"I can't blame the lad. " the cleric replies " But this bullies doesn't seem to repent. More frightened than repented. As soon as they are away from our hammers and axes and without the pain of their wounds... they could probably go back to their evil ways. If that's so... know that I will find you, and then it will be Moradin himself who judge you." he says to their prisioners.
The four dwarves usher the three Redbrands out of the forest, along the edge of Qelline's farm — the halfings are nowhere to be seen — and west on the road toward the Townmaster's Hall. The sun is high in the sky, creating very dark, but small shadows. As they are entering the building, the last going in — let's say it's Karl — turns to close the door and sees Harbin and Alisa Wester exit the house across the street. They turn down the road in front of the Hall, but pass by without stopping. They appear to be in a hurry and don't notice the dwarf watching them.
Cyrine, a female half-elf with wavy, blonde hair, jumps to her feet behind her little desk as the seven individuals enter the Townmaster's Hall. She gasps, placing a hand to her lips. "Oh dear," she whispers in her girlish voice.
Vondal puts a hand on his chest, and shoots Cyrine a brief but disapproving and half-hearted glare. "You're more a skittish one then first thought, youngling."He cracks a wiry grin, then grim faced adds, "The townmaster. Where is he? And where is Sildar? We would have words with them about our 'friends' here, as well as their associates that's been causing trouble, and apparently kidnapping folk. I'm sure you hear or saw the procession earlier?"All this he ask unless Karl points out Harbin and his wife.
"'ang on minute young fella"Karl says to Vondal "what's 'im and his missu upto ya reckon"pointing out Harbin and Alisa Wester exit the house across the street "and why ain't they comin' 'ere then?" he finishes with.

Vondal's expression had been growing increasingly more stormy since hearing the news as pieces began to fall in place. "Miss Cyrine. We will be back. Let Sildar know if he comes back here. Uncle. Which direction?" He asks, a fire kindling in his eyes. As soon as he has his answer Vondal carefully sets Zander in his own little corner to rest inside on his way back out the door to cut off the Townmaster and wife.

Seeing that proably they should have to go after that people, Aldrom will make sure the three Redbrands are secure in jail and follow the other dwarves.
Nif let's the group lead. He will just follow thinking about what they encountered in cave and try and work out where this Glass staff may have disappeared to.
Adrom: The room you're in is a kind of waiting room. It's fairly small with double doors exiting opposite the door you entered through. There is no apparent jail cell where you are. Would you like to ask Cyrine about a cell? Also, the townmaster and his wife are humans.
Nif: Everything Vondal deduced and said to the group seems to make sense. You don't really have any ideas about where Glasstaff might have gone. If only there was someone you could ask.
(@all: For when Aldrom catches up after seeing to the redbrands, assuming we don't need to backtrack for that one.)
"Uncle... Uncle was not wrong earlier. About me. Time away from family holds... my time before..." Vondal grits his teeth and closed his eyes as if relieving a poor memory. When they open next, some of the fire in them is gone. But not enough to keep him from following Karl's direction. "As Uncle said, zzz-hinted at, more or less. I am too kind for own good. Too..."He grimaces. "Human. In some ways, at least. Want keep faith in younger folk. See them do good all the time. Bad too, but they have the spark in them. So, I want to believe in it." Vondal hardens his expression, if only for a few moments.
"Not that us dwarves are much better at times. But at least we own up to mistakes, rare though they may be for us to make, and adhere to responsibilities and duties.... Which is why it is troubling to see and hear townmaster is not in hall, making plans to gather folk together, and straighten out the remaining redbrand problem!" He scowls and punches his hand. "Which is why we go see what is up, and make sure that hard work done already is not undone by a flighty heart." He frowns a little, then gives Karl a sidelong look. "Preferably... non-violently. But, he must be made to step up properly, and own up to mistakes."
"We need to put this lot in a cell, a cold, wet and uncomfortable one if you have one of those... "he adds giving one of them a smack on the back of their heads. "This lot deserves the rope... " he mutters to himself " and quickly if you will " he asks Cyrine " I have the feelings that my friends will need me."
after thinking for a while, Nif turns to the Redbrand prisoners. "This Glasstaff? Where would he have run off too? I am sure you guys would have an idea."
Cyrine looks as if she might weep at Vondal's barrage of questions. (#1409) "I told you this morning: The Townmaster and his wife are missing. I asked you to find them. What procession are you talking about?" When Karl mentions seeing the Townmaster, the half-elf's eyes go wide. But then she stammers at Adrom's demand to lock up the Redbrands. "I ... but I ... Townmaster Wester is not here. He's the only one who can place someone in ... well, Master Hallwinter could, I guess, but ... well, neither of them is here, and —" She seems relieved as Nif turns to the Redbrands.
"This Glasstaff? Where would he have run off too? I am sure you guys would have an idea," asks the dwarf.
One of the Redbrands shrugs a shoulder. "Cragmaw Castle, I 'spect."
Vondal pinches the bridge of his nose. "This does not bode well." He mutters, then aloud says,"As Uncle says. He's fine otherwise. So is missus. Though may be seeing new Townmaster soon. Uncle Karl. You saw where they went, yah? Think you and others can keep guard on these lot until Master Hallwinter shows up? Or would you prefer going after them and dragging them here your self? Either way, we cannot waste more time with idle chatter 'fore we get away. Like Glasstaff." He looks down to Droop. "You fine staying here for bit more. We have other questions, and... we could use your help after current matters are settled."
Adrom just grunts and says.
"You are just too kind to this lot. Give them to the axe I say... that will stop others to follow their steps...."

"Unfortunately Vondal has a kindness streak a mile wide. It's got him into trouble before and probably will again!" Karl comments to Adrom.
