The Tortle stares off into space...seemingly enthralled by some distant memory of a life he once lived as a young tortle not much bigger than the size of a Halfling's palm...
Mikey moves forward to attack the snakes with his nunchucks. Sending more of the spineless creatures smashing into the cavern walls, only a few of the snakes remain now. They hiss rather mockingly.
And with Rowland’s flurry of attacks, the Swarm of Snakes has been reduced to piles of snake bits and pieces.
All around the room are signs of a great bug massacre. Dozens upon dozens of centipede carapaces, spider limbs and snake heads, all strewn about in every which way one could imagine. It would be crystal clear to any who walk this path next that a deep rooted hatred of creepy crawlers was enforced judiciously and with extreme prejudice.

Looking around at the carnage "well, we made a mess here that's for sure. Reminds me of a time from me gutbusting days when we were marching through the silbermarshes.. dont confuse them with the silver marshes... and lads.. So many bugs!! Anyhoot... let's see if ol scoutmaster grem can see which way we be going"
Gremryl tries to sift through the mess of bug guts and critter pieces...unfortunately, he's unable to discern any difference in taking the left or right path...
"Fine by me mates." Elmo keeps his radiant sword lit and wields it like a torch. "I can stay back a ways. to not ruin ye stealth. I just dont feel safe being blind down here mates."
Rowland scouts ahead, about 50ft or so of the group and travels approximately 500ft until he reaches another intersection. He hears a noise from the fork that would take him right. The tracks he's following take him left.
Rowland will quickly double back and quietly alert the group to what he has just learned.
"I could possibly sneak farther along and attempt to discern what caused the noises in the right passage. Although if we're staying true to the mission I'd say we attempt to sneak past and follow the tracks. Either way should we take a short rest before continuing?"
“We should be taking a long rest mates. I’ll take first watch.” Elmo sets a torch in the tunnel wall 20 ft from the parties resting spot in both direction he then stealths and keeps watch.

Leon still breathing heavy from the last encounter
"I agree with the long rest boys. If any of you take any more attacks I don't think I can heal anyone. Who would have thought snakes and bugs would be our hardest fight yet?"

"We be almost done lads!! Let's finish this up and push through!!"
"Gladly!!" Rowland cries responding to Gremryl's suggestion at pushing on.
"I for one could use a moment to heal up, feels like one of those bastards had some fire in his bite."

The group has three directions to choose from:
1. Back in the direction they came from.
2. Forward taking the left fork in the tunnel.
3. Forward taking the right fork in the tunnel.

"I'll resume scouting ahead. Once again, I'd like to request a rest at some point when the group is ready."
Rowland will resume his stealth scouting a short distance ahead, down the left path.

"Fine by me lads, my gut is telling me we are going into the heart of the fire if ye get me drift!"
Mikey will do a survival check to see if he can detect anything regarding the tracks or the sounds ahead
