"By the Morning Lord!" Lukian exclaims after studying the little bit of whatever it is hidden under the earth. "I ... I believe this may be a piece of ... oh, what was it? Vonin ... Vonindob? No, Vonindod." He looks at Toruun. "Does that seem right to you?" He looks at Devin. "The Vonindod, which means death titan in the giant tongue, was a giant-sized construct the giants used during their war with the dragons." He looks back at the thing. "Do you think the whole thing is buried here? It could take months to dig it all up."
"That would certainly draw giants to this village if they think they can recover this item in their efforts to gain standing in the Ordning. We should warn the Lord Protector. Uncle Zeph said something was going to happen here. I'll bet giants will come here to get this."
Devin will move off towards the keep to let the Lord Protector know what they have discovered.
Torunn closes his eyes for a moment. With one hand still on the artifact, his other clutching his Holy Symbol, he opens his eyes and bellows, "Oh mighty Gond, I beseech that you answer two questions about this artifact. One; What was this artifacts purpose and Two; How do we hide it from the giants?"
"Well it ain't like any o'v us see any big footers on 'e way 'ere, so we got at least some brea'en room."Beedo comments having finally caught his breathe, and makes his way over to whatever part lay still unburied at the time. "But Ya say'n 'at fing is like a giant version of 'e Boss Lady? Like some sorta big bro'er or some'n? 'cause if 'ats 'e case 'ere, 'en s'e can just ask'm to go fook'in 'og wild on 'ere o'er giants!"

Beedo scrunches up his face back at Lukian. "What? It could work! Boss Lady ain't exactly 'e a people's person, but c'mon! It's like 'er big bro'er, so it'll be fine. And at least 'is way it'll stay out of big footers 'ands too!"He declares confidently for whatever reason.

Lukian looks up at the goblin again. "I'm not saying your theory has no merit," he says. "But, first of all, we're not sure if this is a piece or the whole. Secondly, we're not sure if it has to be controlled or if it is capable of acting independently. Thirdly, if it is sentient, we have no way of knowing if it will choose to be friendly. I am very ignorant where living constructs are concerned. Your 'boss lady' is the first I've met. I'm just leery of assuming something created by giants as an instrument of war won't continue to be just that: an instrument of war."
What was this artifact’s purpose? Can it be controlled by a non-giant?
Toruun’s vision
As Toruun seeks the guidance of his god, a series of visions flash before his eyes, the first vision is off the Giants being defeated in a massive battle by legions of dragons, the second vision is of a fire giant presenting some sort of plan to what appears to be a council of the various giant races, the third vision is of stone and hill giants - mostly hill giants - mining some sort of ore, the fourth vision is off a giant smithy/industrial works pounding metal into various shapes - the smithy is almost entirely populated by Fire Giants working at forges although hill giants are dragging huge buckets of ore to the forges, the fifth vision is of some sort of huge humanoid easily 4-5 times as long as the Giants - again mostly Fire Giants - working on it lying on the floor of the forge, the sixth vision flows from this and has several Cloud Giants and Storm Giants chanted around the construct which slowly rises to its feet. The seventh and final vision has the construct in battle against dragons, smaller ones it grabs and rips apart, larger ones it grabs by the tail and swings into the ground whilst legions of giants - mostly Frost Giants - battle other Dragons.
At no stage do you see anybody other the Giants and a Dragons in the visions.

If this thing is found and awoken, it could lay waste to the countryside in the wrong hands. We need to regroup and come up with a plan."
Surprised, Beedo hesitates only for a second before running to Torunn's side, clapping a hand on the shoulder as if to steady him. "Ya 'ad one of'em -- *clears throat*… I mean. As some of the party, well at least D.O.R.K., make their way into the Lord Protector’s tower past the 15 horses tied up outside, they can see the Lord Protector obviously briefing 15 men dressed in splint armour with Long Bows across their shoulders.

Devin arrives at the tower and listens to what the Lord Protector is telling the troops that are assembled. Getting close to one of them he asks "Hey, what's going on?"
“Orcs have been raiding the farms and ranches a days ride to the south and the Lord Protector has summoned the militia’s flying squad to go and see them off!” the soldier replies out of the side of his mouth
D.O.R.K had been standing back herself by the time others arrived, seeming to give the militia time to speak with the Lord Protector. However, after Devin's interjection and subsequent answer, she asks of their findings. Even if she only gets a shorthand of it, its enough to leave her taken aback for a moment. "This will not do. Gentleman--" She steps up to them.
"-and Lord Protector. There is an additional concern we have recently discovered that may require reinforcements to this location. Query: Is there a possibility of such in the near future to at least protect, or potentially excavate and relocate our discovery? For we have reason to believe to believe you may soon come under the direct scrutiny of giants seeking to acquire it."

"Let's head to the keep and see what is going on."
