As you are pushed back inside, your words are muffled by the liquid air. You think back to the melody, but the words don't come to you. You hum the tune instead; hearing it echoed by the girl before you, just out of sight.
Mimzy contents herself to hum her tune instead as she attempts to slowly move in the direction towards the girl she hears echoing her tune just of sight trying to reach her.
I try to lash out as the watery air disappears but my body won't listen. Frustrated, I close my eyes, grit my teeth and try to tense my body. I stay all but silent as the sounds of pain quietly escapes me.
The liquid air begins flowing out, and over the rush of moisture, you hear; "I like the sounds mine makes," coming from the shadow creature.
As the liquid passes you, you see your body for the first time. Small stubby arms, small frame, large nose. The shadow creature, now towering over you, chuckles. "I like mine small and timid." The shadow whispers. Suddenly the creature's shadows engulf you, leaving your flesh as dark as night. It mockingly adds with a laugh; "And wrapped in my power."
It feels like something is about to happen, I hold as still as possible, bracing against the pressure. Waiting to see what happens next, I hope that the owner of the hand that greeted me has good intentions towards my fate.
You wait, with hope, as the change takes your body. As the liquid air flows past you, you feel lighter, almost feather like. You are only able to tell that you are small, before you are wrapped up in the arms of a small framed female. "Mine." Is all she says, and hugs you for a long minute. After some time she steps back and extends her arm again to shake your hand. "Welcome."
I would spin around and excitedly, moving as close as I could to the creature, having been pet and seeing these strange... nice... I think... creatures. Once back in the tank alone, I would move as close as I could to the figures as they moved around outside of my reach. Suddenly as the pressure would begin to build and push, I would try my hardest to stay close to the figures... to keep them in sight... not wanting to leave them or them leave me... not wanting to be alone.
She sees that you are trying to stay close, and makes a giddy noise. You can see the outline of her form as she sits nearby. The liquid air flows away and your vision is suddenly obscured as a puff of hair expands in almost an explosion all around your body, including your tail. She kneels before you, and holds her arms out for a hug.
I let out a scream of frustration at the lack of power to control the circumstances. Then after venting my frustration I grow still and quiet waiting for whatever will happen next. Planning and plotting my next action trying to determine all possible contingencies and plan a move depending on which takes place. My mind growing to accept and understand how my body moves so it can move in perfect timing and syncopation when the time came to act.
The liquid air drops away and you see the hairy creature at a ready stance, he knows what you have planned, and he is going to stop you... or at least try.
You feel your large thick muscles tense throughout your strong body. This frame of yours will aid your battles greatly.
Curious, but not yet scared, I watch the colors shift and change, wondering what it means. I try to hold my breath, waiting to see what happens next.
The creature before you stays quiet and far away as you go through the process. When the liquid air is gone, a small female with glasses timidly stands there. She looks up to you, and then back down to the ground; standing in silence.
Mimzy contents herself to hum her tune instead as she attempts to slowly move in the direction towards the girl she hears echoing her tune just of sight trying to reach her.
When the liquid air falls, you see the girl before you again. She smiles and says; "You are almost ready." You look her in the eye as you both stand very small. She smiles once more and then turns to the room. "Remember the format the Elder Gods gave us. We have established their souls, we have completed their forms, now we build their pasts, and then their futures. Ask your questions."
The shadow creature pulls away and reforms, asking; "What do you fear the most?"
As she continues to shake your hand, she says; "Where does your Heart lie?"
Still waiting to hug you, she says; "Where is your secret place?"
He more growls than asks you; "Do you think you'll win?"
She opens and shuts her mouth several times, before asking in barely over a whisper; "What's your favorite sound?"

