Klarth helps Rickard to his feet, his hands surprisingly gentle for one so large. He nods in agreement with Gal and Zen and says gruffly, "Show us." He gestures with his hands for Rickard to lead the way, hoping the small one will be able to track the goblins from Rickard's workshop. He ran his fingers lightly over the symbol at his belt and said a silent prayer for the safety of little Bess.
(Rickard, still disoriented, is distracted by the barrage of questions from the party. When it becomes clear that the party is willing to help, a smile appears for the first time.)
"Thank you! Bless you all!"
(The grateful Blacksmith goes around thanking the adventurers, alternately hugging and enthusiastically shaking the hands of the brave party who has agreed to help him. He thinks for a moment before speaking.)
"I don't really know how long ago it was, probably not long, but I don't know how long I was unconscious. As far as where they could have taken her... I haven't got a clue. I mean, I didn't even know there were goblins in these parts. I'm pretty sure there's a dead goblin in my workshop, maybe we can figure out where they went if we go back there?"
(He looks at you all expectantly. Willfred chimes in.)
"Nothing like this has happened around here for a long time. Last I can remember was maybe, 20, 25 years ago? Even then, I think it was more of Goblins attacking travelers up the road, not kidnapping little girls. There hasn't been any Goblin sightings around here since, that I can recall."
DM's note: If you'd like to do anything before heading to Rickard's shop go ahead and RP, otherwise I'll just assume you all follow him there.
Klarth gathers his things, repacking his medical supplies quickly but efficiently. He straightens, waiting for Rickard to lead the way back to his workshop.
(The party follows Rickard to his workshop on the North edge of town. The signs of a struggle are everywhere: Broken pots litter the floor, splintered chairs and tables, etc. A goblin lays dead on the floor, a poker thus his chest. The layout of his workshop is roughly as shown:
"Well, here it is. I haven't really had a chance to look things over, I went for help as soon as I came to."
Spoiler for Farukh ONLY:
Farukh, your Ranger experience kicks in and you are automatically drawn to the tracks the goblins left. Using your Tracking skills (you automatically succeed) you are able to perceive that there were about 7 sets of tracks. 6 appear to be Goblin tracks, and 1 seems to be from a small human. The tracks seem to be going to a fence on the far northeast side of the property.
DM's Note: You are free to look around. A little note about Spoilers: When you get a spoiler, keep in mind that this is information only you know. It's up to you to convey that information to the rest of your party. If you don't tell them, they don't know.
Also, remember, if you're going to roll, the difference between Perception (I look and see...) and Investigation (I see and deduce...). You have to be specific about what you're looking at when you make an Investigation roll. You can't just say, "I Investigate the room." You have to say, for example, "I Investigate the Workbench." When you roll, make sure to add your modifiers. Look at your Character Sheet under Skills and add the number to your roll.
Sorry for the crappy Paint drawing, it's not to scale or anything, it's just meant to give you all a rough idea of how everything is set up. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I want to make sure stuff is clear for you guys.
Klarth will leave the indoor investigating to the others. He is far more interested in the broken gate and where/how the goblins fled with little Bess. He will investigate 14 the gate to see if he can find any clues.
Zenashi follows Klarth but investigating(13) any tiny clues around the dead goblin at the same time. What foul creature would kidnap a child the large goliath says to klarth in his deep (barry white voice). If they harm her in any way I'll make them wish they didn't. The goliath puts his hand on the half orcs((??))broad shoulder. Please forgive my rude comment earlier, I'm slow to trust; the goliath his scar in full view. And friends are very few these days. With that the monk follows Rickard.
Farukh glances around, immidiately taking in the scene. She crouches and looks at the tracks, grimacing at the foul goblin stench. She makes quick calculations and hums.
"There were six of 'em," She glances at the dead goblin. "Five now, I'm guessin'."
Farukh looks out to the pen and sees the broken gate. She calls out to her companions.
"Look! The tracks lead that way," she points north-east. Her hand twiches and grips the dagger again. She smiles viciously. "Time for huntin', pals."
DMs note: Ok, Klarth is the only one who actually used the Rolling feature, everyone else just typed a number. I want to make sure you guys know how to do it. When you're typing a message, on the top right corner you'll see a Dice Icon. Click that and the basic Dice Roller will appear. It defaults to a d20. Where it says 'Add to Result', type in your modifier. Say you have a +1 to Investigate. Your roll should look like this:
7
Please go roll again Zenashi and Galaerys, I want to make sure I'm teaching you guys correctly.
(Klarth walks over to the gated area and looks around. The gate doesn't seem to be old or not taken care of, but it does show signs that someone, probably the Goblins, broke in by force. You notice quite a few Goblin tracks around the area, as well as a rusted, cheap dagger.)
(Zenashi follows Klarth while speaking to him. He looks around as well, noticing the gate is broken but not much else.)
(Gaelerys begins to examine the Goblin corpse. He seems to have been young. He's wearing dirty, ratty leather armor, a rusty dagger tucked in his belt,10 copper pieces and a few buttons and rocks in his pouch. The blacksmith tool seems to have caught him right in his little goblin heart, so you're pretty sure he died instantly.)
(Farukh points out her findings to her companions, drawing their attention to the tracks and heading towards the gate as well.)

"D'you know where to find 'em? They leave any tracks?"
