I'll roll the stats and assign them in order and then see what comes into mind as a character.

Those stats turned into Gene the Aarakockra Ranger. He's a local, been hunting undead in the jungles near Port Nyanzaru. Wants to go further into the jungle, but has not dared alone. So he's looking for a group of adventurers to learn more of the jungle and kill more of the undead.
Hi! I'm home on baby leave for a while, so I'm interested as well. I think I'd like to try a drunken master monk, perhaps a tabaxi - always has a pouch of the ol' catnip nearby, that sort of thing.
Tab grew up an orphan on the outskirts of Port Nyanzaru, begging and stealing in order to make a life for himself. Being tabaxi, his innate curiosity led him into trouble more often than not, and it wasn't long before he stole a pouch from an herbalist that was a frontman for a local thieve's gang. While being chased by the goons the herbalist sent after him, Tab tripped and fell face first into the open pouch, and got a whiff of the most wonderful intoxicating scent - the ensuing fight was just a blur in Tab's memory, but the thugs lay unconscious at his feet, and he knew that he'd have to find more of whatever this dried herb was. Perhaps he could even brew it into some sort of elixir?
From all the PbP games I played, never did I once saw someone playing a druid. I'll try doing that class. Leaving a link below later. I'll place a small description instead.
Gynugri Goblin Druid
Backstory:
Persecuted because of his monstrous origins, Gynugri lives in hiding at an abandoned park with his pet mouse between the hustle and bustle of the city, barely scraping what he needs to live from day to day.
Trusting other people has been hard for him because of his past so he turned to nature for help.
He knows that it is not biased unlike the people who thinks just because they live in the comforts of civilization that they are superior to others living simple lives.
Harnessing its power, he decided to make a safe haven for his fellow persecuted cowering in the shadows of civilization with the help of the elements.
Melanthios was orphaned at the age of 2, and thrown out onto the streets. He survived there the best he could until a generous retired soldier took him in. That soldier taught him archery, and when Melanthios was old enough he joined the army. However, his chaotic nature chafed at all of the rules and regulations, and he eventually deserted. He wandered the land far and wide, looking for renown and money. Eventually, he heard of a valuable opportunity to see new places and get new treasure, and jumped on it.
Currently playing in: Quest for the Shunned City, Coliseum of Conquest, DragonDenn's Dragonlords, Shipwrecked on Fugue, Tomb of Annihilation, Razor's Lost Mine of Phandelver, The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above
Currently DMing: Princes of the Apocalypse, Out of the Abyss, Coliseum of Conquest—The Arena (Sometimes)
Hmmm...me thinks magic would have helped in retrospect...but magic..too tough to learn...Axe better. Great Axe even stronger!
Intelligence fades away. Muscles grow to epic proportions. Warpaint appears all over a hulking mass of brute strength. A singularly spectacular Great Axe, capable of splitting a goblin cleanly in two, held in both hands...
Me Grugg. Toughest barbarian in Chult. Maybe only Barbarian in Chult. So many dead...Evil is strong here. My Great Axe is stronger! Grugg kill evil again.
Pick me. I crush skulls easy like grapes. Many wars for Grugg. Many victories for Grugg.
Grugg stands tall, hoping to not be the last picked like the time when he was a small boy and the others all got picked first. That moment forever changed him as he dedicated his life to being the strongest champion in the lands - Grugg will never get picked last again. Unless it's for a contest of intelligence. Grugg was never any good at math..
(edit: realized I used the wrong dice roll...purely out of curiosity, rolling again to see what the difference is.)
Backstory: Though born to the noble house of Bleakstone, Zashier would later become an apprentice wizard following a family tradition seeking to undue the damage of their ancestors in inviting demonic power. His curiosity grew to be insatiable over time. Though concerned, knowing that past more cautious research yielded, the patriarch are the family agreed with his pursuits and eventual moving out of the family home to live with his master for a time. As something of a test between from both the patriarch of the family and his master, until Zashier either made a name for himself or succeeded where past family members failed he could no longer use the family name. As a result, as well as a bit of a final jest at the two, Zashier took up the name Nobody. For until he succeeds, that's all he would be.

Edit: Decided to go with a classic, a Forest Gnome Wizard, instead, as there seemed to be a lot of Wisdom-based characters proposed already, and it seemed like a pain not to have the sheet match the proposed character.
Race: Forest Gnome Class: Wizard Alignment: Neutral Backstory: Alvyn works at a university in a small town on the Sword Coast, specializing in the arcane traditions of hunter gatherer tribes. He has been commissioned by a small publisher to travel to Chult and learn about the jungle dwellers there. Although outwardly mild-mannered and unassuming, Alvyn has an overdeveloped ego and a strong drive to increase his own magical capabilities, and he views the book contract as an excuse to enrich himself and, more importantly, gain access to artifacts he can use for his own benefit.
----
Here's an alternate, in case there's already a wizard.
Name:Eztli Race: Yuan-Ti Pureblood (Ignore the Tiefling race in the sheet; again with the Volo's) Class: Bard Background: Spy Alignment: Neutral Backstory: Eztli is an operative of a Yuan-Ti intelligence agency, sent to Chult to investigate rumors of a looming political conflict that threatens to destabilize the region. The agency has not yet taken a position as to whether promoting or preventing this conflict is in their best interest, and Eztli's assignment is not to get involved in any way but merely to find out as much as she can about the political dynamics so the agency can take an informed stance on the issue. Like other agents, Eztli obtains information through subtle psychological manipulation of those she interacts with, leveraging her natural (and midly supernatural) charms to soften their defenses.
