Question for the DM: The space with the body of Wolena is probably difficult terrain. Can a character end their turn in that space, now that he is dead?

Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
You are in a fissure that is about 5 feet wide that goes up very high into darkness. The demon is holding onto the walls (both sides) with claws and talons.
The demon is size large (not correctly shown on map).
If he's large and it's 5 feet wide, is he squeezing (to have disadvantage and give us advantage)? Or does he have an ability that lets him not have to squeeze?
On your character sheet, in the space underneath AC/Initiative/defenses/conditions, you want to click on the "Extras" tab. You will see Jimjar (the DM added it). You can click on his name to get more information. That is how I knew he had poisoned darts and a war pick.
He can always
smack Xilyrah to get her involved in combat
use his 1/day ability blindness/deafness, except demons usually have advantage on spell saves

VanderLegion brings up an interesting question.
I'm fine if the DM rules that it is Large-but-not-that-Large, but I wouldn't mind it being affected by a tight space (starting next round). This demon will be enough trouble that I'll scrounge for anything that will help the group.

Well, it can't fly and hover outside of your melee range. It is dangerous and hasn't used some of it's main abilities yet, but you have still done over 50 damage to it (after resists). I don't think this will be a TPK although there may be a couple more deaths or close calls. But right now, other than Krizzibond who chose to stay in range, the only targets the demon has are NPC's.
Speaking of Rodolfo (who is doing most of the damage so far), after this combat he should get the wand of viscous globs from Xilyrah. (She won’t object.)

Couple of hard hits and one weak NPC death, but overall I probably made it easier than it needed to be by allowing the shuffling of the ranks.
The XP for the Vrock is 2300. Everyone but Xilyrah and Stool participated in the battle, so divide the total by 9 (Eldeth, Krizz, Beegred, Sarith, Jimjar, Derendil, Tozer, Narstin and Rodolfo) for a total of 256 xp each.
Still have some after effects, so initiative order has not ended.
How do we do the XP thingie? I've set it to milestone advancement, but I guess I can switch it to XP. I believe this might have been the first battle that Rodolfo was in? Except the balloon thingie, but I'm not sure that gave XP?
Hmm, the big floating eye that exploded should have been worth 100 xp (divided by 4). If I didn't award that, then add that as well. (For future reference, fighting and killing is not the only way to gain XP. Any dangerous type of encounter will award XP even if you find a way to not fight at all.)
As for adding XP, on your character sheet, there will be a little red triangle beside your character name on the character sheet. Click on that to produce a drop down menu and select 'Manage XP'. Enter the XP and accept.
@ Rodolfo: I have already changed your sheet from Milestone to XP.
Eldeth (or the others) is no longer stunned and gathers some of her spent arrows. (This is automatic, I deduct .5 arrows per shot. Unless the situation dictates that the arrow can't be retrieved.
(Beegred shot 4 arrows, so I subtracted 2.)
Beegred seethes at what Krizz suggests, but agrees. "I'd like to take out that Wolena-murdering demon while it is wounded, especially with my Hunter's Mark on it for the next hour. But since none of us can fly or know the local terrain, I see your point."
I track ammo separately because some of the NPC's have ammo but no character sheets. Per my notes, Beegred has 16.5 (so 17) arrows left. This may not be accurate as I sometimes forget to update the ammo. So worse case, you have more than you should.
I forgot about Hunter's Mark. When the last volley of arrows, darts and magic missiles hit, you heard the scream and your Hunter's Mark lost it's target.
I suggest we find a defensible spot and rest - that demon thing will find us obviously if it wants to so might as well make the best of this time to find someplace we can defend a bit better.

Ah yeah forgot I wasn't in melee range - and given our past interactions - having Derendil and Krizz jockey for position seems fitting hehe

Krizz was set the same way - I just switched to XP which gives you the base XP for level 3 and then I told it to add 256

All done with this encounter and the aftermath? There's nothing left to resolve after Sarith is cured of his poisoned condition.
Do I remove the wand from Xilyrah's character sheet? Rodolfo has equipped it?

Agree with Krizz: find a better defensible spot nearby, then short rest.
For #3, I would vote yes on the wand transfer (I suggested it), but Winenose needs to speak up if that is okay for Rodolfo.
