Wex, you awake to Mopham gearing up and making ready. He clasps on his last buckle and looks over to youl as you sit up, wipe the sleep from your eyes, yawn.....
"I have to leave, I spoke with Nighthill last night for a bit. They received word from some of the other towns nearby. My...." He pauses for a moment before continuing. "Someone very important to me lives near one of those towns. They should've been alright where they were at, but I have to make sure. I'll try and catch up with you all as soon as I can." He walks over to you Wex and clasps wrists. "You have proven yourself to be a good fighter and ally"
Sevrn, by comparison, slept very well. An early riser, Wex finds Sevrn sharpening his greatsword in the yard with what looks like a cup of hot coffee at his.
Sevrn gives Wex a knowing look, and gestures if he wants to join him on the stone bench, but other continues to sharpen his blade in silence.
Theo wakes up mildly early to get a good jump on the day. He gets dressed and takes some time reading over his book, while he also finalizes a letter. After he incants 3 Prestidigitations:suddenly his stylish yet plain clothes appear perfectly clean, a bit higher-grade in color, and he smells of pleasant perfume.
He smiles to any one in the barracks on his way out and states: "I'll be back for that egg!" He goes to seek out Escobert to send his letter. Once found, Theo will small talk a bit and then hand him the letter with instructions to deliver to Admiral Riddi Von Gillipuddi.
letter:
The letter is to his criminal contact (the name on the letter is an alias). Theo states where he is and that he's acquired an dragon egg - mostly intact and would like to acquire a buyer. The Egg is currently in the town of Greenest and is safe for now. But a transaction should be made quickly. Theo is not sure how long he can stall to stay in this town. Regardless it will be kept here for pick-up and appraisal. Theo's cut can be delivered to him as is convenient.
After, Theo will head to the merchant to see what they can help with.
Wex nods at Mopham. "I'll miss your bulk backing me up, big man. Thanks for trusting me. I'd come with you, but I think my path goes somewhere else."
----- Heading out for breakfast, Wex crosses the yard and detours to sit with Sevrn. He sits in silence for a minute, watching the keep come to life.
"I've decided to come with you to Elturel. But I'm quit of your oath, Fingers. I fulfilled it, and besides, I've another pact to abide by now." With that, he stretches out his hand and a great gleaming sword to match the size of Sevrn's appears with a quiet thrumming noise. Wex laughs, softly. "If Artura could see me now. But this sword is a bit much, and I'm not one to compare sizes with another man." The sword disappears with a soft 'pop.'
"I've nowhere to go and nothing to do, stopping a cult of dragon worshippers seems a fine task in the meanwhile."

Mopham follows Wex out and nods at Sevrn. "I'm leaving, have someone important to check on to the east. I will try and catch up with you when I can. Stay safe my friend." He sees Flynn head out of the keep and goes to him for goodbyes. "Flynn, watch after Sevrn and the others. I have to head out on my own for a bit. When I can, I will get back to you guys." He gives Flynn a pat on the back, nearly knocking him over, and then walks out of the keep.
Sevrn gives Mopham a nod. He knows Mopham is not one for words or warm gestures, but the strength of their kinship runs deep and he knows they'll see eachother again soon enough.
Sevrn returns to his conversion with Wex, while keeping his gaze on Mopham and Flynn.
"More than fulfilled." Then, taking a deep sigh... "I know some things about oaths... don't let your's consume you. Good and evil are two sides of the same coin, and often relative - but I can sense your patron's hold on you and its a darker path you're treading."
Finally, the half- elf locks eyes with Wex and there is a burning severity in his look. "Don't let yourself become the greater evil." Suddenly, a smile breaks on the paladin's face and the intensity of that moment is gone, replaced by the friendliest smile and pat on the shoulder. "That sword would look better buried inside a dragon. Let's go make ourselves legends. "
Wex smiles. “Legend would look good on me, I think. Right now though, I need to put some meat on these bones.” Wex will go looking for food. And maybe new clothes.

