When initiative begins, the DM will roll for all players and NPCs to ensure that initiative is setup in good time.
When initiative is put into order, players may take their turn as long as it is before the next DM-controlled character.
Effectively turns can be interchanged. The only exceptions are for effects that would cause turn loss (being paralyzed or dying)
If the player is capable of taking their turn based on the above, and do not post for 24 hours after that time period is made available, the DM will auto-pilot the character until that player posts again.
Skill checks, attack rolls, etc.
When posting skills, abilities, saving throws, etc. Please put them on their own separate line, preferrably with a bold header. For example: Acrobatics:19 Longsword vs. Monster:11 vs. AC. Hit:1 slashing damage. Burning Hands: DC 12 Dexterity Saving Throw, 8 fire damage on a failure, half on a success.
Notes to the DM
If it is something that is for the game and not relevant to all players, put an @ with whom it concerns, then place in a spoiler.
If it is OOC and not relevant to the campaign, please refrain from posting on this thread and use PMs.
You finished your day as you do any other, setting out for some sleep that night. While you lay down to rest, a presence seems to call to you, beckoning you to awaken. Somewhere in this dream, you feel a chill touch grasp around your chest, causing you to cough and heave as if a terrible disease had taken a hold of you. The dream continues with such painful agony, but you manage to awaken yourself. However, you are not where you were resting. Not anymore...
You awaken in what appears to be a dreary and dirty medic's room. Looking around, there are four beds with old lumpy mattresses set out, each with a different person upon it, also waking up at the same time. You find yourself garbed in your adventuring gear, fully armoured with your weaponry and packs beside the bed. The room is dimly illuminated by candles in basic glass lamps upon dusty wooden beside tables. Surveying the rest of the room there appears to be a broken wooden bench, similar to a pew from a church, on the far side of the room. There is some noise of muffled voices coming from beyond the metal banded wooden door directly opposite the broken pew. The door appears to have been warped due to temperature and damp, as the smell of the rotting wood begins to pick up in the nostrils of the people presence.
The group awakening consists of two eladrin and two aarakocra, if the players would like to introduce their characters and a description of what their characters look like.
He looks around, searching for the company that he went with last night. Not finding any sign of them he looks at the 3 others and whispers "Hey, hey, you, what hap... where are we?"
Kysdove blinks her dark green eyes at the ceiling she finds above her. She tilts her head slightly as she finds it does not resemble the ceiling she had been looking at before falling asleep, though it is a good ceiling.
She lifts her head at the whisper to look at the other Eladrin, "Oh, hello there." she says at a normal volume and friendly tone.
Kysdove sits up and crosses her legs under her, sitting on the bed. Her skin is pale and her red hair is mostly a deep vibrant red but layers below have some lighter shades, like the mix of autumn leaves. She's not wearing any armour and her clothing is nothing fancy but well made and functional. She pauses to pull a small dry leaf from her hair and discard it.
Aurhook wakes with a start, jumps to his feet , draws his rapier and addresses the group "I don't know who you lot are, or what you want with me, but you'll find Aurhook is no easy target"
Kysdove smiles at Aurhook and sticks out her hand, "Hello, I'm Kysdove. Nice to meet you. I just woke up here too, no idea what's happening." she motions toward M'orron, "He is also very confused."

M'orron looks at Aurhook and says "Well if you arn't an easy target, go outside and see who is talking over there" while pointing at the door. "Clearly we've all been put here by some force. What is the last thing you remember before waking up?"
Whilst the group is talking, the muffled tones from outside go quiet for a few seconds, then another few tones are heard. (DC 15 Perception check if you want to work out what is being said.)
M'orron tries to focuse to the voices but can't make anything out of it. "Can you hear what they are saying out there" He says without looking at anyone particular
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Always a pleasure to meet such a beauty" Aurhook says with a nod "Admittedly this is an incredibly confusing situation, I suppose if you had wished me harm you'd have already tried something" "As for my most recent memory I was just bedding down for the night, clearly not here though" Aurhook approaches the door and listens
(Just for reference, DangaZon, you just at the +1 for Perception. 11 is your passive, which is like a defence against active checks, so it's 16 overall.)
Aurhook:
The aarakocra hears the following two tones. It sounds like a pair of women, the first sounding a little more elderly than the second.
"It sounds like they are awake."
"I guess I should go check on them."
"Make sure to take the tray with you, though make sure they don't strike you as soon as you enter like those last ones did."
Aurhook tells the group in a whisper "Sounds like two women are approaching the door and it would seem they know something about what's going on" "ready yourselves, we'll get some answers yet"
Kysdove beams at Aurhook at the compliment, "Aww, how sweet." she visually examines his feathers with some interest until he comments on the voices, "Do you think they are nice?" she asks hopefully, though still backs up behind one of the beds.

The party prepares themselves, M'orron readying a defensive spell and keeping his blade readied. There is a set of footsteps to stop just outside the door. There appears to be no attempt to quieten the steps, as there is then a gentle knock on the door. If you were slumbering, it is likely it would not have awoken you. After a couple of seconds after knocking the door slowly begins to be pushed open.
Kysdove watches M'orron and then blinks as if remembering something. She holds up a short rod in one hand and casts mage armor on herself as well, "Well, we could probably use some friends right now... is all I'm saying."
