Ok, I'll have my character finalized tonight. However, looking at the party build, we have more than enough artillery, mild armor, but not enough support.
I can roll a thief or cleric equally well. Does anyone have a preference? We can probably make do without some deft hands for a while, but staying alive is always important.

Hmm a cleric could be a great asset. But please don't make her devoted to the God of Fire. Last cleric of this deity had a very particular way to cure wounds.. ;)
Argent how did you include the image from the DnD site? I've tried as a capture and can't. Neither as an image or an attached document..
Only thing I come up is to post it as an image in one website and then make the call from here..
That's exactly what I did - I use Greenshot for my screencaps and one of its built in options is to upload to Imgur - then I used that url for the image
and Barlow IMHO play whatever you want to - don't force yourself to play a healer just because we don't have one yet :) we'll just have to learn to survive - haha

Well I do love fire....
However, I was thinking of leaning toward either War or Healing. We have melee, but really only 1 "tank" since I'm not familiar with Monks enough to know how their armor stacks up.

I figure a little more metal on the line would help everyone. I could definitely make a wicked battle cleric on the line, but healing has such great potential.

That makes two of us - but my AC is 17 without armor on :P
Given I can't play the Aarakocra ranger, I'll play a druidic character. Can I use the half-elf variants from SCAG? I'f not, I'll play a regular one, but if I can, I'll take the Fleet of Foot trait.
(I was hoping to fluff the aarakocra as a winged dragonborn, if that changes your mind)

"Rhogash Goldclaw doesn't remember his family. They were slaughtered by members of the Cult of Kurok. At least, that's what his mentors in the temple of {insert appropriate deity here, don't know which pantheon(s) are available} told him. All his life, he has been told that dragons bring nothing but death and destruction with them. Why the elders took him in as a child, he doesn't know. All that he knows is that the world would be better off if the dragons were wiped out. On his 15th birthday, he left the temple filled with righteous fury to do exactly that. He hasn't looked back since."

Sure, just make sure to notify me of what you're using.

I'd say lower collectively 2 points, then it'd be more balanced in my opinion.

Just play what you wish to, you'll survive one way or another. And I am grateful for the roll verification. Honesty is a virtue

If you're looking for a tank cleric, the Forge domain from UA gives you access to heavy armor as does the life domain.

Here's my Extended Signature!
Should we just use the standard starting equipment for our class? Here's the info for Rhogash Goldclaw.
