You hear him whistle and see another figure move out of the mist not far behind him, as the form of the man in front of you begins to change. His legs and arms begin to lengthen, as does his face. Hair sprouts all over as his mouth opens to reveal sharp teeth. What you see before you when the shift is complete appears to be some sort of cross between a man and a wolf. Upon closer look, the figure behind him is the same.
You hear behind you the flap of wings and, looking, see a raven perched on a tree not far away, apparently watching.
You watch as Necros (23 initiative) touches his thumbs together and a cone of sheet fire erupts from his fingertips. The creatures manage to dodge out of the way a bit and only get hit by part of the blast.
The first creature recovers and rushes at Necros, growling angrily. You watch in horror as he bites into Necros' shoulder (8dmg). (I am sorry guys...I really texted bfly that it is fight time.) He appears to attempt to shake something off, but seems unable to do so. The creature continues his attack with his claw, but manages to miss.
Lae rushes over and attempts to aid Necros. He throws his hands up at the wolfman and yells, "Foul beat feel my wrath!" as his hands begin to glow a sickly green color.
The first arrow flies wide, impacting a nearby tree as you were attempting to be careful not to hit Necros. With the second arrow, you are able to zero in a bit better and it hits the creature, but seems to have no effect.
The crossbow bolt lodges in the creature's throat, but it still does not seem affected.
The second creature moves up and attacks Zander, also biting his shoulder (21 to hit, 9 damage and I need you to roll a CON save). It also claws across Zander's back (20 to hit, 7 damage). (My dice seem to hate y'all this combat.)
In an attempt to get the creature off of him, Necros puts his hand out and you can barely see some sickly green energy hit the creature. (4 damage)
(Lae is up, Zander on deck and still needs a CON save roll, then Zennas.)
My arrows do nothing! Wait...Zander reaches in his pack and pulls out a torch and lights it, then walks back toward the werewolves holding it in front of him.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
Zander, a weird feeling begins to pulse through your body (not poison) and you have a brief desire for raw meat, but you manage to shake it off.
Lae, seemingly in answer to your words, you hear a flap of wings as the raven perched on the tree flies off again, headed east. Your attack lands this time, injuring the creature further.
(I talked to DebatableLogic, this is what he wants to do):
Zennas notices his Zander trying to keep the wolves back with fire. "Time for a Smoothhands combo, brother!" He pulls a flask of oil from his pack and rushes up to the wolf that was attacking Necros. (Will Cunning Action dash if need be) He splashes the oil all over the wolf-man. (Costs 1 action, no attack roll needed as per the item description) Then if he didn't need to dash to get there he uses Disengage as a bonus action, if he used it for dash already he will stay in melee.
"If the target takes any fire damage before the oil dries (after 1 minute), the target takes an additional 5 fire damage from the burning oil."
(I cannot change his inventory, if you could remove one of his oil flasks, please.)
(Fml...I had this post almost finished then hit a wrong button. I love our idea, and thank you for mediating.)
The second creature moves to attack Zennas by biting his shoulder (14 to hit, tied AC means a hit, so I need Zennas to roll a CON save.). It attempts to follow up the bite with a claw attack, but swings wide.
In an attempt to get the second creature off of Zennas, you watch as Necros casts sickly green energy at the creature (9 damage) and the creature straightens up a bit.
The first creature moves to attack Necros with its bite, doing a bit of damage, and also following up with a claw attack (nat 20 to hit for double damage).
(I already took the damage off of both Zennas and Necros' character sheets when I had the first post typed, or more damage amounts would be listed here, but neither is down.)
