Glynquinal queries Toblen, "Toblen, have you heard anything about where they might have been operating out of? We need to be sure we find their main camp or base and end their threat. Then we can get back to searching for our friend Gundren. We're still no closer to finding out what happened to him."
Toblen thinks for a moment. "The only place I know they hang out is at the Sleeping Giant. They just seem to appear in town."
Then ...
"Gruxx," Rock responds, "all they have to do to hide is pack their red clothes away. If the townspeople don't know then we won't know about it, anyone could be one!"
Toblen shakes his head. "We know them. Most have been here in town a while. Even before they started wearing those red cloaks, we knew their faces. Phandalin's not a big city. Everybody knows everybody. If one of them showed up — even without one of those cloaks — we'd know them." Toblen turns to return to the bar, but then turns back. "You know, Sildar Hallwinter might know something. He was all around town yesterday talking to people. He really seems to be trying to bring some order to Phandalin. Who knows what he found out."
As the party is standing to leave the Stonehill Inn, Ian turns to Mirna and family and asks, "Are you feeling ok? Will you be safe here? If you wish to stay here up in my room until you feel comfortable, you are welcome to. Or if you have a friend you feel safe with, I can escort you to their home if you would prefer that."
Mirna smiles weakly at the rogue. "We'll stay here. Do you know how long you'll be? I'd really like to bury Thel as soon as possible. It all feels so ... unfinished."

The party leaves the Inn and heads north one street and then east toward the Sleeping Giant. When they reach the building, they find it closed.
The door is locked, and when Glynquinal says so, he jumps back just in time to avoid Gruxx's kick.
STR check: 14
The door splinters and almost gives way. One more kick, and the entryway is clear. The group enters to find a small tavern. It has just a couple tables and a galley-style kitchen in the back. As the group is milling about inside, they hear a voice in the distance yelling. Through the couple windows, they can see a dwarven woman approaching at a half run. She does not look happy.
Glynquinal if no false doors are found will take a look around to see if there are any clues to where Redbrands might be.
It seemed like when we were in the underground section the stairs had to come up somewhere, and this would seem a likely place the way the Redbrands were lounging around when we first met them.
Glynquinal does find a trap door in one corner of the small kitchen. Opening it, he looks down into what appears to be a very short cellar only about five feet tall. From this angle, he can't see anything but a small section of the floor.
Ian and Herr Doktor step outside and Gruxx blocks the doorway as the dwarf stomps up to them.
"Excuse me ma'am, what is wrong?" Ian asks.
Herr Doktor adds, "Entschuldigung sie, bitte. What is the problem, madame Frau? Perhaps we may be of assistance to you if you inform us why you are so distraught."
"Tavern's closed," Gruxx adds.
The woman scowls at the three. "You tell me the tavern's closed. I know it's closed. I closed it! You broke into my tavern! What do you think you're doing?!"
Glynquinal drops down the short distance to the dirt floor of the cellar. Almost squatting (it is in fact only about five feet tall), he takes a few awkward steps away from the trap door and looks around the dark cellar. It appears to be a store room for the tavern. It is only about 20x20. There are half a dozen small ale casks; a couple large barrels of some of cheap spirits; a few crates of beans and crackers; a half-empty crate with a couple very dusty bottles of cheap wine; and a sack of flour. Rock attempts to follow Glynquinal in, but the size of the opening prevents him from getting any further in than his armpits.
"You been feedin' these Redbrand folk and makin' them comfortable then? Times are changing. Redbrands are out. Are you goin' out with them or are you done helpin' em?"
The dwarf steps up onto the porch, pushing in between Ian and Herr Doktor to face Gruxx. She narrows her eyes at the human, looking unafraid and very defiant. "Coin's coin," she tells him directly. "Those men chose to sit at my tables, drink my drink, and eat my food. They caused me no trouble, and I caused them no trouble. What they did outside my tavern was no concern of mine. But I paid for this tavern, and I stock it, and I prepare the food and drink. You have no claim and have no right to be here. Now, leave, or I'll report you to Townmaster Wester." She looks at the state of the front door. "And I'll thank you for enough coin to fix what you've broke!"
Glynquinal seeing Rock trying to follow him laughs some. Handing him a small keg of ale for his troubles, he leaves the small space.
Going outside, he watches the end of the interaction between Gruxx and the Dwarven woman.
"Friend Gruxx," Glynquinal offers, "Perhaps we should retain possession of the inn for a while to make sure the message is sent to the Redbrands they are no longer welcome here."

The woman opens her mouth to respond to Glynquinal when Ian cuts in, "Do you support the Redbrands in any way? Do you know where they are now?"
"Support? The only one I support is myself. I provide food and drink to whoever has coin," she growls. "Be they wearing red cloaks or not. I don't tell no one who can pay their bill they can't come in. And, no, I don't know where they are. If they ain't here, they ain't my concern." She looks back at Glynquinal. "If you're staying here, you're paying to repair my door, and you'll be buying food and drink, too!" She looks around the group. "What's it gonna be? You gonna put coin in my hand, or am I fetching the Townmaster?" She holds out said hand, palm open expectantly.
