OOC: DM note: You're in a dungeon. Attempting to spend eight uninterrupted hours in a dungeon is inadvisable. Trouble is likely to find you.
The woman stares at Glynquinal's flask for a moment before excepting it. She waves an arm at the boy, and he hurries over to her, standing very close to her just as the adolescent girl is doing. The three share the flask briefly before the woman gives it back to Glynquinal. As the kids are drinking, she tells Herr Doktor they are Mirna, Nilsa and Nars Dendrar. "We were dragged from our beds almost a tenday ago after they murdered my husband. We think ..." she pauses to look at her children, who look back at her with worry. "We think they're planning to sell us." When she sees the group preparing to bed down, she begins to swell. "You're not just going to camp here," she objects. "There are Redbrands everywhere. We're not safe here. They have a wizard," she says finally, as if to punctuate her warning.
Rock to the woman,"How did they bring you n here, the way we came is not save to take you back out, if you know a different way then we would be better off taking it!"
Glynquinal shares a look with the woman as he gives her a broad smile, "There are not quite as many Redbrands as there were before. We have ended almost 2 dozen of them, but I may have missed 1 or 2 along the way. We have been busy."
Shifting uncomfortably from his wounds, Glynquinal thinks about what she has said with Redbrands all around and a Wizard on the loose still. Perhaps there is a way to get back across the broken floor more easily than when they passed by the first time.
Glynquinal adds, "Perhaps there is wisdom in what she says. A short rest perhaps, and then an escape from here to heal and regroup might be in order."
When Rocks asks, "How did they bring you in here? The way we came is not save to take you back out. If you know a different way then we would be better off taking it!", Mirna seems to notice the large dragonborn for the first time. She looks a little taken aback, then blusters on. "They threw sacks over our heads when they took us from our beds," she tells him, "so I'm not sure, but it seems like we were dragged quite a ways through town, then outside of town, through a tunnel, and then a pretty big room, and then some smaller rooms before we ended up here. They did make sure we had on those red cloaks at one point. Not sure why."
Glynquinal shares a look with the woman as he gives her a broad smile. "There are not quite as many Redbrands as there were before. We have ended almost two dozen of them, but I may have missed one or two along the way. We have been busy."
Mirna gives Glynquinal an appraising look. "Well, I don't like to speak ill of the dead, but good riddance. Those thugs have been terrorizing Phandalin for too long." Emotion begins to affect her voice. "When I think about what they did to my Thel —" She can't continue, and the two with her begin to cry as well.
"Glynquinal tells her, "The red cloaks seem to have been a ward against the guards that were placed on the dungeon. After a short rest, perhaps Ian and I can scout ahead to see if we can find another way out of here."
Rock to party "a short rest will help Grux recover and move better, If our plan is to get them back safe them we should move as fast as possible to get them back to town."
As the others get settled for rest, Ian asks the captives I heard you were brought in with sacks over your heads. Did they uncover you once you got in here or sooner? is there anything else you can tell me about what goes on in here, or how many different redbrands you have seen since they brought you in? Anything at all would be helpful.
Mirna doesn't look happy about the short rest, but holds her tongue against speaking anymore about it. She wraps her arms around the young ones, glad to be in the presence of both. "The sacks were removed in here. I'm not sure about how many guards. They all look very similar. Humans —" she begins.
"There's those tall, furry monsters with big ears,” Nars adds quietly.
"Well, yes," his mother concedes. "But we only saw them once. The rest of the time, they are human males younger than middle aged ... dirty." She pauses, then shrugs. "I don't know how many there are. It seems like they're everywhere."
"Like rats," Nilsa adds.
OOC: The party can go ahead and hit the short rest button and use as many hit dice as they have available and would like to use.
Glynquinal will retrace his steps, to the room where the tiles covered a trap and see if there is a safe way to get the captives as well as the party across. To Gruxx. "I'm feeling better now. I have an idea how to get across that trapped floor safely if you would care to lend a hand."
As long as nothing happened during the short rest, Ian takes down his noise-maker traps, and returns Glyn's bell to him.
Ian says to Glynquenal Glyn, if its not too heavy and if its long enough, maybe we could use one of the Sarcophagus lids to try and span the hole in the ground and walk across?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
To Glyn Actually, we may want to see if we can free these prisoners before doing anything else... (OOC, unless we already did that and I just missed it.)
If it hasnt been done yet, Ian will attempt to free the prisoners.

The Herr Doktor Professor agrees that the party should take a rest here.
"Wie hieBen sie, bitte," he asks the prisoners. "What are your names?"

Ian replies A short rest is good. I will keep an eye out
Ian still makes the noise traps on the two sets of doors.
Gruxx grunts and says
"If we have to push onward I can do it. No matter what I'll be fine."
Gruxx goes to rise then sits back down.
"But if we could just shut our eyes for just a second I think I'd move a bit faster."

OOC The party takes a short rest.
"Thank you, Rock. I appreciate it.", says Gruxx.
When short rest is confirmed I will roll Hit Die.

Glynquinal Short rest healing 6
Rock to Grux, How you doing? Are you able to run and play again?
"How are you doing Glyn? Feeling better?
Short Rest Hit Dice(None Remaining for future): 16
Gruxx shakes his head and breathes in the air his eyes go wide.
"I'm feeling great! It's amazing what a little rest can do for ya!", says Gruxx.
Gruxx turns toward the others.
"Should we focus on gettin' these fine folks to safety?"