I keep my eyes fixed on the floor and think over. As I realise, I look up at the Shadow. "I fear you, in this very moment. What is happening? Why do I look like this?" I clench my fists, wanting to strike out at this shadow with my bare hands.
I look at the figure before me, clearly ready for what I had planned. My body attempts to act but my disciplined mind holds it in control, analyzing it for any weak points and evaluating it for any clues to its skills and training. Somehow this just came naturally to me as I crouched there at ready. When it spoke my focus was almost broken but it's words actually caused me to be able to focus even more. "I do not know if I will win, but this I do. You are beatable, and of any here I stand the greatest chance." I then look around pretending to not want to attack anymore. Acting as if curiosity had gotten the better of me but actually looking to see if it would let down its guard and if so, I would take advantage of its weakness to pounce.

Mimzy watches and listens with fascination... her eyes wide as she patiently waits!
The shadow creature pulls away and reforms, asking; "What do you fear the most?"
Mimzy considers this question carefully before responding, "I only fear the 'rival' that lies within... myself!"
As she continues to shake your hand, she says; "Where does your Heart lie?"
Mimzy smiles and giggles, with her free hands she points up into the night sky of an endless starry cosmos she imagines in her mind's eye an image so clear in her mind it struggles to get out, to be free as she responds, "the second star to the right and straight on 'til morning... to the land of dreams and magic where the Wyrwood grows and the Faeries sing... home! My heart lies where my home is, my true home."
Still waiting to hug you, she says; "Where is your secret place?"
"My imagination!"
He more growls than asks you; "Do you think you'll win?"
Mimzy shrugs innocently, at this rather leading question but in the ends responds as best she is able, "I don't know... it's like the saying, it's not the destination but the journey, so I guess it depends on... am I the hero or the villain of the story? If the first one, I certainly hope so, but if the later then perhaps it would be for the best and all concerned if I lose!"
She opens and shuts her mouth several times, before asking in barely over a whisper; "What's your favorite sound?"
"The sound of laughter!"
"Why are you Mimzy?" Is all she asks you.
"Why am I not? How strange to dream of me, even when I am wide awake! I am the Mimzy, I am the Dreamweaver, the dream and the dreamer..."
I smile and reach out, wondering who this girl is and who I am to her.
As you reach out towards her, you see your small hand and fingers. She pauses and waits a long moment for your reply. Finally she whispers; "I like silence too." Almost a full minute later she adds; "What kind of book do you like?"
I keep my eyes fixed on the floor and think over. As I realise, I look up at the Shadow. "I fear you, in this very moment. What is happening? Why do I look like this?" I clench my fists, wanting to strike out at this shadow with my bare hands.
"We are creating you." The shadow replies. "I am making you. I am power beyond. You are right to fear me." The small girl, infront of the newly created Mimzy, turns and says; "Stop scaring him or he'll never work for you. People don't like gods they have to fear!" He hissingly replies; "I don't need to be liked." She gives him a 'yes you do' look. He responds by asking you; "Would you rather fear me or face me without fear?"

He gives you a look like he may relax, but even though he is taking a moment to stretch, he is not yet dropping his guard; eyes on you the entire time. After the long slow stretch he says; "Good accessment." He grins, showing a lot of sharp teeth. "Do you prefer easy wins or the challenge of struggles?"
I would stumble towards the the girl and wrap my large hairy arms around her, squeezing her tightly but making sure not to hurt her. "My special place... Is a nice warm hug"
She giggles and almost purrs in response. "I like mine too." You can feel strength in your arms as you hold her. "Can I keep you?" She asks.
"My heart?" I hold my other hand up to my chest, "My heart lies with... there's someone, but I can't see their face... "
"You will. You'll know it when you see it again." She says letting go of your hand. "But that is your future; I must have asked the wrong question. Um..." She thinks for a moment. "What is fun?" She suddenly asks.
Mimzy watches and listens with fascination... her eyes wide as she patiently waits!
Mimzy considers this question carefully before responding, "I only fear the 'rival' that lies within... myself!"

She smiles at each of your answers. "You jump ahead again, I should make you fast." She says and then giggles. "You only needed to answer my question silly."
After a moments pause she asks; "What is precious to you, something you never want to be without?" After another moment she adds; "Answer just my question if you can. Too many answers can be a strain on my strength." A bead of swet drips along her face.
Turning back to the figure I look him in the eye. "The more challenging the more I can learn and grow. The better I become and the more capable to protect those I love I will be. I currently have no one to protect but I want to be worthy and able when the time comes." The questions of the figure were starting to cause me to think he is not trying to harm me but I still would not lower my guard. I would not have him catch me by surprise.

