Below you'll find my notes on the loot found and gathered by the party during this episode. These records exclude mundane items/weapons you might have collected along the way. Please note that this is also your last chance to divide/share/bargain/request/trade the spoils of war, if so desired.
SPOILS OF WAR (EPISODE 4)
The total reward in gold was 175gp and about half of it has been given to Madame Freona for her losses. That means that the party would be splitting up 90gp among six members (Graxx has other priorities). Each character has then earned 15gp as payment from Buhrell. From his gains, Utar donates an additional 10gp to the the Kettle's hostess, which leaves him with a an inflow for this episode of 5gp. The bag of betting earnings that Halda the white dragonborn was trying to take with her remains on the floor of the Tea Kettle, undisturbed. Graxx was the only one that really noticed it and has chosen to leave it behind. It can be assumed that Madame Freona would eventually keep it. In more detail:
Please let me know if you find a mistake or omission in the above.
(OOC @Grx:: By the way, for that last investigation check you rolled, the only thing of interest you'd find would be the undisturbed bag with the betting proceeds. Feel free to address that in your potentially upcoming conclusion post).
Getting a (partial) conclusion for your characters:
If it strikes your fancy, I'll ask that each of you post at least one more time detailing what your characters do after/as you leave the Tea Kettle -- a conclusion of sorts. Feel free to keep the dialog going for a bit too if you'd like. For example, is your character going to find a new in for the night, finding another spot in Phlan or the Moonsea region, getting a bath, inquiring about the Labor Guilds, going to hunt Welcomers, riding into the sunset, etc? Make it interesting and you might just start the next episode with extra information.
This is also the time to let me know if you are going out shopping for any items. Any mundane items you have can be sold for 50% value (rounded down) and purchased for the price listed in the PHB. If you want to a more specific task, just reach out. Make your decision part of your concluding post and we can then continue separately on 1-on-1s if applicable.
Once we get a concluding post for each character or we stop receiving posts, I'll officially close the thread.
Utar returns the door key to Madame Freola as she goes about her circuit of The Tea Kettle and adds 10 gold to her tray mumblimg, "To cover some lost revenue, Madame. Should there be any difficulty explaining tonight's happenings, I would gladly help."
Gathering up his things, he heads for the door, turning back before heading out, "There are usually a number of empty cots at the Torm's temple if any of you find yourself in need." He then strides out into the cool night air and heads for the temple himself.
Drazzim, being handed such money, looks to the devastation around them. He takes half of the money, placing it for Madame Frelona. "I'm sorry the fight got brought so close to yer family, ma'am." He says, then looks to Utar. "Where're you goin' Tormite?" He says, following after the others, grabbing his pack on the way out.
OOC: Graxx does not take the betting proceeds that he found and he does not take his share of the coin as he is not concerned with material items at the moment.
Graxx leaves the Tea Kettle and Phlan all together. He will make his way into the nearest forest where he will meditate and think about his teachings of the past. His Elders of the Sky Pony tribe had instilled the teachings of Tempus in him. Being away from his Tribe for so long has made him forgetful and not as close to Tempus as he once was. If someone were to pass by the forest they may hear cries of, "TEMPUS!" as Graxx reaches out to Tempus trying to get back to his roots. This cries are frantic as some may say, something a Zealot would sound like.
Neya goes to the market and purchases a grappling hook (2gp), 10 sheets of parchment (1gp), and a handful of sage (1cp). She then goes to Quivering Forest to camp for the night. Perhaps being among shadows of the trees would allow her to expand her understanding of her training.
She is also intrigued by the dragon cult of which Buhrell spoke that was supposedly in the area and look for any sign of the group.
Halting by the door, Utar lets the dwarf catch him up.
"I thought I might head back to the temple," Utar nods once in its general direction, "Get my head down and find out a little more about the Labour Guilds come tomorrow. Maybe take myself around their haunts, see what rumours come my way."
Looking up at the wrought iron kettle swinging from its bracket on the outside of the building, Utar ponders a minute then returns his attention to Drazzim. "That was a good thing you did for Freola and her daughters. Earned you a few ales from me at least, where are you going to post up in town until The Kettle is boiling again, dwarf?"
Andmarir steps out of the tavern and leans against the outside wall, just to the side. The city is a strange place and himself thinking itbe a great place to get to know, he decides it's to dangerous for him.
Quivering forest is not that far away, perhaps it's what he needs to take the city stink away. So, after watching the others leave, he starts to head out. Marfaen can come if he likes but he has made his mind up.
Once out there, he will take time to recuperate, heal. Once again he will get in touch with the forest and perhaps look into this blue dragon, or just the people that follow it.
Alright folks. I don’t think we are getting any more character conclusion posts for this game so I am going to go ahead and call it scene on this story of ours.