Once the party has taken their time to run whatever errands they need, Sevrn will convene them in the yard.
"We're heading on to Eltruel to deliver news of the eggs to the monk. You should know that my path leads to the head of the dragon cult, where I intend to end it. Unless there are arguments to the contrary, i suggest we take the main road, and do our best to hide our armor and weapons - and preferably even our numbers. A wagon, if we want to transport the egg might be best. Does anyone need anything else before we head out?"
Looking at Theo: "I assume you're coming with us?"
Escobert walks out from the keep and gives Mopham a wave and nod as he heads out the main gate. The burly dwarf walks over to you all and says, "There's food in the mess hall, take your fill. When you're ready to head out Leosin secured some horses for you all, they're in the stables in town."
Theo-"In what city does this Admiral reside?" Escobert asks, while taking the sealed letter from you. "We can get it to whichever one but it may take a bit the farther out it is, of course." He tucks the letter into his belt before continuing. "As for a merchant, well, his shop was looted heavily. Most of his supplies are gone, and what was left was confiscated for the town. But that doesn't mean we can't help. It just depends on what you need and how much of it! So, what are you looking for?"
(Wex, you over hear the part about the merchant and supplies, sounds like Escobert can help with some fresh clothes.)
Theo smiles at Escobert. "It's all on the address on the envelope. It will get where it needs to go it just needs to be sent out."
For DM:
The letter is my criminal contact feature. It just goes where it needs to go taking as long as you think it should.
Theo looks over his clothes and bags. "I'm sorry about the raid..I assume it was that dirty dragon cult? If you had any fresh clothes that would be great. Any traveling supplies like rations and I wouldn't mind a crossbow. I assume since that crazed elf 'rescued' me he'll demand I pay him back. So I better be properly armed once he forces me to go with him."
"Right, we'll get it sent off here in just a bit. Ah, basic supplies we can help with, and I'll head over to the armor and grab you a crossbow. Now, about the, uuhhmm,, egg. Will you be leaving it here or taking it with? Should we expect a reply from this Admiral and if so do you want us to forward it to Elturel?"
"Ah yes. The Admiral will send a contact here for pick up. I think its best we don't transport it any further to risk any more damage. If you keep it somewhere safe and out of the way I think that will work well. And thank you again for your hospitality here. I hope you can rebuild quickly."
Escobert nods and then motions a man to come over to him. Handing the letter to the young man he says, "Head out right away to Waterdeep, deliver it to the name on the front." The young man nods and with a quick salute he leaves with haste. You all head in towards the mess hall, while Escobert heads off, presumably to get your gear. Inside there is a room in the back of the keep, it has four long tables with benches on either side of them. Sitting down at one of them a young boy brings water, bread, and a bowl of eggs and oatmeal, for each of you.
Sevrn picks up some additional rations and will have exchanged his blood-stained commoners clothes for a clean set of travelers clothes. The Cultist robes and mask he'll have washed and stored in his travel pack in a hidden compartment.
Wex will trade his dirty mercenary outfit for some regular traveling clothes, new boots, and a clean cloak. He offers Theo his heavy crossbow, if he wants it. "I don't need it any more," he smiles cryptically. He will ask for ten arrows from the armory, which he will mix with the crossbow bolts he already has in his one quiver.
"Fingers," he asks over breakfast. "Are you sure it's wise to travel without our armor on? It sounds like we won't be needing a cart, did I hear the eggs is staying here, Theo? I'd rather be prepared for anything, if we're traveling fast on horseback."

"We are all wearing our armor. The cloth padding underneath, and travelers clothes and padded cloaks above with some artistry from Flynn will hide it. It's an old soldier's trick Flynn's improved on in our years together" Sevrn says, motioning to the bard.
"We'll pass for farm hands displaced from the raid." Then looking at Theo in his perfumed outfit (betraying a smile)... "You are maybe merchant we met on the way."
