Without waiting for the others to say if they thought it was a good idea or not Nelburn joins Flint in his enthusiasm and enacts a levitation enchantment on him and starts to float him upwards slowly towards the outcrop. "Just shout if ye want me to stop rising you up laddy!"
Flint would hold his grappling hook and rope tightly in his hands as he begins to ascend upwards. "Well this is much more pleasant than the last time I was levitated" Flint would say with a grin.
While the Nel and Flint are doing their thing, Karnic will gather up his suff and with the Lantern of Revealing in his hand walk around the cave to see if there is anything they missed. (Perception: 5)
(OOC: Too bad I can't use Karnic's passive perception of 14 in place of that roll.)
OOC: Ok thanks. I'm trying a new thing where I'll ask for a roll to see if your character notices particular things they might because of class/background.
As Flint moves up the cavern 60ft but then stops at the spells limit. He can see a place to climb but the abyss is dark above him and hard to see very much beyond his limited vision without a light source.
Perception and then strength if you'd like to climb onto the outcrop in front of you!
OOC: does levitate have a limit? I presumed once a concentration spell was cast it can keep functioning outside the range? If Nel is too far to move flint up he can pull himself no?
OoC: last line of second paragraph.. if the target is other than yourself it must remain in range. Which would be 60' in this case not 20.the target can be moved up to 20' per round.
(Flint has his night vision goggles on if that changes anything)
When Flint stops moving, he will tie one one end of the rope around his waist before swinging and throwing the other end of the rope with the grappling hook up into the darkness, hoping to hook on to a ledge of some kind.

OOC: I was treating it as a rounds distance but yeah techically it's 60ft range of the spell but it says 'target moves 20ft' Flint can rise yes but Nel has to travel too. .E.g. the cavern/hole is greater than 20 or 60ft up! I would say the caster can move more but the creature/item has that limit.
Once the grappling hook and rope are secure Tobias stows his shield and weapon. He turns to the casters. "Can any of you provide me with some magical light? It seems a little dark up there...perhaps place it on my shield?" Once he has the light, the paladin begins to climb up to the next outcropping.
There's water coming from the pool. It's spilling over the edges and lapping against your feet. It's flowing out as if something turn on a source from within the pool itself.

Karnic will point out the rising water to those around him, "Hey, if we wait long enough we can just swim up to that ledge instead of climb." He says in more sarcastic than serious tone.
