Agreeing to Drago's idea and grabbing the candle offered by Bone (a Candle of the Deep, an easily recognizable common enchantment), Jury dives into the small pool in the northeast. Surely enough, a few minutes of searching within the now less murky water is all that is needed. A similar runic Teleportation Circle can be found at the floor of the pool, near one of the northern corners.
Jury and Justice makes their way back, trusting Verdict to have notified the others of the warforged eminent arrival in his own little way. Once there, seeing "Bone" holding (if not pocketing) a candle sees "Bone" holding up a candle, he'll squint at it for half a second before shaking it off. "It appears as if your hunch was right. Congrats, darling Drago. Though before we progress, let's make sure to properly this time, eh?" Jury says while absently trying to pet Bone's head.
"It is for that reason that I have a large request for you. That one had not paid it much mind, but you and Grixx seem more bolstered than usual. If you could the same for myself, Bone here, and--" Jury looks back and forth between Justice and Verdict. While the latter jumps around all hopeful to receive a magic boost, the former just looks as if its bobbing its head to some unknown music. But now and then one can hear what sound like a mix of hissing and humming to a tune.
(@Everyone Forgot the song. Fixed it though!)
"Justice, I s'pose." Verdict falls to his little knees, faceplants, and starts hammering the grass. If Jury takes any notices of it, none is shown in action or words. The warforged just goes on to say, "Despite the losses -- the sacrifices made thus far in our endeavor, we must preserver. It is my understanding -- conclusion that one of the keys to our success is not only preparation, but will also be faith. Faith in the divine the individual has chosen or has been chosen by, faith in each other, and faith that ultimately come what may of these trials, that we will not be broken."
(@Lerus Leveraging that last line for Inspiring Leader Feat bonus giving 12 temp HP to Grixx, Drago, Bone, Jury, Verdict, and Justice)
Drago listens to Jury and watches with curiosity as Verdict slams his head into the grass. "I will gladly follow your counsel and help us prepare for the coming storm" Drago casts Aid with a little kick from his dragon heritage (5th level slot adding 20 hp to your max hp for 16 hours using 1 sorcery point) on Jury, Bone and Justice. "Please use your new resources wisely. And indeed we shall reap, if we faint not"
(@Ori: Ahh! Snake Eater. That brings back some memories! What an amazing game that was for the time.)
The party begins to prepare themselves before journeying through the portal.
OOC: Some HP bookkeeping.
Please recall that keeping track of your HP is one of your responsibilities as a player in this campaign. If needed, I recommend revisiting our rules and best practices post for a refresher. As a check, this is what I have on my notes:
-> Jury, Bone, and Justice are all benefiting from a fresh empowered cast of Aid. They get an additional 20 HP added to their max HP for the next 16 hours. These are not temporary HP. They also benefit from another 12 temporary HP from Jury's speech.
-> Drago and Grixx are also benefiting from an empowered cast of Aid, albeit an earlier one. They get an additional 20 HP added to their max HP, but only for the next 7 hours. These are not temporary HP. They also benefit from another 12 temporary HP from Jury's speech.
-> Verdict is currently only benefiting from Jury's speech, so +12 temporary HP.
-> Justice also benefits from the Undead Thralls feature, increasing its max HP by another 9 points.
"Who will go through the portal first? I volunteer unless there are other suggestions. Jury, you could send Justice through first but I don't know that it would accomplish anything significant because he can't send messages back. I think I will go." Drago jumps into the water and dashes to find the portal in the northern corner as Jury described.
"Ya know, it just occurred to me just how much of a squirrely chap that Drago is."Jury admits to Bone and the minions, assuming the bird man hadn't dashed down after the group. Afterwards, Jury gestures for Bone to go swimming on down and through before following after with Justice preceding the warforged.

As you all approach the concentric circles... nothing happens. Those attuned to magic realize the runes are not glowing. The circle must not be active, but markings around the rune etchings suggest they can be rearranged. Drago and Jury can tell they need to be moved simultaneously.
(OOC: Five runes can only be moved at the same time. I'll need 5 arcana checks, each from a different character. One of Jury's minions may also participate.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jury bids for Verdict to join in the effort, knowing the creature to be clever... when he wanted to be. After passing on Guidance to the little guy, he joins in with the others, signaling the moment to move them.
You all simultaneously rearrange the runes and they light up in a uncomfortable purple. The circles suddenly suck you all in (like a vacuum) and you find yourselves in a dark void, separated. Jury and Verdict manage to stick together (Justice is considered part of Jury for this purpose), but other than that no one can see anybody else. You can't be sure of how long you spend in this dark void, but you can all use this unexpected extra time to prepare, if you so wish (you each have enough time to basically take a turn, as if you were in combat.)
(@All: Congratulations! You have reached 12th level! That's right, two level-ups at once! Your "turn" described above must be taken before the level-up. This does not count as a rest.)
Bone see's the sigil... then darkness. His mind immediately starts trying to find images. Nothing. Darkness. His thoughts go to his comrades, desperately squinting his eyes to find them. Nothing. He will cast Daylight, centered on himself.
((That's his turn. I'm going to assume he see's nothing. I pull a 10 hour shift tomorrow so I won't have time to post until late in the evening where I will level up Bone to 12.))
(@Lerus Aww man. So much for prepping an upgrade spells. Speaking of which, do you mind if I swap one of my old spells as well? It's not quite the wizard way, but I may have made a miscalculation on at least 2 spells. Possibly a third. If not, that's okay!)
(@All: Woot! Also, oh da noes! Now the really big bads will be thrown at us. D:)
Despite the temptation, Jury trusted Verdict and Justice to be his eyes. Thus, he had both place a hand upon the symbol etched in his shield, and bespeeched Erathis for a Bless for her servants. Afterwards, both are bid to make ready to defend(Dodge) themselves with Verdict watching Jury's front from his perch atop his head, and Justice doing the same turned about on his shoulder to guard the back. "Though we may be separated, we will preserver watchers."
You all make your preparations. Grixx hears nothing but an eerie silence but takes a defensive position. Drago delivers his presence in the material plane to the fickle whims of Tymora. Jury protects his minions. It isn't until Bone casts his Daylight spell that the dark void is broken. You all see the light from the spell, but from different angles and distances. When reality comes back and surrounds you, you all find yourselves in different places.
(At this point, I'd like to invite you to a new thread. I promise it will all make sense soon. For now, we'll be gaming here: The Trial - Vale Tudo.)
