"All are welcome who want to do good work. I thought you might be looking for some coin for yer fiddle skills. The only thing this town's inhabitants will give you is a cold hug." Ordrin starts leading the party to the south (ooc: to the noted building).
OOC: One person had given a direction, and I was ready to go with them. It's especially in-character, as you already noticed by Riris's disposition towards the party. Unless someone else points towards another direction, I think it's fair to assume this is where we'll be going to.
It was mentioned, but just double checking on the plan. Moving things forward (at last!) now.
Following a warm exchange, the group settle on exploring at least the cottages across the way for a perhaps long overdue payday. And after a few minutes of searching around, followed by the moving of some debris, the group are able to pry apart some loose floorboards, revealing a lockbox inside. Within it, you all find 700 cp, 160 sp, and 100 gp. It seems whoever owned the shop did fairly well for themselves!
Once you've decided on who would carry it all, or split on the spot, you all consider your next step. Given the fact that the two twig blights that entered later into an earlier encounter hadn't brought along any ash covered friends, anyone can safely presume the building to the immediate west is cleared of any threats. That said, there are plenty of dilapidated buildings yet unexplored towards the south, as well as the eastern half of the village.
You all(except Riris) were also informed of some mask wearing individuals towards the eastern side of the village as well. So, where to next for the party?
For Those Interested In Investigating the building to the immediate left of the shop:
Unfortunately, any follow-up investigations inside do not result in any further fortunate findings. After a time you conclude the place to be more of a residential home whose former occupants may have been more fortunate in leaving with anything of value long ago.
"Well, that was certainly worth the stop. We made sure they were empty and hauled in some coin. Very nice. Lets follow the path to the east. Though I wonder now if we should check the building across from where Reidroth lives. Yeah lets do that. Let's head straight south and then start with the building across from his and then work east."
Along the way Pip fills Riris in on who Reidroth is and what's going on in Thundertree.
"We're helping him out so he'll help us find Wave Echo Cave."
"I've actually heard of Rediroth before, my cousin told me about him, and there was this woman who told me about what was going on in Thundertree, I think her name was Mirna." Riris responds the moment Pip started explaining about those two things, but then it does seem something she doesn't know about is mentioned. "Now, Wave Echo Cave? What even is that? Ya don't need to tell me it's a cave, I get that, but what is there that we're looking for?"
I am presuming at least this point you guys are walking and talking. So, feel free to get at least one more round of conversing going. Though in the meantime...
Fortunately or unfortunately(?), Odrin does not notice anything enroute to the southern houses that particularly stand out as a danger. You all do see as you're at least going nearby Rediroth's home an annoyed, one-eyed half-orc sitting just outside the druid's door, chiseling away at some stone with a makeshift stone cutter by the looks of it. Aside from greeting you all with an upnod, he goes right back to carving into a hand-sized stone.
None of you know why he's doing it. But anyone with a passive insight of 13 or higher suspect it's probably some other task the Druid set him to in exchange for some answer or two. Regardless, you are all about a minutes walk away from the most southern and unexplored ruin at this point. You all can see that this ruin looks as if it might once have been a farmhouse. It is now half swallowed by a dense thicket, with trees growing up through its ruined foundations. The lane continues south a short distance past the ruin before ending in an overgrown field.

From Hyakujo: OoC: Is there a roof on the farmhouse? Are the walls still there? Can we see inside?
There are some walls. Enough for anyone to make an accurate assumption about it being a farmhouse. Fortunately from the lane, the wall facing the group have largely succumbed to time and nature, and are little more than skeletal wood remains. The same goes for the roof, which is even more of a shadow of its former self. Unfortunately, in its place, and growing as far as back as a vine choked far wall, is a robust thicket and tall grass obscuring anything and everything possibly lying on the ground.
The latter, Odrin only realize after having stood on his tiptoes just to see as far back. That, and a glint of gold embedded in the far back wall.
You all recall that, at least when it came to the Zombonies and plant creatures from before that neither engaged the party until the party approached, or were called in some manner.

Odrin throws his rock, rustling much of the grass in the process. A minute of waiting passes.... then perhaps two... and then.... the nothing happens aside a warm breeze that coasts its way through the area, gently causing the greenery to dance and wave.
What does anyone decide t do next?

Riris decides to follow the example set by the dwarf of the group. She picks one rock and throws at the farmhouse as well, while also putting extra effort on her throw.
"Is that what we're doing now? I don't get it, but if that's what ya want me to do. Couldn't we go inside, though? I think that's a bit more interesting..."
Riris, being the one that gave the idea in the first place, goes in, following the rest of the group, all the while keeping an eye out for anything that looks like a threat.
(Edit: Nop.) Riris looks to the side once and then thinks that was enough, so she continues walking along with full trust there's no danger in the way.

OOC- I say we check the building with the lock box and the one just west of it. I don't think we ever actually went inside those buildings.
Sounds good 👍
