Lokk eyes shine at Gundrun's words. Unable to find the words at the moment, he just nods in appreciation before ushering Brocc the horse along onto the road. Lokk later chuckles at Mixum's concern, but held his tongue on any commenting on it.

Ordrin rides up beside Mixum as they depart. "You're certainly a big lad," he begins, "but trust that Moradin's wise wisdom will sate your hunger, however large. Let me tell you all about him. It began millennia ago when the world was cold and empty..."
... many hours later... "Then one thousand years ago Mighty Moradin led the noble and powerful Torgard clan, led by the giant dwarf King Harald Torgard, to the rich and hallowed halls of the Gutter Peak. I, myself, am descended of Harald Torgard (on me mother's side) and the Torgards have been the masters of Gutter Peak ever since (except for that spot during the wars) and they have prospered in rich abundance (our recent trouble aside). King Torgard was a giant and powerful dwarf, nearly two cubits tall!, feet the size of shovels, hands that could wrap entirely around your head! (well, maybe not yours, Mixum), and six fingers! King Torgard's teeth..."
"O' Lord Helm. Please give me the strength not to stab out my ears."Lokk complain quietly, and yet more than loudly enough to be over heard at the third hour mark. For try the half-orc might, the stories had long since lost interest to him. Even distracting himself keeping look out did little to drown out the words.

As the party travels Pip laughs out loud as Mixum suddenly runs into the woods snipe hunting.
The party begins to notice a small owl seems to be following the party. Eventually the owl flys over and settles on Pip's head.
"Everyone, I would like you to meet Archimedes. I find I am growing in strength in my powers and have been able to call a familiar to accompany me. He's a Northern Saw-whet Owl."
The small owl lets off a shrill, penetrating call several times in succession.
Lokk furrows his brows then lofts one at the bird. "Is it always going to be doing that, or only when there's trouble?"He asks Pip on the wary side. But once assured he just nods, and sets his sight back on the path ahead. "I don't know much about this familiar business. But if you don't mind him playing scout instead of me, having a bird's eye in the sky could do us a world of wonders."

Ordrin, realizing he's rather alone now, trots over to Anton. "Anton, me lad. You look like you'd be interested to hear of the three hundred years war! I believe we may have the time," he winks.
As Anton rushed into the woods Pip wiggles his fingers and the illusion of a bear starts to follow him around always disappearing when Anton turns around to look at it or see what is behind him and then reappearing when he faces forward again. The Illusion dances around and makes faces at Anton.
Mixum looks around for a few minutes and then back at the antics and then around again just to make sure there aren't any real brigands. "we should probably proceed," he calls out mildly.
Mixum
"Yes, but maybe we should have lunch first.. you know just so we won't miss out on a meal."
"Well then we certainly need to leave or we'll never get out of here if we have to satisfy your hunger before we leave."
Pip urges Tug ahead and heads in the direction they were told to go.

Mixum
Mixum smiles politely and looks over his shoulder looking for Pip to rescue him.
Pip shrugs as Mixum looks back at him. Mixum also notices that Pip's pony has slowed to allow more space between himself and the talkative dwarf.

Mixum
Mixum looks sharply to the left, off the road.
"Oi there! Brigands!" He shouts over the King Togarth saga and rushes headlong into the woods, crossbow at the ready.
Mixum spends several minutes stomping around trees threatening possible ne'er-do-wells.
As the party travels Pip laughs out loud as Mixum suddenly runs into the woods snipe hunting.

Mixum
Mixum returns from the woods and heads towards the end of the line towards Pip's owl. He calls out "Looks to be all clear now!"
"Ach, me, I thought it was a mad flautist," Ordrin says, coming out of his reverie. "Now she's a pretty little bird, isn't she."
Lokk furrows his brows then lofts one at the bird. "Is it always going to be doing that, or only when there's trouble?" He asks Pip on the wary side. "He's just saying hi to you all, that is all. And yes, of course, he can scout ahead."
The owl suddenly launches into air and rises up about the party. He goes about 75 feet in front and glides along 25 feet in the air.
Mixum
"Oh that should come in quite useful !" Mixum continues to ride near the end of group along with Pip.
Ordrin, realizing he's rather alone now, trots over to Anton. "Anton, me lad. You look like you'd be interested to hear of the three hundred years war! I believe we may have the time," he winks.
"Why I'd love to hear... hey look, a bear!" Anton replies, sprinting off after the others.
