EBERRON TALES: OMEGA
Lyreis was finishig ending to pack his things, and getting ready to continue his journey through the Towering Woods. The morning was cold in that autumm morning, but the woods were quiet. He looked around. Too quiet indeed. Then he heard it. A scream nearby.
Hurosk had been tracking the creature for three days now. Driven mad by a poisonous wound made by a sloppy hunter, she had been crossing the woods attacking everything she found in her way. He had hoped to reach her before she found more unaware people, ike those woodcutters he found two days ago. Wasn't pretty. The scream that crossed the woods confirmed him that perhaps he could not be late this time.
Crossing the road from Greenheart to Nien, Moltaris was making a good time that morning. She was thinking that the Wardens of the Wood did a really good job keeping the woods safe for she had a nice trip so far. With some birds chipring in the canopies above, the rumor of running water of a stream nearby and the ocassional critter that ran to the protection of the forest when she approached, he was having quite a pleaseant morning until the scream scared the birds away.
Min had passed the night in a clear not far from the road, with a clear stream crossing it from wich she was drinking when suddenly the branches of the oaks in front of her exploded in a miriad of splinters and leafs and a huge creature with grey fur, inmense claws and a beak stained with dry blood looked at her with angry yellow eyes, raising in two legs the creature was more than 8 feet high. She screamed.

Hurosk: 7 (7)
Hearing the scream echo through the woods, the head half-orc of Tharashk snaps in the direction of the cry for help and picks up his pace. "Dol Dronn, please don't let me be too late!"Hurosk deftly nocks an arrow as he runs towards the scream. The symbol of The Sovereign Host and a tribal looking mark of a sword and shield on his forearm faintly glows as he hurries through the forest.
Terrified, Min screams out "Oh my Gods!!! Help! Someone please help!"
As she does so, she summons her Scimitar, glinting faintly with the look of pure silver, and attacks 2 times after applying her Hex (STR Checks).
Attack: 27 Damage: 13 and Attack: 19 Damage: 16
She thrusts her blade at it 2 times, more in fear of being hurt herself then actually wanting to harm the creature. She screams again, in terror that she is being thrust back into combat once again. "Please! Someone!!! Anyone!!!"
Moltaris hears the scream from just beyond a patch of thicket, and she runs towards the noise, already drawing her blade and murmuring an incantation as she approaches the standing owlbear!
Rapier Attack: 25 Damage: 5
If the rapier attack hits, Molly will Channel Divinity and apply 15 additional necrotic damage to the attack
A purplish-black sickle appears near the owlbear and lashes down on it!

With two swift strikes the silvered scimitar cuts throught the fur, flesh and muscle of the creature, wich roars in pain.
Now everyone in the vicinity hears the roar of a huge creature in the woods. For the volume of it, it must be closer that they thought when they heard the scream.
Molly stabs, slashes, and blasts the owlbear for 29 damage (5 piercing, 15 necrotic, 9 force).

Hearing the sounds of battle nearby Lyreis calls on a lifetime of martial experience and runs to the threat, unslinging his double-bladed scimitar from it's sheath across his back as he does so. Moving in the near silence of all elves he comes upon a chaotic scene but taking it all in he sees the owlbear bleeding heavily and at least one wounded person nearby, closing the final distance he vaults towards the creature aiming a flurry of attacks towards the face of the large beast hoping to distract it long enough for everyone to regroup.
Hurosk breaks through the trees and a look of confusion comes over his face. A strange group of adventurers has themselves the owlbear he has been tracking the last few days. He shakes his curiosity over the scene - there will be time for questions later, and raises his longbow. The half orc releases two arrows, carefully threading his shots between the others.
Min calls out as the group of people start fighting this creature attacking her, "Thank the gods! Thank you so much. Why is this thing attacking me?" She says in a panic, keeping her blade between her and the creature.
"Bloodthirsty creatures hunt women everywhere. Some are even monsters," Moltaris growls in reply, her blood flowing from the leg wound.

The sudden apperance of another threat, stabbing her and making her more of that weird, cold damage, seemed to make the beast more angry.
She moved her two claws towards Moltaris, and drop to her four legs, just trying to bite Min with her beak!
Claw attacks to Moltaris:
Attack: 24 Damage: 19
Attack: 19 Damage: 19
Beak attack to Min
Attack: 21 Damage: 16
The cleric dodges the first claw, but the second one got her in one leg as the beast descend and makes her a deep cut on it.
Min was able to jump away in time to avoid the great beak that closed with strength mid-air.
( Lyreis and Hurosk then Ary )

Having watched the conflict through the trees from their vantage above Ary comes down the tree silently from a distance crossbow drawn.
"I think it's bewitched," Ary shouts then fires.
Attack: 26 Damage: 9
Ary then hides back in the trees.

Some of the party with a good vantage simply sees a brown cloaked figure in the forest nearly blended in with their surroundings.

OOC: is the owlbear still up, or is it dead?
OOC: Unless it's robo-bear lol it died surely after Lyreis attack. Ary's was a simple last blow before dying lol
