enormous black greatsword and leads the trio out back to investigate.
Behind Hurrig, Bründir and Thurston have formed up, ready to support their friend. However, the goblins on the street outside have also noticed the loud noises coming from the alley down the side of the tavern. Dorno, Seid, Valaith and Vark can see a group of four creeping up to the corner to peer down the path and see what is causing such a commotion.
Jex reacts quickly to the changing situation, drawing two daggers he throws the first directly down into the neck of the leader of the hobgoblins, with barely a spurt of crimson he falls to the floor clutching at the blade in his neck. Greatsword clanging on the ground as it drops beside him. Jex releases the second dagger left handed into the chest of a second hobgoblin which grunts in pain, taken completely by surprise, it doesn't seem to have penetrated deeply enough to cause serious damage though and Jex turns and drops from the building, out of sight beside Brundir and Hurrig. A villainous unseen darkness radiating from his mask, clouding the mind of the hobgoblin who looked up when he was hit by the dagger.
“No no.. it’s too soon” he says to his friends when he hears the hobgoblins moving to investigate.
“Well, I guess this was going to happen sooner or later” he says while their friend hits the door “to be honest. I thought it would be me who make the noise.” He says with a grin when the door finally cracks and opens.
He doesn’t hesitates and charges forward, raising his warhammer to hit one of the hobgoblins. The creature uses his sword to parry Thurston weapon, and they cross guards. The hobgoblin leans forwards putting his weight under his weapon and growls at the human, trying to intimidate him. Thurston approaches him and roars back at him. With a sudden headbutt, the paladin Brooke’s the nose of the guard, getting him off guard. He then swings his warhammer, connecting a solid hit on the hobgoblin chest that sends him a few steps back.
Thurston stands tall and hit his shield with his warhammer, mocking him to attack.
