Seeing no immediate threats around, Stan sheathed his weapons. "I wish for some food, a place to sleep, & a bath. I'm not sure we can find those here."
"Well that guard wasn't exactly helpful. I don't think we will find much here or be able to help much, but I want to talk to some of these people to see if I can't figure out where we might hunt some of these demons. Are you guys good if I take an hour to ask around to gather some information from the wounded here?" Lumin asks as the guard walks away.
"I'll come with you. I might be able to help with some of their injuries. But I'm afraid I'd just be treating symptoms of a greater problem." Leo readjusted his pack on his shoulder. He felt his wound through his clothes, hoping to determine if it had gotten better or worse.
Stan mumbles to the group, "This city stinks of desperation. Be careful & don't travel alone. People at the end of their rope will do cruel things to others just to make it through one more day. Be alert fellas."
Grungle sheathes his blade and awaits to be told what to do. He never was a take charge kind of person. He’s more muscle then brains. He can make decisions when he needs to but doesn’t want to take responsibility for things going sideways.
A huddled group of ragged men and women attempting to build a shelter out of sticks and blankets catch Lumin's eye. They are having little luck in their endeavor.
Leo has no recollection of ever encountering this disease in his travels. Those infected with the affliction suffer from yellow boils and their saliva is black.
Lumin, when you question them regarding their attackers they shudder and fall silent.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to leave this group as well. Recently my IRL has been getting more and more hectic, and I'm having to drop a lot of my groups. Sorry about this.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Many apologies if this campaign was disappointing. It appears we have lost at least four players, so I will be discontinuing the adventure. Thanks for playing, and Happy Holidays!

Leo, a few of the huddled figures who refrain from assisting in erecting the shelter seem to be afflicted by some disease.
Lumin, they greatly appreciate your help and from their scattered talk you ascertain that they hail from Nigh Ley, a farming settlement to the west.

Can they tell me what kind of creatures attacked them or where the creatures seemed to come from?
