Despite the pain from his own fall there is an unmistakable sound of snickering from the prone sorcerer as Ladrian swears loudly after his fall. "Oh for a city tavern and a crowd of easy marks eh Ladrian, nevermind, I'm thinking that we've seen the worst of it for today."

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
"Oh I know I'm tempting fate, but we have survived the Crevasse of Doom, what can stop us now, unless Harshnag slips and crushes us all..." the sorcerer trails off looking up at the huge giant on the slope above them inquisitively, trying to determine whether or not he looks like he is about to plummet down on them. "Seriously though Ladrian are you ok, that did look painful, one of your new spells maybe?"
Harshnag has no wish to free climb the 60' vertical drop. Therefore, after lowering each of the five adventurers and watching the majority of them tumble and clatter down to the mountain path, hesteps across the gap and returns to the original climbing route with the pitons. Taking advantage of the milder slope, the frost giant cautiously makes his way down to the path where he then breaks into a full sprint and leaps the crevice, barely clearing the seemingly bottomless chasm.
As he looks over those who are nursing fresh bumps and bruises, Harshnag is unable to conceal the grin on his face.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on Vigan as the goliath begins to take his first steps down the slope to rejoin the group...
Grabbing the blanket left by someone at the top, the goliath uses it as a makeshift sledge. Sitting on one end and holding the corners of the other, he slips and slides to the bottom with the greatest of ease. He stands and faces the others. "Haven't done that in many years...", he says with a grin.
I take back my blanket from Vigan, holding it out at arm's length. "Thanks for bring it down," I say dryly. It won't be keeping me warm for a while, I suspect.
Twenty-four hours later, Harshnag and the five adventurers reach their long-sought destination.
A 40-foot-wide, naturally formed stone causeway leads to the entrance of the Eye of the All-Father. Sheer cliffs plunge hundreds of feet on both sides of the route. The causeway is covered with a foot of snow, which clearly show fresh tracks heading toward the mountainside.
The causeway ends before a stone dome carved from the mountainside. Six 30-foot-tall stone pillars support the dome, which is in no danger of collapse, even if the pillars were to be toppled. Each pillar is carved with a wraparound bas-relief. From north to south, the pillars depict the following scenes:
A hill giant lifting a rock above its head
A frost giant chopping down a great pine
A cloud giant flying among birds in the sky
A flying storm giant hurling lightning bolts at a ship
A stone giant climbing a mountain
A fire giant with chained dwarf prisoners in a cavern
At the back of the dome, a 40-foot-wide, 40-foot-high hallway heads into the mountain. Wind has blown the snow far into the hallway. The snow thins out and disappears after about 100 feet. The tracks in the snow continue east into the dungeon complex.
Vigan and Carrow take a few minutes to study the tracks that lead into the Eye. They're reasonably certain that the tracks were created by eight humans.
As Rixton looks at the bas-relief on the pillars, he comes to the conclusion that the carvings are more artistic in nature, rather than historical.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Carrow
Examining the tracks he recalls his time tracking humans in the far north. "We should proceed with caution" he says to Vigan in a low voice. Motioning to the others he signals the group has company.
Slowly rising he draws his bow and moves slowly ahead of the group vigilant no to any threat that may present itself.
The five adventurers walk past the six pillars and enter the massive hallway that leads deep into the mountain. The ceiling is 40' above the floor and all surfaces are covered with a layer of frost. The corridor is completely dark; only the grey light of day provides any illumination. On high alert, the adventurers easily notice gaps in the ceiling, suggesting the presence of two hanging blocks of stone. Each block is a massive slab of granite that is somehow suspended from above. (These slabs hang directly over the areas outlined in red on the map).
The human footprints can still be seen in the snow which has blown far into the tunnel. Additionally, grunting noises can be heard; they seem to be coming from somewhere farther down this enormous corridor.
"Have you been here before, Harshnag?" I say as I stare at the problem before us. I pull out my dirty, frozen blanket and consider throwing it under the trap.
Ladrian
Watching the three friends reaching the slope more or less intact he tries to follow them without tripping.

Ladrian tumbles all the way down, surpassing even Andor and Rixton, he moans in pain reaching for his back "Damn it" he curses.

I examine the carvings on the pillars with great interest, trying to recall anything I can about the Eye of the All-Father and the giants' alliances.

Carrow
"Imepressive, most impressive" looking at the pillars and the carvings of each the Ranger digs deep and pushes through the snow drifts.
Andor
"Look at the size of that thing!" Andor seems taken aback by the scale of the architecture.

The ranger takes a step back and produces an iron spike from his pack. "I could throw this in" he announces tossing it between his hands.
