” Mistress Ylsa, let me start by telling ye lass, that yer crossbow works just fine. It was a true asset when slaughtering elven shites ( Elmo motions towards the drow prisoners). I thank ye and look forward to killing that Droki bastard with it.”
Elmo approaches the lady, but keeps a respectable distance
” now to address me dwarven mates wise words, we do need to get word to the Holderhek estate. We could certainly use one of yer most hospitable guides as well. But most important of all, Yer city is beset by evil that sees to conquer it. My fear is me lady ( despite the gravity of the conversation, Elmo finds his eyes drifting towards Ylsa’s cleavage) , is that even if we do our darnedest now to help, that it will be too late for your city. If we have any chance of saving this proud and noble empire, we must work together now and collect debts later.”
Elmo takes a deep breath
“My companions and I need to leave quickly. This is tied to our lot. I get the feeling that they need us for something, and that they did not expect us to be so capable (Elmo chuckles softly). I suspect that they are getting desperate to apprehend the great Elmo and his brave companions( Elmo pauses and smiles at his party). And, take my expertise for what it’s worth, But we should travel by sewer or other crafty means. I say this to ye wise lady Knowing that they may be tracking us by unnatural means. They may be able to see us even in a place as protected and secretive as yours. The power of yer hidden enemies is great. We have seen their power many times ( Elmo gives Grem, a paragon of truth and righteousness, a knowing glance.)”
Elmo pauses
”We hid Like shadows, or took another face entirely upon entering yer establishment. Honest Me lady. And even though we left through yer secret back exit, these drow devils attacked us in short order. I need to know if ye have a wizard or priest to survey the lot of us. If we are going to help this proud city, me mates and I need privacy from demons and others who wish us harm”
Elmo bows Respectfully.
“ please let us know what information you extract from these shites” (Elmo kicks the drow with a mighty halfling kick)
“Lastly me lady, would ye happen to have any equipment for me human and me tortle companions? They may be battling demons and their crazed followers shortly in defense of yer loveliness, and her empire (Elmo winks). I fear that they may be a wee bit under equipped currently. We can settle up afterwords or if I’m wrong.”
Ylsa smiles proudly when Elmo describes Duergar's Spite unique specialty of Elf-inflicting pain. She grins satisfactorily when catching Elmo's eyes divert to her prominently displayed breasts. Her lips turn solemn when she hears Elmo speak dismissively of collecting on debts.
Ylsa - "Your words bear truths, Halfling. Danger isn't coming for this city alone. It pervades the entirety of the Underdark. Salvation from it lies not in defending the walls, but in ripping out the infection!" She stands commandingly at the end of her sentence. Her breasts heave with her visible anger. As she speaks her next words, she points a finger at the group, to no one in particular. "You brought these bastards to my doorstep and now I must deal with the emissary of whichever damn House they belong to..." She ends her sentence looking down at the two Drow, who have now regained consciousness and are listening intently. "I expect the information they will provide shall be...enlightening." Ylsa smiles wickedly at the Drow and for a brief moment, you swear a flicker of intense, red fire upon her eyes. "As for equipment...you may ask me for a requisition order. Depending on what you're looking for, I may be able to acquire something as rare as Duergar's Spite...however it will fetch a pretty coin...or a favor of equivalent value to me." She sits back down slowly with a slight lean towards the group. Leaning back with one hand twirling her hair and looking directly at Rowland, she asks, "What is it that my handsome after wine, Human desires?"
Rowland looks at Ysla with a startled look slightly caught off guard by her words, believing she finds him attractive since he is unaware of her knowledge of the appearance of any other humans in the party and then gives a small nod and a wink.
"You're an honorable lady madam and I appreciate the fairness you display." He takes a brief moment to take in her appearance. "Truly it must be with great willpower that your servants remain on task while in the presence of such beauty. In regards to equipment, I do my best with a weapon in each hand and appreciate a lighter cut of armor madam. Anything of higher quality in those forms would indeed be much appreciated and aid in our mutual cause. In regards to these drow, I have a special interest in their knowledge of this symbol", and he pulls out the medallion once more for her and then turns to ensure the drow see it.
Perception check to determine any reaction from the drow when shown the medallion.
He clouts the drow with the back of his guantleted hand across the back of the head. Dam drow have no manners.. he mumbles.
"Would you be able to send word to Hemeth on our behalf milady? Time is of the essence, and we need to be getting to the forges to find Leon. As Master Elmo here said in way to many words than be needed, We need to defeat this evil and scourge it from the under dark indeed. "
He inadvertently ignites his mace out of reaction. Its green flames glowing brightly. "Uh.. sorry about that.." he looks slightly embarrassed at his pre-mature ignition of his flame.
Just then, a Derro walks hurriedly to Ylsa and whispers in her ear.
