She bristled visibly and took one step towards you, almost nose to nose, but did not draw weapons or attack. "If you..were ANY other piece of SHIT..i'd KILL you where you stand."
Yasei continues to cradle Dani’s head in her lap, gently talking to her, trying to bring her back to this plane from wherever her mind has wandered off to.
Riktor looks at her and contemplates something silently. He loks up at the sky. "It's getting dark soon." He says.
He pulls up a long sleeve and reveals a small wristband of what look to be tiny crystal beads. He breaks one off and throws in on the ground, while shouting "Minima Casa!"
A big whoosh of dust fills the area and once subsided, reveals a modest size clay and straw hut. "It will be safe in here. Bring her with us, perhaps she'll come around. We need to plan our attack against this thing which killed my apprentice- and ruined my tower."
Your time planning your next move will count as a long rest while you're in the tiny hut.
"There is no way so few of us could take on such a worthy opponent. We need some sort of army to distract that beast! It could surely take us each out in seconds. Any suggestions where we could get a spare army, hanging around with nothing to do?"
Yasei: "Yes, sort of. l saw the beast disintegrate the boy and the head band, and the magical head band turned into glowing particles of some sort, which floated into the body of the beast."
After some thought and contemplation, Riktor says "So there's a chance he is absorbing these artifacts in order to use them at will..."
"I can attempt to track the creature." Riktor says. "In having used the headband before, my connection to it should be strong enough so that I can scry upon whatever has consumed it."
He sits in a medatative position and closes his eyes for a short while, uttering some incantations. His pupiless eyes suddenly burst open, gleaming white. "I see... snow. I see a cave. I see... masked figures and wooden outposts." He loses concentration on the spell and sweating, says "It has fled to a snowy ravine. Somewhere in the hills to the north of here. There, it waits. It would seem as though it has fashioned a lair from digging and mining the cliffs with it's disciples."
Yasei: "That's very astute of you, Master. I'm sorry we couldn't save your boy. On my honor, I will avenge his death!"
OOC: I agree with @MacLeod0 ... we need to gather up some more of those artifacts before attempting to take on Aerikanathar. Agree? And is Dani still with us, or has she left the game? Should we bring another player into the campaign to help out?
OOC: it seems as though the campaign's coming to a bit of a grinding halt. The fun factor's starting to dwindle away for me, perhaps it's best to give it up. We can epilogue the characters and get amongst a more engaging campaign haha
The armored warrior dragged Cora Perkins through the hard, scorched ground of Hell. All around them, war on the Fourth Layer raged. She knew the end was near.
"Do not struggle, ya?" the woman said, her voice heavily accented, she was not from around here. "By the Will of Bane, soon, your oblivion weel come."
Cora weakly struggled against her grip as she was dragged along her back. One of her eyes was swollen shut, and her jaw was broken. The rest of her body was in pieces. The red-headed woman paladin in pull plate that was dragging her was too strong, the God of the Conqueror, Bane, fueling her strength. Cora was no match. She growled and grunted like a feral wounded animal, trying to grab her grip and kick at the ground, anything to gain leverage against her, but Cora was broken. Inside and out.
So this was it.
"It took me very long time to find you." Misha Praskovia said, "Een your service to the Fourth Layer, Hell's enemy - Bane - has deemed you: guilty. Know that you have been conquered, and I am here to re-unite you with the Spirit of your Father. I send you to heem now, know you will die forgotten, and broken."
Misha let Cora Perkins go, and the rogue fell to the ground. Misha dropped her shield, raised her massive warhammer over her head. Cora tried to get up, couldn't. Her thigh was broken in four pieces, and her vision was blurring fast. She choked on blood filling her lungs. Yet despite the pain, she smiled weakly.
I'm so tired. I am free of Hell. Do it.
Finally. I'm coming Mother. I'm coming Mother.
I'm coming..
Misha brought the warhammer down hard, and finally, brutally, Cora Perkins was no more.
SOMEPLACE ELSE
The spirit of her Mother carried Cora in her arms to a place no one could harm her daughter again. Cora didn't know where she was, but she knew she was dead, and this was no longer Toril. No longer in physical form, a peace began to fill her. Yet, in this place of limbo, the spirit of her Father was here, waiting, too.
There was only one condition to ascend to the Light. One chance at Redemption.
Cora looked around, saw a preview of what she could have. She was surrounded by all of her loved ones, people she knew, people she loved, and people that loved her, they cheered her on, in this place, the emotions she felt of reunification was beyond words mortals could ever understand. Things were no longer the same. She was no longer the same. She was unafraid, and filled with the wisdom and strength of a hundred lifetimes. The pure evil form of her Father beckoned her to come, interrupting what she was experiencing, and she knew from this moment on that she would finally be able to punish him for all the thousands of years of torment she tortured her with for the rest of eternity. The Light was waiting for her. Just one last task.
No longer mortal, she launched at him with divine speed and power - saying the last words she ever would, ever again.
She bristled visibly and took one step towards you, almost nose to nose, but did not draw weapons or attack. "If you..were ANY other piece of SHIT..i'd KILL you where you stand."
Rosli is going to give her a huge hug "Seeeee you care about us!"
OOC: LOL!
Gently, Yasei rebukes you in a language unknown to your ears: "見る?先ほども言いました。愛はすべてに打ち勝つ。それは、その教訓を学ぶために2000年の私の友人があなたを取りました。"

Rosli ears will adjust and she will shoot a side look to Yasei while whispering to Cora "What did she just say?!"
Crispy moans, "Probably some more of her..wisdom. She knows I don't understand her, too, when she speaks in her language."
Yasei continues to cradle Dani’s head in her lap, gently talking to her, trying to bring her back to this plane from wherever her mind has wandered off to.

"Maybe we need more of those artifact things we've been looking for?"
[After filling Riktor in on the artifacts]
"Is there any way you can tell how many it already posesses? What happened to the headband of focus?"

Yasei ticks off the list of artifacts they've been looking for:
1. “Ophelia’s Scent”
2. “The Spider Sting Dagger” (she points to Cora, who is currently wielding this artifact)
3. “The Face of Buldok” (we've got this one as well, she notes)
4. “Helga’s Slippers”
5. “Decanter of Endless Thirst”
6. “Rolog’s Band of Power” (this is what Aerik currently is wearing, up the the tower!)
7. “The Dream Pendant”
8. “The Onyx Eye of Tul’dok”
9. “Malzahar’s Lens”
10. “The Undertaker’s Tool”

“Is it wearing the headband?” He asks.
