So, allow me to summarize this venture for brevity. Sunny sneaks off with surprising adeptness (especially considering that it’s in broad daylight). However, with Sunny’s usual hijinks and one “borrowed” cloak later, Sunny has successfully integrated himself into a nearby tour group.
The tour guide leads your group throughout the Divination Hall and goes over the many and varied alumni of the college. Such magnificent figures as... Hey. Hey, Sunny! Wake up! Anyway. One notable figure that Sunny pays attention to is the picture of a dwarf named Otan. Judging from his portrait, he has an eye patch over one eye and a thick grey beard under his otherwise combed-back hair. The tour guide goes on about how Otan was a student here many, many years ago and has since become the Dean for the School of Divination. Furthermore, every year since his election, Otan has hosted a quarter-annual competition for both teachers and students. During this week of competition, everyone is banned from divination and must give a bogus prophecy to another person. Whoever can make their prophecy come true, in the most extravagant way possible, wins. He has never lost. The tour continues down the hall. Are you sticking around?

Rex'aliha - Hoard of the Dragon Queen ~ Mozu of Worms- The Stormpoint Mountains ~ Muireach Maon- Shepherd’s Crossing ~ Crownsguard - Storm King’s Thunder ~ Gunnar Wayland -Boats, Rocks, and Ruffians ~ POUF!- Ex-Ravens ~ Pascal LaRoux - Long Road Dragon Heist
Sunny stands in the middle of the hallway, his arms akimbo and his cloak thrown dramatically over one shoulder. He has observed some of the other members of the tour raising a hand before asking a question. Assuming (rightly) that his questions are at least twice as important as theirs, he raises both hands in the air and declares, "I have heard that..." Damn, what did they call it? Oh, right! "...DIVINATION wizards sometimes use a magic ball to see the future. I would very much like to see one. Where are they kept?"
The tour guide, a peppy, young (likely student) human points to you, “Correct! The use of crystal balls is a valuable tool in any diviner’s repertoire. However, due to possible security and privacy concerns, Lord Kirkgrim has listed them as one of the few magical practices outlawed to the general populace of Everywhere. Crystal balls are to be used in a strictly professional sense and their use has been prohibited in the civilian use. Because of this, any diviners keep their crystal balls locked away, usually in some sort of magic... holding... thing. They chuck it in a portal. Anyway, keep up everyone! Next stop, a guest lecture on time lens theory!”
Is Sunny following, or heading back?

EDIT: Sunny jogs ahead and shouts, "Wait! Can you tell me where I can find a divininer... Diviviv- Where I can find one of your future magic seeing wizards?" He dredges up a term someone else used a moment ago. "Someone with 'Oh-penn off-iss ourz'?"
The group is a bit shocked at the very large badger man sprinting ahead of them and blocking their path. The guide coughs and clears her shock, “U-uh, yes, of course. Right that way, door on the left, Professor Hassur.”
Assuming you look that way, they swiftly move past you.

Dahme'dre tries to discern through Sunny's excited rambling when this week long competition will take place.
"Yes, It is a very nice cloak." she says calmly. ... "Oh the dean, you say." she says. ... "A competition? How exciting?" she nudges his rant in that direction. ... "And when will that take place?" She asks.
"Once every 'korter', whatever that means. Not happening now- I knew you would be interested if it were." Sunny beams- incredibly proud of himself. "Anyway, it seems that this Professor Hassur guy probably has a ball. We should find his office and ki-" He glances sharply at Alijurn again. "And... ask him if we can... borrow it..."
Alijurn looks Sunny up and down, ignoring the rest of his remarks. "You're going to return that cloak to its rightful owner, right?"
(Oh, Alijurn...)
Sunny stops walking, then slowly turns toward the dragonborn. "The cloak is with its rightful owner." A dangerous glint flashes in the badger's eyes. "That is, unless you plan to take it for yourself. It is several sizes too large for you, though."
"Oh good Honey," Ashe holds a cookie out for Sunny. "Such a good, dear boy."Is this patronizing? Sweet? Who knows! "Thank you for the recon."
The spider pulls out her fan and begins to flutter her face with it. "Any ideas how to use this information?" After a second, she pauses the fan in front of her face. Ashe then thinks in Dahme'dre's direction with some ideas [message]: The competition would be the perfect time to use the crystal ball, but we must distract our dear ally Alijurn. I think you and he should enter this competition? Or perhaps he and I? I'm afraid I'm not as good at running an alternative narrative as you might be, but I do hope you will consider allying with me on this. The other pair shall go to the office while all are distracted.

Dahme'dre nods. "It seems we have a way of finding ourselves at the center of extravagant and unlikely events." She notes. "If we offer our services to parties involved in the competition, they may be grateful for the aid, and help us in turn."
Dahme'dre thinks a moment. "Alijurn, do you think it would suit us best to ally with the dean, who has a history of success in this competition, or should we help another, who would be more grateful for the assistance?"
Alijurn looks like he is fighting an inner fight. "We are here on a crucial and serious mission and now we are entering a contest for college students?" A very subtle kick in the dirt. "However may be right about getting on the deans good side with the competition. I will take care of him, since I don't trust any of you, except for maybe miss Dahme'dre with actually being a help in the situation. Strong allies are what we need. You should of course feel free to join the competition yourselves, so we have more chances to win... as long as you don't go around sabotaging others that is."

Incapable of understanding anything resembling a hidden meaning, Sunny accepts Ashe's words graciously. "You're most welcome, scary spider chef." He sniffs the cookie and gingerly puts it away into his pack. "I do not understand why you all are here, or why you are in need of my help. What did you do, and who are these people you seek to learn more about?"
Dahme'dre smiles slyly and nods to Alijurn, "Yes, Excelent idea. Let's go meet the dean before we plan our next move." She says as they start down the path again.
Her eyes shimmer with a pleasant blue hue and the air around her smells of sunflowers.
Sunny looks at the other members of the party. It suddenly occurs to him that his employers have never explicitly stated what, if anything, they play to pay him in return for his services. No matter- surely they will reward him handsomely given the quality of his work to date. Finally (after what feels like more than two weeks of silence), he strides forward! His emerald green cloak trails behind him dramatically as he draws his hood. "Come along, then, masters! Let Sunstripe carve a path of truth straight to this 'deen'!"
Alijurn keeps a close eye on Sunny, walking right by his side through the halls. "Figuratively carving a path I hope, or "your masters" will have to relieve you of your service to us, Sunstripe."
Sunny (who is positively effervescent following the acquisition of his cloak) calls over his shoulder, "Oh, of course, master dragoncop!" He notices two spindly looking would-be mages pass him and he says, "I would not dream of messily disassembling any students on their 'kwad'!"
