(The next time you update the spreadsheet, Beegred took 6 damage from an opportunity attack early in combat.)
The purpose of the table is to allow reactions to happen. Each round shows the damage inflicted in that round. It could be theoretically 'undone' if some kind of reaction can negate it. Once the next round is complete, the previous round can't be changed.
I expect you all to track your damage and relay your status to your team. That being said, I track ALL damage in Roll20, so I know who has what HP.
I assigned Ront to you. BTW, there's one Javelin left on the ground by the ladder to the armory.
I will see if the new player wants to control Buppido before giving you three NPC's.
If the new plauyer doesn't want Buppido I'm willing to puppet another one as well, only have derendil atm so that'd give us each 2 instead of giving someone 3
Tozer absorbs the quaggoth's blow and feels the sting of his fresh wound. Deeply resenting the fact that he must do so, he disengages from the melee.
And where do you go?
Also, Eldeth will have to move to be able to be handed or pick up any weapons lowered or dropped from the armory above. Do you want her to move from G8?

I assigned Buppido to Xilyrah. After you roll to avoid grapple, you can act for Buppido as well. He's currently in the armory handing weapons down the trapdoor.
The quaggoth ... then moves to the last creature that hurt it and attempts to grapple (Xilyrah)
She is at L10. I don't see how it can reach her. (It can't move through an enemy mob like a halfling can.)

You're right. Something wrong with the tokens in Roll20. Topsy and Turvy are not showing up. Then it will move up to the spot vacated by Tozer and attempt to grapple Narstin.
The quaggoth have specific orders to follow and the one that repelled Derendil's shove attempts got hit square in the chest by an Eldritch Blast. With little room in their feeble minds to prioritize threats, it makes on claw attack at Derendil then tries to make its way to Xilyrah and tries to grapple Narstin to move him out of the way.
Claw Attack: 15 Damage: 6
Quaggoth grapple, Athletics check vs Athletics or Acrobatics: 24
Narstin roll Athletics or Acrobatics to counter the grapple.
Edit: Problem with my roll20. Tokens not showing up on my work browser... New grapple target is Narstin instead of Xilyrah.
Does that actually work? Wouldn't they either do an Attack action (using it for a grapple) or a Multiattack action (which specifically gives 2 claw attacks)? If they can both attack AND do a grapple/shove, I'd totally have been doing that on derendil too the last couple rounds...

PHB pg. 195: "If you're able to make multiple attacks with the Attack action, this attack (grappling) replaces one of them."
That also applies to shoving, so yes we should have had Derendil get extra claw attacks.
(I need to remember this for an Adventurer's League event next weekend.)
The difference is that the PHP is talking about the Attack action. Quaggoth specifically aren't using Attack. It's not like PCs that get Extra Attack which lets you perform multiple attacks when you take the attack action. Monsters (that get multiple attacks) have a separate actual action Multiattack that specifies what attacks they do with it (in the case of quaggoth, 2 claw attacks), hence my question.
I'm happy to play it however Kerrec wants to call it, just matters for how I run derendil (and like I said, he would have attacked as well as trying to shove the lsat couple rounds if I'd known it was an option. Or possibly tried to shove twice per round if allowed)
Well now, never ran into this question. In my mind, I always treated NPC multi-attack the same as PC Extra-attack. I googled and found nothing definitive. Only Mike Mearls' opinion, which is not cannon.
I would prefer to continue treating NPC multi-attack the same as PC extra-attack. So Derendil is owed 2 more claw attacks or 2 more shove aside attempts. One with advantage with Tozer's help (straight roll), and one without (disadvantage).
The Quaggoth that is currently trying to grapple Narstin (that avoided shove aside twice) arrived and did 6 damage to Derendil in Round 6 and another 6 damage in round 7. If you succeed to shove him the first attempt, I'll deduct 12 damage from Derendil. If the first fails and the second succeeds, I'll deduct 6 damage from Derendil and the grapple doesn't happen.
Let me know if you want to try 2 more shove asides, or want to do 2 claw attacks?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
That works. I'll just do claw attacks for both. Easier than trying to fix things (for instance, if the first shove succeeds, he doesn't need to shove at all the second round). I'lll just roll em here and you can update stats (same target as the shove attempts)

Tozer probably needs to disengage; one more salvo of quaggoth blows and he'll be dead.
And where do you go?

Eldeth moves to the foot of the ladder. Tozer to M11.
I’m willing to take on an NPC. 🤘🏻
It’s my first PBP campaign, but I’m a quick study.

Figures. I roll a way better athletics check this time for derendil and the quaggoth gets a natural 20.
Just trying to make a good impression.

Yup, all good
