Upon heading downstairs, John decides to start looking for the potential owner of the locket he found. He gives a smiling glance at his party to say "good morning" and immediately starts scouting the room: to see who is downstairs this morning.
Stan catches a few words here and there, 'tragic', 'poor souls', and 'a fitting burial' among them. John notices that the inn seems more crowded than usual; at least a dozen fisherfolk sit at tables throughout the room.
Zahim, your food and drink is brought presently by the innkeepers wife, who introduces herself as Rosmerta.
John decides to go sit down at the bar, and calls for the innkeeper's wife. "Excuse me, miss. May I please have some beer and some mutton, when you have a chance? I'd appreciate it.", he says. He assumes the lady doesn't get the respect she probably deserves so he tries to be as nice as possible.
"Of course." She dissapears and reappears a moment later with your order. Attempting to strike up a conversation she asks, " I trust you've heard the rumors? "
John exits the inn and a group of four men huddled in a tight group across the street, talking in hushed voices, immediately accost his eye.
John looks at the woman with a puzzled look. "What rumor? Not forgetting his manners, he also makes sure to thank the woman for the food and starts eating and drinking.
"Why, only last night a fishing boat sunk beneath the briny blue." She crosses herself. " Sol rest their souls. There were three men on the boat. Fancy, the sea was quiet as a sleeping babe last night, hardly a wave to be seen. How the boat sunk itself is a mystery to ourselves. "
"Not a single wave?", John asks, completely dazed by this bizarre information. "On a possibly related note, do you happen to know if one of these men were the owner of this locket I found?", John asks as he pulls the locket out of his pocket to show to the woman.
(My misttake I meant Zahim. I would really appreciate it if you changed your profile avatars or added your character names to your signatures. It would help me to remember.)
The woman takes the locket and looks at it intently. Then she giggles.
"I don't know whose this might be, but he's a lucky lad if this girl feels the same way for him as he does for her."
John smiles at the woman, as the thought of love is something that reminds him of the beauty of humanity. John then puts the locket back in his pocket, and thanks the woman for the information. (Well that amounted to a whole lot of nothing, but this thing about the dead fishermen is certainly interesting.....), John thinks to himself. John vigorously eats and drinks his meal before he then turns and notices Stan getting threatened by a bunch of fishermen, and heads over to his side. “Damn it, Stan....”, he mutters to himself as he walks over to his party member. He say to the fishermen, “Sorry if my friend here said something to upset you, but let’s not make a big scene, here. Let my friend and I just walk away and we won’t have any issues”. While talking, John puts his hand in the pocket his dagger is in, just in case he needs to use it, as you never know what’s going to happen. (Not gonna lie, I'm actually in the mood for a little fight this morning, it get's the blood flowing...........)
Having been mostly ignored by the innkeeper in regards to his question about flora, Leo went to bed. When he awoke, he attempted to rouse Hubert by shaking his shoulder. "Hubert, you gotta get up! It's morning! If you sleep the day away, you won't get to work on research!"
As Conrad sees nothing of interest going on at the inn that late into the night, he joins the rest of the party upstairs for the evening. After a peaceful nights sleep and feeling refreshed he saunders down for a morning bite. He watches as some of the party is heading outside whilst some are still coming down from the rooms.
"well that I can tell by the stink eye but I'm just curious as to why you're eyeing me I couldn't give a rats and about your other buisness. Also know with one yell i can have quite a few more of my friends out here if you try anything"

As Stan talks, John is standing there with a cocky half-grin, almost as if he's daring the fisherman to try something. (These dumbasses don't know that the son of the Reaper of Souls is present, and is more than willing to collect his debt.........), John thinks to himself.

It is Zahim, not Stan, who is in the street.