Ylsa - "Time's up, boys! Our interrogator has arrived and he's rather expensive so time is of the essence. Gremryl, Elmo, Rowland, and the mute, possible deaf mutant turtle fella, take this map to find your way back to the Holderhek manse. I'll send you out another back door, but please, no more leading the enemy to my base of operations, ok?"
Behind you a mechanical sound of clicking and shifting is heard. You look from where the sound is coming from and see that the staircase that was once heading down, twists and contorts into a small-sized door. There's nothing on the other side, but you suspect there's some magic afoot.
From another door, much more massive in size than the one you're expected to leave through, that's just appeared to your right (facing Ylsa) a monstrous hulking behemoth of a giant comes walking in.
Grugg - "Drow! Grugg favorite to beat. HAH HAH HAH!"He walks slowly towards the two Drow laying on the floor. Smiling at Ylsa then glancing at the group and instantly recognizing Gremryl but continuing to make his way towards the Drow. "Grugg not ask." shaking his head but otherwise unperturbed. Now standing imposingly above the Drow on the floor who now recognize that their lives are likely about to end soon after tremendous pain, he looks up at Ylsa and asks, "Grugg start?" Smiling broadly.
Ylsa - "Not here, Grugg. Sadek, show our guest to the interrogation room."
Sadek - "Yes, my lady. C'mon ya big lug. This way." and he walks away from the group towards yet another door that has shifted into sight.
Grugg pucks up one of the Drow and slings him over his shoulder. Then with the other hand, picks up the other Drow by the shirt collar and drags him across the floor, following Sadek.
Ylsa turns towards the adventurers and points towards the door behind them, then waves her fingers to say goodbye.
As Gremryl walks out he sees the barbarian.. and slightly winces, although he tries to hide it.. "Dam barbarians... " he mumbles, and has a fleeting moment of pity for those Drow. Their were in for a world of hurt. But they deserved it.
Now to get to Hemeth and then to Leon. Then find who hurt his warthog.. Time to spread some blessings!
Gremryl follows out the building.
assuming we are all out side. perception check 23 to get a sense of direction and detect danger
"Lets get to moving lads, elmo scout for us as we go lad. Keep that dastardly crossbow ready!"
The group steps out of the door, and into a dark alley that opens up to a bustling marketplace. Gremryl and Rowland notice that they’re once again in a different and unfamiliar part of the city. There are, however, plenty of merchants and other folk around to ask for directions.
The merchant looks at Gremryl and says, "Surface-dweller, I can tell ya which direction to go...but you're gonna have to buy something from me." He looks around his shop as if he's lost something and frantically searching for it. Then he digs into his pockets, and brings out severed finger that looks to be many weeks old at best. You then notice that his pinky finger on his right hand is missing! "That'll be 5gp."
Elmo watches from the rooftops and checks for any signs of Drow following them. He feels a tap on the shoulder. Turning his head to look back slowly, he sees two Duerger Stone Guards!
Stone Guard - "What in the actual bloody **** are you doing up here, Halfling? Get yer' ass back down to the streets before we sell ya off to the highest bidder." he says as the other raises his sword at Elmo.
Elmo jumps down and returns to the group. "Where the bloody hell are the guards when ye being attacked in the streets?!" Elmo mutters to himself
When elmo retruns to the group he see's the merchant missing a finger and holding a rotten one in his hand.
"Holy Shite! This dwarf is mad!" Looks at Grem, "let me see the map mate. Something to write with as well if one of ye got it. I am, among other things, a scout. I have seen, written and used many a map or less to navigate in me better years."
I would like to do a survival check. I want to look at this map to find our location. If i know where we are and where the manse is, I can start figuring out other things. I want to makes notes and mark places of interest for others on the back of the map.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing the confusion of the group in regards to the map and their sense of direction and current location, Rowland looks around and tries to determine which direction is which based on any landmarks or features of the underdark city in hopes of understanding where they may be on the map.
Elmo takes a look at the map and can readily identify their current location and where they must head, thanks to Ylsa marking up the map to get them to the Holderhek manse. Rowland than comes over, and just as he's starting to get his bearings, an uncontrollable sneeze takes hold of him before given a chance to cover his mouth. What happens next is truly disgusting...An overly sized ball of light-green, sticky mucus comes rocketing out of Rowland's mouth and covers a portion of the map relevant to where their path must travel! It's impossible to tell how to navigate that particular portion of the city now.
Gremryl, looking displeased at Rowland's peculiar lack of hygiene, takes the finger from the merchant after all, wipes off the mucus as best as he can, now revealing the portion of the map that was unreadable, and hands the severed finger to Rowland. Then tells Rowland that he owes the merchant 5gp.

“It appears so lad. I don’t know how to get to the forges and Hemeth Can give us guidance. But we’s be moving quick now lads . “
Gremryl walks over the the nearest merchant and shows them the map:
"Excuse me, what is the fastest way to this spot (he points to the Manse)? If ye could be point us in the right direction, I would be much obliged. "
He sets down 2 silver pieces on the merchants table.
