Once all has been said and done, Boss nods his approval. As long as you get the job done, Boss won't question your methods outside of murder. They see you off in the form of their persona, sans the skull in their eye. That tell is only for staff and gang.
To get there, you travel by foot to a skycoach switching station. Typical skycoaches resemble rowboats or small fishing boats but they fly thanks to an eldritch device located where the rudder would be. The device is mostly made of copper; there are cogs and small mechanical pieces moving all the time. Two copper exhaust tubes at the back expel pink-tinted smoke that dissipates in the air fast.
A gnarly gnome with unruly hair receives you with a smile and an upright extended hand. You have to pay upfront. It costs you a couple of silver coins to get the upper wards of Menthis. It is impossible for the skycoach to follow a direct route. The castle-like towers of Sharn block any direct path to any other area of the city. You see other skycoaches going up and down but they are not the only things flying around the towers. Some people move around riding flying disks, called soarsleds, that flit rapidly through the air. You get to also see a kithkin gliding from one tower to another while holding a device that appears to be the wings of a creature. You have also heard that the rich people in the Skyway have access to flying creatures like hippogriffs and giant eagles.
You reach the skycoach switching station in the University District. You walk south for a few minutes, circling more towers and crossing a few bridges to reach Morgrave University. It's about 8 or 9 PM, but there is still a low hum of activity around. It would appear that there are night classes at this school, though it seems many of those standing around is a mixture of obvious students to the even more obvious adventurer. Your fingers think of pinching pursestrings until you notice there are more guards here than you are even used to seeing now in the Downstairs.
(Feel free to ask questions, make checks, etc)

Kinnik (who is not yet bangled and becrowned- he'll do a quick change from his rucksack when the time is right) keeps his eyes and ears open to the interactions of the local people as he walks, hoping to pick up on important names and significant events happening tonight.
From the shadows, Olen picks out, some students milling about, as his targets. He transforms his clothes once more into the fine design you have seen before and then transforms himself into a young human, who could possible be a student himself.
Striding out on his own he approaches the students.
"Hello, excuse me, my name is Tom Dawnfort. I'm going to be studying here at the university next semester. I was wondering if anyone could help we. I need to know what subject Professor Garthen Daela teaches."
In his Tom disguise, Shroud is putting out a somewhat nervous vibe. What you might expect of someone a little overwhelmed by the university.
While Shroud has the students distracted, Kinnik approaches stealthily, keeping a weather eye out for any guards who may be watching. His plan is to lift any identifying paraphernalia (badges, pins, etc) that would help the Crew to blend in with the student body in case they need to fall back on a Plan C.

There is only one entrance located in MU, and it's there on the southern part of the map. The university has a dual swing gate ahead of a large double door, both of which are currently open. You imagine there are windows around this tower, but of course, that would involve climbing...
The group of students Tom approaches seem to be at the school to learn as opposed to there to learn about how to obtain fame, fortune, and/or glory. Isn't that a shame?
They listen to his plight. One of the humans gives him a small smile, "Prof. Daela? He seems nice, but he'll run you ragged. If your practicum can be on any practical application, I think you'll want Professor Vehnoi instead... What's your major?"
The kenku spies a wallet being tucked into a pouch. In this wallet, a student ID might be found! In his haste to seal plan C into place, Kinnik seems to bump into the mark and not in a way that would help him get away. Now he has a half-elf starring him down with a hauty expression, "What do you think you're doing!"

Kinnik throws up his hands in exuberant welcome. He says in a deep baritone, "Hail to your lordship!" Kinnik then sketches a deep bow and continues in a high tenor,
"I rather do beseech you pardon me, Who, earnest in the service of my God, Neglect the visitation of my friends. But, leaving this, what is your grace's pleasure?"
Tom's eyes go wide for a split second, at Kinnik's sudden appearance.
Regaining his composure and thinking fast on his feet Tom loudly interjects,
"Mr Feather Stone! What are you doing here! You know you aren't allowed out without supervision!"
Turning to the students, Tom apologises,
"I'm very sorry, he is a curiosity my father collected from his last endeavour to Xen'Drik. He must have snuck on to our sky carriage before we left home."
Tom pushes past the students and grabs Kinnik's feathered hand and begins to pull him away.
"I am so very sorry, I hope he hasn't upset any of you."
Looking down at Kinnik,
"Come along Mr Feather Stone, we must get you back before father notices you are missing."
Tom and 'Mr Feather Stone' attempt to walk away, breaking line of sight down an ally or the like, to hide and return to the others.
Kinnik allows himself to be drawn roughly and squawking past the students. His free arm briefly clutches at the half elf as he spins past and he says (in the voice of an old woman)
"When others are more wicked; not being the worst Stands in some rank of praise, eh, lords?"
(Gotta get that wallet. I made a second roll on discord for sleight of hand (a 20); can I use that to make another attempt as I'm shouldered past the half elf? If not: 18)
The half-elf seems satisfied enough with the explanation, and takes care of her wallet.
"You best keep that thing locked and chained," she shakes her head as if talking to a petulant child. "Keep your discoveries under control, especially ones that smell as badly as it does."
As soon as Kinnik touches the half-elf again, she begins to shriek, "Disgusting! Get off of me!! Guards!"
At this point, Kinnik catches a flash of something on the girl's neck. The edge of a dragonmark... At least he has her wallet and she doesn't seem to know despite the care she took.
The guards are approaching!
We are entering a skill challenge. You must complete 3 successes before you hit 2 failures. The DC is set to 14. The price of total failure is a fight (where you can still attempt to run from).
What is a skill challenge?
One at a time, you will post a scene. This scene can involve just about anything as long as it fits the setting. The scene must involve your character taking an action that requires a skill check. This action can be just about anything. Some examples: lying to the guard, hiding, running, or maybe something else! Then you will make a check! As long as the skill you roll within your post seems relevant, I'll allow it.
I will post a follow-up to each scene which will detail how you succeeded/failed or if nothing happens. I will also be rolling in the background for reasons.
Please wait your turn to post a scene until I resolve a scene. You can't use the same skill twice. Use discord to pace yourselves. Good luck!

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kinnik CRAWS at shroud and breaks loose, giddy from the thrill of the lift and nearly blind to the consequences. In a street urchin's voice he shouts, "CHEESE IT, KINNIK!" and sprints away.
Hoping that his changeling friend can hide easily enough, Kinnik spots a rain barrel and downspout and quickly shimmies his way to a higher level above the alley to escape, drawing the guard away from his companions.
A total of five guards arrive on the scene. One of them seems to have the most seniority of them all. "Halt!" she shouts as Kinnik makes a break for it. She grits her teeth as the bird shows off his sick parkour moves. "You two after him."
Two of the guards break off and head toward the kenku. However, the lady guard and her two stoic underlings have eyes on Tom/Shroud.
