Mopham and Sevrn help get the egg up the stairs while Theo begins his spell. You two set it down before him and after The is done with the spell the egg begins to rise up on its own. Theo then nods at everyone and you all set out in the direction he indicates. Heading Northwest out of the big shrine room, a small tunnel leads down then back up to a torch lit room. There are multiple beds here with a few footlockers against the wall. It looks like whoever was in here left quickly.
Wex will try to ascertain what sort of persons used this room. Guards? Acolytes? While Flynn is presumably tossing the beds and footlockers for gold. :)

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.
Theo, you know that this is where the Kobold guards/workers slept. Wex, it's pretty obvious conclusion to you too with the beds being made for a much smaller humanoid, and the only type like that around were the kobolds.
You guys look at the footlockers and they look safe to open. Upon Opening them, you guys find moldy food scraps, a few rusty daggers. One of them has a small child's doll but its very, very dirty.
There are stairs that continue up to the next room.
Moving on, up the stairs. You come to a room that overlooks a big pit, like the one where you fought the drakes. Wex, with your long range darkvision, you easily see to the back of the cavern. But it seems to be empty, there is a wooden fence with a gate down near the bottom of some stairs that lead to the cavern. The only exit, other than the way you came in is to the Southeast. The caves are quiet, except for the sounds of water dripping here and there.
"The pit looks empty," he tells the others, quietly. "But there's a gate down at the bottom of the stairs, so they were keeping something in there. Maybe those drakes we just fought? I'd leave well enough alone."

Wex nods at the suggestion, and indicates Flynn should lead, on the ceiling, out the eastern opening. As the party goes, Wex will cast one last long look into the pit, in case he can spot anything they might not want behind them. (As a result, he's not making a Perception check going forward into the next room.)

You continue on into the next room. Wex, grabbing one last look into the lower part, you don't really notice anything jumping out at you, that you haven't already noticed. The next room is rather big, the ceiling is far above you and dark. on the northern end near where you all entered is a drop off, you're unable to see how deep it goes, but you do notice a nasty smell coming from that direction. A set of stairs, lead downward, to the east. To the south looks like it leads to another room.
OOC: Theo, you're unsure about the smell and what is to the north, but you do remember it coming in. You don't know whats to the east. You do know that the south is the way out through a fungus covered room.

Theo follows along, still moving silently and actively looking around with his talented senses while the egg silently floats behind him.
Flynn leads on cautiously checking the floor for traps and forward for anything else.
