Arilynia can hear the fighting in front of her but unable to provide any assistance in anyway, somewhat aggravated; she takes the brief moment to calm herself and puts her keen half elf ears to good use.
The last Ogre falls to Bastion and you all head towards the exit. As you round the corner you can hear a rubbling sound coming from up ahead. Noone saw anything coming up behind them.
Kixarn readies a thunderstone in his hand, his options for defense and attack running very low. The subtle aura of the previous protection spell still hums around him, but won't last for long.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
When you get to this room (indicated on the map) you see a lot of dust in the air. When you try going through the narrow hallway back up you will find it blocked from a collapse. (Dark gray area on the map) What do you wish to do now?
Bastion swings is sword in the room where he was hoping to cut through to another room but after making a hole five foot deep he can see nothing but solid stone.
Bastion curses as he sees the blockage, "So that's what she meant. All right, it seems we are going to have to find another way out, or at the least eliminate the threat so we have time to make one. If need be I'll carve us a tunnel all the way to the surface, but that is going to take a long time. We are obviously not in good shape to go back down into that pit right now. Let's stop, get some rest, and take care of the captives as best we can. Anyone have particular suggestions?"
Apparently we have been walking down a 40% slope this entire time, kn says 20%, but his math's off, Regardless of the actual number, somehow the point I was trying to break through is officially more than 100' below the room I was trying to break into. Kn went on to assure me that digging out the blockage was not remotely feasible. Obviously we're not meant to escape right now. I deleted my last post, since there's no way in heck we'd have missed a 20+% slope in character and would from there have no reason to think that we could break through like that.
"I agree with you Bastion we aren't in the best shape to go deep into the pit. We, can take a rest here in the room. But, obviously two of us should take turns being on watch at a time until the morning," Rivoril suggests.
"If we rest, I can pray for the spirits to make the stone soft and malleable," Avan suggests. "Do not fear, we are not trapped here forever. It just tonight we can't get out.
"However, I would hate for our protective spells to wear off and again be vulnerable to an ambush with those things ability to possess men. I think we should attack after resting quickly and tending to our wounds with spells. Well, those of us who can," He looks at Ghanima with a quizzical look. "What manner of curse makes you recoil from pure, life-giving, healing energy?"
"I was wondering about that myself. I have my own troubles with such magic, but in my case it is merely less effective then normal, not something that harms."
Kixarn hears the discussions going on around him and pips up tentatively "That's not a normal, to be harmed by heal and healed by harm? Where I was growing up - imprisoned - there were many who had that. Those who draw from the negative to exist, mostly. Some even nice beings who healed me after father time." Kixarn looks over at Katherina, interested in her answers.

Katherina looks at them sadly and then away. " I am cursed. I apologize for not saying so sooner Sometimes i am not exactly welcomed by people. " She opens her mouth and lengthened incisors are visible. " I am of the dhampir. My mother was human....my father is a vampire. His blood flowing through me causes healing energies to harm me instead. I hate him for what he did to my mother. That is the reason i am here with all of you. i live to hunt down those like my father who view people like cattle. " She has her arms at her side to not appear threatening in any way.
" So...should i leave? Many do not trust me. That is why i keep my heritage a secret. It is who i am though and can not be changed. " Her shoulders slump forward in weariness.
Seeing the distress, Kixarn pulls back his own hood, revealing the tiny horns, red eyes and silver hair, sympathizing . "I am Teifling - child of devil and human. Past doesn't define me. I am myself and not other and choices made are my own. My choice also has evil father who needs slaying for mother death and 11 years of torture. We all stories have to tell and make us quest. My own spells show good and not evil, regardless of heritage."

Ghanima giggles. "So, it is show and tell time?" Ghanima pulls down her hood to looks up to reveal brilliant alabaster skin, silver shining hair and deep blue eyes that twinkle like stars. Tell tale signs of her divine heritage. "My mother was an elf and my father ... was not. I never met him, but I have traveled from the western kingdoms with Mielikki as my guide to prove that I walk a different path and not to follow in his shadow. Just as I do not judge you," she said looking at Kat, "by your parents, neither do I expect anyone to judge me by mine. You all came here one way or another for a noble purpose." She says while comforting the fatigued women. "That is enough for me."
Katherina knows they are not away safely yet and uses her finely honed senses to determine if anyone is behind them.

"That doesn't sound good, keep moving people, not much further." Bastion stays at the front, blade ready for any more threats to their progress.

Katharina pushes on ahead with the others. She makes sure to stay in the middle of the party in her weakened condition.
Rivoril, also forges ahead his composite bow out ready for danger. Searching for traps along the way.

Rivoril, sees the plan of Bastion and stands guard outside the room between AB36 and AG41. He, stands alert with his composite bow ready and armed.
Arilynia will join Rivoril with her bow at the ready, she will move to let others get into position as needed.
