Yasei just gives a blank faced stare back to the fuzzy-bugbear. Internally thinking ‘promotion?! Ha. This impertinent mudblood doesn’t know who he’s addressing...’
The orc man slowly rises up from his position, hovering over the large avian’s corpse, rusty piece of metal now wetted with a substantial amount of blood and feathers.
Despite his slightly longer then polite amount of time brooding over the corpse of the bird, he’s all smiles and rippling muscles as he approaches the bug bear, lowering his impromptu weapon to the ground in a show of deferment to man in charge.
“I’d about take anything over cranking machinery day in and day out, get enouff of that at night.” The orc man jokes, waggling his eye brows suggestively to the large goblinoid. “Lead the way boss-man”
"If you come work under me, I'll make your life in this place less.... well, less shit!" He says. "I have a special task coming up and well, I reckon' you'd all be perfect for it..." His voice trails off slightly.
"Drop those bars and whatnot. If you decide to come along, I'll give you real lodgings for the night and you can come, be my underlings! Hahaha!" He laughs a belly laugh before turning and motioning you to follow.
Crispy drops her steel bars and dusts off her hands. This whole world was new to her, but for now, she was at a disadvantage, and decided to play along.
Danica leaned close to Crispy and whispered to her "Only long enough to figure out what's going on. The moment he tries something or we can escape, he dies."
Crispy did her best to hide a smile as Danica leaned in. She was partially successful. "I'm ok with that. You guys seem to know this place way better than me."
You follow this large creature through tunnels and tunnels of rock and metal. Near the end, primarily metal surrounds you. Steam bursts out from vents and you hear liquid swooshing through pipes. Other bugbears and orcs are seen patrolling around and a few other rooms like the one you were in with people turning cranks.
You step out through a hatch into a large open space- similar to a hangar with two oversized iron doors which look to be operated by leverage and cogs themselves. The outside light in pleasantly welcomed as the sun is all but set, and the three moons are on the rise. Believers, Bugbears and Orcs- peppered with a few other races presumed workers go about their business in this open area. The outside air is cold as your feet crunch onto dried dirt.
A large, looming rock outcrop, all joined into a single monolith with small passage ways cracked all throughout it shadows out the light of the red moon, casting a greenish hue shadow over the Furnace. "You'll be staying in The Rock." The large figure grunts as he walks you across an open area, nodding to passing by bugbears and orcs who stare you down as you follow him. To the East, you see the barracks- a small village in the town itself made from straw huts and huts made from some of the finer steel. To the south, a large hill feeds down into the slums of the city where the bulk of the population dwells in shanty rusty metal huts and tents. At the very base, you can just make out the stop for The Dune. (Map Incoming)
He walks you into a small, natural hallway which has numerous caverns opened up along the way. Wooden doors close only for privacy. He leads you to a larger cavern which contains straw pallets for sleeping and a seperate room for a toilet, crudely carved out from the natural rock. "I guess you're aware there's not much point in tryin' to escape the city." he says. "Unless you'd like to die alone in the seas of sand. I'll be back in the mornin' with your first orders." He turns to leave. "The names Barry."
(Once he says this you recall his reputation as 'Barry the Lasher'- Leader of the enforcers and manager of the believers.) 20... As Yasei walks past into the room, Barry coughs "Ahem." and holds out his hand, motioning for her to hand over the crank.
EOTHIA FUN FACTS: Three moons occupy the Eothian sky. Red,Blue and Yellow moons shine together, emitting a white light predominantly over the land. If you hide in the shadow away from one of these moons, or if the clouds cover one, the hue of the ambient light changes depending on which colour moon is removed. Look up the colour wheel theory to get a better idea! ;) What could these moons mean or represent? Some say certain coloured moons make certain races of people feel empowered...
Yasei pulls out the improvised club, spins it in the air a couple times, and it expertly lands back in her hand, handle facing outwards. She hands it over to Barry, slightly bowing when doing so.
She then walks into the cavern, and selects a bed furthest away from the restroom, but also which appears to be in the nicest condition. Gathering up all the loose straw, she fluffs up the bed and sits down.
And..what was his name? Harry? Why was he being nice? As they walked he looked up into the sky and saw the moons, and was filled with a sense of wonder..and worry. She knew she was not from this place, or perhaps this planet..as her reaction to seeing the moons was not typical. If she was from this world the moons would not impress her for the first time today.
She found a pallet and sat down. She was dirty and sweaty. He head hurt a bit but not like before. She looked around and casually studied the others. They must be special too. The redhead could punch and kick. The woman with the funny eyes was clearly royalty of some sort and could also fight. The hulking halforc knew his way around.
What would you contribute, Cora 2146? You dont even know anything about yourself.
She looked at her wrist again and tried to figure out the meaning.
Danica smirked at the accommodations. "Nice place. Very Slaves of the Nine." She said, referencing an old adventure tale. Taking a pallet of her own she sat cross-legged on it, closed her eyes and began to chant softly.
"The only true law is the law that protects the innocent.
Cora watched Danica chant. Well, watched and listened. She seemed to be some kind of..holy warrior, a pugilist of some kind. Maybe she was also in the military. Was I in the military..? She didn't have anything to chant, so she just watched, and listened.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The full blooded orc (meaner, uglier, bigger then halforcs) picks the cot closest to the entrance of the hallway and spreads himself to cover the most amount of area possible. It may be a protective instinct to shield you three, it may be simple man spreading, he gives no indication of his intents either way

He turns slightly away from the group, and the more observant of you may notice that his robes seem to be ruffling in a weird way, especially as he’s not physically moving his body.
A rich humming sound echos around the cavernous room, deep and melodic in a way that the orc man’s previously gravely and intimidating voice gave no previous indications of being able to reproduce. It’s a slow tune, a possible lullaby that nobody in the group would have recognized.
Danica looks unconvinced at the idea of a handsome Bugbear, but never the less asks "What do you have in mind?"
"HAH!" Cora laughs, puffing up a bit. "I'm about as scrawny as you are handsome." She nods in Danica's direction. "And what she said."
Yasei just gives a blank faced stare back to the fuzzy-bugbear. Internally thinking ‘promotion?! Ha. This impertinent mudblood doesn’t know who he’s addressing...’
Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?

Yasei rapidly (but quietly) scoots up behind the incredible-shrinking-man and follows him.

"So what, we work for the bugbear now?" Cora inquired inquisitively.
"If you come work under me, I'll make your life in this place less.... well, less shit!" He says. "I have a special task coming up and well, I reckon' you'd all be perfect for it..." His voice trails off slightly.

In the commotion, Yasei acts like she drops her expedient club, but instead manages to shove it into the folds of her kimono.

Feel free to RP until I get the map of City of Rust up, or even RP any actions you have while walking into The Rock

Burn away those who would would conquer the weak.
Burn away those who would steal from the needy.

The Green shall come again."
