Noam slides a parchment to your group, along with a key. The parchment has the address written down, signed permission to enter the house on the 29th, and some handwritten notes about the Helmed Horror. (The info in the mouse-over pop-up window, but in terms the characters understand.) "There may be other threats beyond this one, but you should at least be prepared for this... When you are sure the house has been cleansed, lock the front door and return the key to me... Some house damage due to fights will be tolerated, but the family does not want reckless, wanton destruction of their belongings. So if you were planning on tossing a Necklace of Fireballs inside the front door, please don't."
"I've also done some research about the family and this deceased relative, in case it comes in useful." (Read the "spoilers" at your convenience.)
The Diamondbrook family is wealthy, and dysfunctional, with in-fighting over the family wealth. The house is small, 2 stories, and run-down. The property is in the middle of the wealthy part of Greensville, so is worth a lot if sold. The neighbors did not have anything to report, as they stayed away from the creepy elf and his shabby dwelling and the creepy elf who lived there.
The elf who lived there, Adram, was shunned by the other family members. They considered him unhinged. Some years ago, he heard a myth about a human sculptor who convinced a god to turn his most beautiful statue into a flesh-and-blood wife. Adram commissioned a statue of a female elf, and researched arcane methods to bring this statue to life. He isolated himself in his house, with his books and magic research, only seen by porters delivering food and supplies. He was last seen a month ago, when the deliverers could no longer enter the locked front door.
The family spent the minimum amount of time and effort to have Adram declared dead. The first investigators hired by the family entered the house without incident, but never came out. The second group of investigators were attacked by the suit of armor immediately after stepping inside the house.

(do we have to ask for specific items in the dwarf's shop or will you list out any items of interest he is selling?)
(Better to ask for items, or at least give me a general idea of what you'd like to find. The shop is closer to a small wild west store, not like a fantasy Target mega-store... If you would like a single type of mundane weapon, or a score of arrows, he will definitely have it. Coils of rope, tinder boxes, yes. He won't have Defender swords all over the place. No bear traps or potions of healing... The dwarf is offering armor and silver-plated weapons, but those are items that he is crafting or modifying as special-orders.)
Noam explains that there is no immediate action being taken against the sahuagin or the devils... Right now, it is information gathering, with some defensive actions like warnings for travelers and increases in patrols... The sahuagin are an army, but out in the ocean. No one on the land wants to start a lengthy war in the water. (Individuals who want to fight have probably volunteered to be mercenaries for the merfolk.)... The locations of the devils are unknown... If a strategic location is found, or a big operation to be opposed, the Nunkreet officials will post a quest offer at that time.

Isk chuckles to himself at Noam the Gnome's name and takes the coin and gemstone. "I agree with Jack, if we're going to be taking on the magic armor, it would be best for to adamantine our melee weapons. I'm happy to donate my share of the reward gold for this, my glaive is magic on its own."
(Proceeding. If you think of other questions for Noam, we will adjust the timeline to ask them.)
Once the discussion is over, Noam heads back to his desk to continue the paperwork. Your party is left to exit, after picking up the coins on the table.
It is early afternoon when you arrive at the dwarf shop. It is busier than the last time you saw it, as there are a few customers browsing. More inventory on the shelves. (Trim sees a score of arrows. Jack and Isk notice backpacks hanging on the side displays. Slightly different styling than what they had previously, but well made.) The owner and the apprentices are covered in soot and sawdust, dashing from the workroom to tend to customers. (Now that they have access to their wood and ore supplies again, they are busy making more armor and weapons.)
The owner greets you. "I was a little worried when I didn't see you yesterday, but it is good to see you all back safe." (Notices Iskander as a new addition, but shrugs as it is none of his business.) "I made three offers for payment, but am open to something else of similar value. You didn't seem excited by splint mail... I could silver plate 2 weapons. If you don't have magic weapons, that comes in handy against were-boars and devils. Also good for ceremonies, to make the weapons gleam brighter... You seemed to be leaning towards the third offer: 2 suits of studded leather and one silver-plating. Have you decided?"
At this point, Jack asks about adamantine-plating. The owner frowns. "My payment offers were for items that I could make. Since my money is low at the moment, I wanted to make up the value with my craft... Adamantine is very rare and valuable. It is very difficult to work with, well beyond what a tiny shop like this can do. To my knowledge, there are only 3 places in the civilized world where this work is possible. One of them is in Nunkreet. If you like, I can put in your order on their waiting list. You would need 500 GP down-payment. It would be ready in 1 or 2 months, depending on when they get enough orders to (dragon) fire up their forges."

"Is there a reason why you are interested in adamantine weapons?"
For Trimyrai: a bundle of 20 arrows is 1 GP, so that (and the backpacks) might be part of the reward. (Let's wait and see what your group decides to get.) Pyrick is not sure what you mean by "specialized tips", but he does mention the existence of magical ammunition like Walloping Ammunition and Unbreakable Arrow, in addition to the +1/+2/+3 kinds of arrows. He doesn't have any in stock, but he could keep an eye out for anyone selling them.