I will squeeze her just a little tighter before lifting her slightly into the air and giving her a little spin. "I would like that very much, I cannot think of anyone better!!!" His voice excited but sounding much deeper than something of his size normally would.
After a moments pause, she asks; "What is precious to you, something you never want to be without?" After another moment she adds; "Answer just my question if you can. Too many answers can be a strain on my strength." A bead of sweat drips along her face.
Mimzy's large quick eyes dart about playfully taking note of the single bead of sweat that drips slowly down the face of her maker and reaches out her hand with forefinger extended using it to collect the precious bead on her fingertip then draws her finger to her lips tasting the essence contained... as she answers the question with one simple word, "LIFE!!!"
"Work for.. work for you?" I stand up and touch my skin again, hoping to now be fully formed. I gaze at my hands and turn them over, picking out the details. "So, are you my God? And these others, they are Gods of these other creatures, too? You have some explaining to do. I would rather face you without fear. If what I believe is true, God's are to be worshipped and adored, not feared. That is not the kind of God I would rely on to protect me."
I gaze at him, still with fists clenched and gritted teeth.
"No one to protect? Does this room look empty to you?" He growls. "That one over there has been screaming in pain and fear for some time, yet your actions stand different than your words." He stares deeply into your eyes. "What's your name Mister Protector?"
"I like all kinds of books, I think," I say, wondering how I know that. "What is this place? Who are you?"
She looks surprised. "Oh, um, questions. Uh..." She whispers back to you; "I... I am your God. I... um... made you. You're my champion. What... what would you like your name to be?" She timidly asks.
I will squeeze her just a little tighter before lifting her slightly into the air and giving her a little spin. "I would like that very much, I cannot think of anyone better!!!" His voice excited but sounding much deeper than something of his size normally would.
She screams with glee as she spins. "Yay!!!" She yells. The God before Mimzy calls to her; "You know we have to send them to the world; you can't just keep him." Your God replies; "Yeah I can, I'm a God!" Half pouting. "He's my..." She looks at you. "What was your name again?"
You taste the essence of spent divine energy, like the drop was hollow. "Life is a good answer. Now, I know that you are Mimzy." She adds. "That is your core, your nature; but what is your name?"
"Work for.. work for you?" I stand up and touch my skin again, hoping to now be fully formed.
Your flesh, though formed, is completely black. A hiss comes from your God; "Fine, I will try to..." He sighs. "...be less scary. But I do enjoy it." The shadows pull back into the God, wave after wave of darkness is absorbed until his form begins to shrink. Soon all that is left of his darkness is the form of a tiny winged black fleshed man. In a voice that still radiates darkness, but to a softer tone, he says; "And what is the name of the being that demands the changing of a God's very nature?"
He looks around, Having been so focused on potential threats that he did not see the others around. Taking them in while still watching the gruff figure he wonders what connection they have to him. He then meets the others eyes and stands to his full height. "My name is Vanyel, and I protect my companions and those dear to me . I do not know any of these and so they are not under my protection. Are you telling me that is going to change?"

"Listen, if this is your nature, so be it. Just know that if I am to be your champion like these others, what is the word you would like to be spread in your name? Fear? Love? Hate? Protection? I do like a certain amount of fear, mind. It makes you feel alive. I feel I have a name, it came to me in the tank. Mercury Tytan-Strattis. That feels right. And what should I call you, my lord?"
Mercury smiles at the Shadow, feeling as if he has a little hold over a God. He runs his hands over his head, throws some of the liquid onto the ground and looks in anticipation.

Mercury smiles at the Shadow, feeling as if he has a little hold over a God. He runs his hands over his head, throws some of the liquid onto the ground and looks in anticipation.
"My name.... my name is...." holding a fluffy claw to his mouth... "Kip... Yup.... Kip is good" He will say with a big smile on his face.
