(ooc: my npc's would be where ever they were instructed to go)
The NPCs would have been running around like blue-arsed flies for the past 2 hours. Can you have a look at the map in Post #1608 and give me a location where they're now at.

Having only a fractional understanding of the artifact but knowing its important from the bried explanation he got from Torunn, Ghelwyn will set up defensively near the artifact.
Narth, Urgala, and Ghelryn would come equipped for war, wielding a shortsword, Morningstar, and battle axe respectively. Being best suited in melee combat, they would have positioned themselves near the artifact.. following Ghelwyn's lead.
And so it begins – 6 pm, Day 5, Third Ten-day, Month of Eleasis
Perched somewhat precariously in the rafters of the old feed and caravan supply establishment, Toruun scans the horizon. At a distance of about 600 feet he can see what can only be described as a small horde. a) Surrounding two giants, he can see five figures and what looks like 12 moving sparks. In front of the horde he can see six figures mounted on some sort of giant bird acting as some sort of screen. b) He estimates that the mounted creatures will reach him in about five rounds but the edge of the town a round earlier.
Please note that as the Giants are approaching from low lying ground and the location of the other party members (see Map below) nobody else can see anything.
At the same time, D.O.R.K. and his entourage can see about 150 feet away - just on the edge of the map C1 - a figure outlined by the setting sun walking down the track towards where they are still digging the trench.

Devin stands near the keep with Darathara. His eyes are in the sky watching to see if Aslan returns. He had nervous energy and is pacing a bit and then standing still yet almost bouncing in place and then pacing again.
Darathara looks at him.
"Relax youngster. It'll be OK."
Devin looks to her nervously. "I'm worried for Aslan. I've come to really love that cat and I don't want to see him hurt."
He immediately looks back to the sky watching for the Tressym to return.
"Company. Halt!"D.O.R.K commands her group(brigade? Posse?) of goblins and one elephant, and gestures to the distance. As Beedo and Vark scramble at least part way out of the hole for a lookely loo, the construct has turned to searching the sky for Aslan. "We're too late. And they are using the sun to their advantage to distort their figures and numbers."She turns back to the distant figure, and without breaking eye contact on it, draws her javelin while dispensing commands.
"Acolyte Beedo. You are the swiftest. I need you to notify the others of at least one unit approaching from this angle. Acolyte Vark. We are going with plan V."Beedo starts to let out a sigh, only to get side-elbowed by Vark. "I'm goin, I'm goin! Jus give me a secon'! Sir I get to ride Mister destroyer of Ogres and Giants alike."Beedo complains to a smirking Vark. Despite the complaints, Beedo takes the job seriously enough to pull out all stops in dashing towards the center, shouting to those in Beedo's voice range (which for such a loud mouth was quite a bit!) the warning, and to be ready for company.
Vark meanwhile gives Golemogote his marching orders, eventually leading the elephant and passenger goblin in postion between house and fence at E2, readying. At a moment's notice, the two would charge the first figure to cross to try cross the half-dug pit, hopefully catching them off-guard. In the interim, D.O.R.K across the pit, one hand cocked back for a throw while the other lined up the mark as trained. The moment she 'expected' the figure to cross into the 120 foot range, a primed 'Breathe Stealer' would already be sailing on a deadly course...

Devin you sent the cat out 2-3 hours ago before you went off to the mage. I did ask - but it probably got lost in the traffic - how far you were sending him. I have assumed that he came back some time ago (2 hours ago ish) and had nothing to report having only probably gone 500 yards to a mile beyond the town.
... leading the elephant and passenger goblin in postion between house and fence at E2.
D.O.R.K. remember the squares are 50 x 50. That will take you one round if you dash or two rounds if you try not to be two obvious.
Xanthas would walk down the road, his black robes billowing in the breeze as the sun glints off of his long metalic mask. The raven shaped mask that concealed the Shadar-kai's face from the bright sun would stare unphased by the movements taking place in the town before him. This hands would be empty, but swinging slowly near a silver rapier with a crossbown on his back. As the elf walks, he would raise one of his black gloved hands up towards his throat. With a faint green glow from his hand, he would cast Thaumaturgy before a booming shout erupts from the black metal mask. "The Raven Queen knows all... She seems to think you may need assistance!.. I have come to offer my services!" He would shout in an unnaturally loud booming voice as he continues making his way towards the town
And so it begins – 6 pm, Day 5, Third Ten-day, Month of Eleasis - an Update
What everybody hears
Suddenly everybody hears a booming voice yell out "the Raven Queen knows all... She seems to think you may need assistance!.. I have come to offer my services!" coming from the western end of the town.
Only D.O.R.K. and his entourage can see it seems to emanate from the figure in black robes striding down the Triboar Trail - the 150+ mile link road that connects Triboar to the High Road at the coast.
What Narth (Lukian), Urgala (Wreck), and Ghelryn (Toruun) hear
"The army approaches. From the northeast direction. Get ready lads" from Toruun in his perch in the rafters of the ruined building.
What Toruun sees
The creatures riding the giant birds have closed to 400' from his position and are starting to climb the slope towards the town. The Giants and their entourage have closed the distance by 60' and are currently about 200' from the edge of the town.
D.O.R.K hesitates for all of a few seconds prior to turning the javelin in hand in a symbolic gesture, signaling for Vark to approach and pick up the stranger with all due haste. As the duo made ready to depart, D.O.R.K traces the symbol on her forehead once, causing it to burn glow faintly. "Acknowledged. Operatives of the Red Knight are on approach. Do not be alarmed. But, be swift, and meet them half-way for transportation into city proper." She shouts in her own synthezied but amplified femine voice.
Then after a moment's pause, she looks once to the half-finished trench ahead and shook her head. "Be advised. Ally on approach. Acolyte Beedo... Continue as planned."She adds, directing her voice more towards the village proper. Her work done, she stands at the ready to receive the raven queen's emissary with no small amounts of curiosity.
(@Grant: Already used my action to action for the spell, so no dashing back. Vark on Golemgote however will dash towards the figure. Not that she has reason to dash quite yet anyways.)

Does anybody else want to do anything. I'm tracking the following: a) Beedo running flat out for the Lord Protector - will not arrive until end of next round b) Vark mounted on Golemogote are ambling towards Xanthas - will not arrive for two rounds
