Copper's face lights up, expecting to be able to guess exactly what the object is, but the exuberance drops along with his ears as he realizes he has no clue what the odd disc is.
Vasha and Kinnik get to read the spoiler. None of ya other folks can make head or tails of it!
You recognize this object as a schema. It's basically a schematic of sorts. House Cannith and other tinkerers use these in their creations of their various wondrous inventions. Think: the lightning rail, the airships, and even the Warforged themselves. These schema, when in the hands of a tinkerer, can create a variety of things!
Of course, you have no idea how to read it or what any of the symbols mean.
If you want to answer Boss, feel free to say whatever you like! How you came to know of what a schema is I'll leave up to you. It could be from a few times you've stolen from or flirted with a House Cannith member/tinkerer - anything that isn't too outlandish if you please. :)
Here is a nice visual reference for you all:

Kinnik cocks his head, remembering a lift in the market some years back. Then he says in a high, well-to-do voice, "I say! Get back here with my schema, you ugly little bird brat!"
"Oh hoh, ever the scamp, eh?"Boss closes their palm and the disk vanishes. They lean forward and look directly at Kinnik. As they do, you see sharp teeth from their lower jaw begin to protrude from their lips. They slowly inch forward, forming tusks. "Indeed, little bird, the disk is a schema.
"And this schema will be ourticket to a betta life." Boss stands up suddenly. With the motion, you see their skin suddenly shift wildly between shades of peach, sand, dark wood, and finally settling back into something gray. Boss is a thicker looking man now, orcish but with the wrong color scheme. Their expression changed too from one of mild amusement to something more impatient. "Listen you bums, we got an opportunity on our hands. I don't need you mucking it up, so pay attention!"The soprano voice is gone and replaced with a low and rumbly bass. "I'll be needin' your word that ya won't go tryin' ta pull any fast ones, eh? If ya mess this up then you're a dead'un. Got it!?"

"You have my word, my friend. You know me as a true man... er... machine of honor, and you know that I could not possibly go back on my word, lest I be known as a dishonorable scoundrel. I prefer to be known as an honorable scoundrel. The scoundrel part is fine. Just not the dishonorable part. So, uh... yeah."

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Copper nods vigorously "Of course, Boss! We won't disappoint." he says, eagerness threatening to burst out of him. This is Copper's first chance to really prove himself, to everyone really. It's clear that he intends to make the most of it.
"Just say the word, and we're there, Boss." Vasha flips her coin in the air, a trailer of electricity following behind like a tail, before it pops in a small cloud of sparks and falls back to her palm.

Olen smirks about being a straight thief.
"So what's the plan then Boss? How are we going to turn that disc into our good fortune?"
A smile plays across the orc's lips. Boss seems pleased with your answers to them. They maintain this large figure, but already you see the head shifting once more to look more like a human's. "Glad you asked, Olen. I gotta buy'ah lined up for this gig. The Golden Lotus itself may become the hippest joint this side of the Downstairs if we find this schema... first. This is where you all come in.
This schema is located somewhere in the underbelly of the city. Ain't nobody knows where it is... except for one guy - Professor Garthen Daela at MU."Boss shrinks a bit and takes on a more feminine appearance once more, looking a bit like a street thug or a cheap prostitute. "If you can find out the location from Daela, then you can go and retrieve the item. Problem is the guy has set-up a bounty at the House Deneith enclave," an exasperated sigh escapes Boss' lips. House Deneith typically works with the law and what's worse - they are typically efficient. "We gotta beat these guys to the punch. This is an important gig, so I suggest you guys grab some intel and show up at Daela's day job at MU, but if you got any better ideas - lay 'em on me."

"So we high-tail it to Daela, get the information, then beat those Deneith chumps to it. They'll never see us coming!" Copper leaps up, rearing to go. "So uh, where exactly is MU?"
Olen pushes off the wall where he had been leaning. Stepping forward he utters a quick command word and his clothes transform into a fine set of upper class clothes. The kind you might see, people from the upper wards, wearing. A few seconds later an older human is wearing the clothes and, with a pompous and aristocratic voice, says,
"Perhaps I could be of service?"
The man gives a formal bow before continuing,
"I am familiar with Morgrave University, having spent some time there studying in my youth."
With another quick command word and a few seconds of transformation, the man is replaced with an individual wearing more rugged clothes and with a more dashing look.
"Or perhaps we go as adventurers looking for work with the University? I hear they hire adventures to help with their archaeological work."
Olen returns his cloths and his skin to his normal attire.
"Either way, having a cover story could help us get into the University without being turned away. Then we just need to find the Professor and try to get the information from him."
"Ooooh let's do both! You're a former student doing research on... something, and we're your crew of adventurers ready to dive into some dig site! Wouldn't be all that far from the truth. But having you to escort us in would be damn genius."
Kinnik is struck by the strangest feeling. It starts as a nebulous something in the back of his mind, echoing around in his skull for a moment while the others plan. Suddenly, it snaps into focus with startling clarity: an idea.
He jumps forward half a step, nearly bouncing with the thrill of this sensation. Looking around around the room for something he can use, he lands upon a fine golden-threaded rope used to tie back the curtains surrounding Boss's window. He whips the rope free, then loosely wraps it around his own wrists, then once around his neck with a flourish. Then, again in his carnival barker's voice, he repeats in sepulchral tones:
"We've wonders, terrors, bird and beast, From the demon wastes to the sunken east! But mother, child: take this warning: 'Ware the crowchild of the Mourning!"
(His idea is to have the party bring him to the university as a captured and previously unknown species. In reading up on it online, MU is primarily known for its explorers and discoveries of strange peoples and cultures.)
Vasha seems more and more distressed by each proposal, "Masks and more masks...can't we just go with the adventurer story so it's not an outright lie? I may be a thief, but I hate being something I'm not." She tries not to stare too directly at Boss or Shroud.

Kinnik is entirely baffled as to what to do (as am I). He touches a claw to the leather-bound book hidden in his robe...

With a slightly concerned look, Olen responds.
"Are you sure Kinnik? I'm not sure having you as a captive is a good idea."
"Someone might get the wrong idea about you, they might try to take you and put you in a cage for study."
"Maybe we can still have you as a curiosity, but maybe we can try dressing you up as an ambassador of your far away people?"
"That way you should be shown a little respect, perhaps."
