(Unfortunately, these are only town guards and not actual military, so no.)
(OOC: Darn. Worth a try I suppose, lol).
Lae sighs, "Ahh.. untrained and unseasoned guards have no respect for those who have actually seen battle. Alright Zander, let's rough it again.. one more night won't kill me... I hope."
Hey how abput this we flip a coin if i win we go , with no hard fellings and if you win we stay outside and i will give you 10 gold for the trouble. Heads i win tails you lose. (Persuasion 24 nat 20 )
I will say that is usually how i am it is the dark power i draw on that causes this. So i try not to use it otherwise my darker side takes charge and i will do some dark crap in this state.
You make your way between the guards, who relax a bit at the sign that you are not making trouble.
"Everything's closed up for the night. I suggest you go to the Blue Water Inn. They might still be open and able to get you rooms."
The guard gives you directions, which you are able to follow with no issues. As you leave the area, you hear the creak of the gates being closed and the rattle of the heavy chains being placed back around.
Gray smoke issues from the chimney of a large, two-story building with a stone foundation and sagging tile roof, upon which several ravens have perched. A painted wooden sign hanging above the entrance depicts a blue watefall.
You walk into the inn and sit at a table. The (human) innkeeper himself is serving tables tonight in the rather crowded common room. He walks up to your table.
"You're new 'round here. What'll it be? If you're staying the night, soup and bread are included with the price of your bed. We got wolf steak for 5 silver, and to drink, we have a pint of Purple Grapemash No. 3 wine for 3 copper, or a pint of the Red Dragon Crush wine for 1 silver."
Zander shrugs.
-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
"We said go. Go now or you'll not be getting in in the morning either!"
I don't want to test that, Lae. Looks like we're camping outside tonight.

(OOC: Would by soldier background help at all in this scenario?)

Hope is right.

There is a slight pause. "I suppose that sounds fair."
(Heads)
You hear a bit of grumbling, as well as locks clicking and the chains rattling as they are removed.
The iron gates open and you see the two guards weapons pointed at you, yet with a path between them.
Zander leans in toward Necros and whispers "That was beautiful. I'm trying not to laugh at them, but good job."

Yes that did work out but next time let me talk before you guys talk yourselfs into a noose.
“Ha... alright Necros.. I didn’t realize you were so good with people...”
Me either, you usually just say, "Blah blah, burn your soul out through your eyes!" So we have been kind of... not letting you talk.

“Case and point.”

“Shall we head to this Blue Water Inn then? A hot meal and a bed sound divine to me.”
Let's do it. I think we should rest our feet as well.

I'll take one of each, please! That's 5, 6 silver, 3 copper, here you go!
(Removing the money from my sheet, for clarity Zander wants the Steak and both drinks.)
