After several more minutes in the bath, Perry hears a growl coming from his stomach. He stands up but has some amount of difficulty seeing clearly due to all the steam in the vicinity. "I need to go get some food. I just need to find my...."
At this point, Perry realizes his fatal mistake. He forgot his towel. "No matter," he says, "I can just dry myself off with magic and put on my...."
That's when he notices that his bathrobe has also gone missing...
Poljen thanks Winter and Summer, "And be sure to pass on our thanks to your masters. Please also tell them we will return, to see if we can persuade them to join our cause. Defeating this one army is but a small setback for the forces of Tiamat. They might even return to once more assault your master's stronghold."
When Velon is going to report to Irdeith and Chasorth, the barbarian says, "Make sure to ask if they can, fix, I suppose, Cyanwrath's weapon so we can put it to better use."
Finally, he heads straight to the kitchen and dining room. He sits down with two large platters of food and begins shoveling food into his mouth, not bothering about manners. He muses, {Well, at least I don't have to listen to Lia or Perry chastise me for my lack of manners.} He is setting down his large pitcher of ale and sees...a beautiful woman enter the room, and for a moment does not recognize her. Then he realizes this is Morgaine, and he stares, slack-jawed...he is too stunned to speak at first...
Cratol spends some time in his room cleaning up before thinking about dinner. Beating most of the dirt from his clothing he heads back down to get a nice dinner. He sits at a table a little bit apart from the others so as to not offend them with his clothes.
Lia congratulates the crew upon a job well done . She then smiles at the other members of the Blaze . " Another battle and another great victory. I am so proud of all of you. Taking leave of the others she smiles at Velon . Running her hand along his arm she whispers, " Well done brave warrior. Later you shall receive reward from Sune ." Winking at him she heads to their room .
She takes a long, hot bath as the stresses of their adventures are washed away . She later stands in front of her mirror brushing her long Raven locks. After finally being satisfied that her appearance is satisfactory, she puts on perfume. It's sweet fragrance puts a smile on her face. Lia then begins praying to her goddess, both thanking her for her aid thus far and also beseeching her future favor. She has a mischievous look visible on her face as she thinks about Velon afterwards .
Mari knows that there is much left to do win this struggle . She goes to the courtyard and works ceaselessly on her many combat forms. Her face is stoic as she ignores any pain and keeps working . Mari strives for perfection as she knows that increases her chance to survive this war.
Perry panics as he can't find his clothes. Then, it dawns on him. He knows who did this. Perry yells, "LIZ, LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZ, BRING BACK MY ROBE!"
He cracks the door open just enough to stick his head out and peer down the hall. He sees a small figure skitter away and barely catches sight of a small green tail rounding the far corner. He covers himself with his hands and angrily chases after the mischievous kobold.
"GET BACK HERE, LIZ, YOU LITTLE RASCAL!"
He chases the green kobold, cutting through the courtyard and over to the other side of the castle halls. He pays little attention to anyone who may currently be there working on combat forms.
Eventually he corners the kobold. "Give it," Perry demands of the kobold. Liz snickers, then hands Perry the robe. He puts it on and ties the bathrobe, "Honestly Liz, that's so childish. Anyway, since you're here, how is the dragon playpen coming along?"
With regard to the stone, Velon listens to Lawrance and responds "well, I imagine you'll be busy getting to know your new...friend... so perhaps we'll put our backs to it to help the cause." "Captain, I know your men have worked hard today, but perhaps a few hours of refilling the wagons with the stone from the field is best. Perhaps no more than an hour per man? They will all receive a few days off from hard work once we are headed to our next destination, with the exception of a few of the regular guard postings and, ah, of course any dragon attacks or the like." At that he winks at the Captain. "Oh, and to your point, I guess we won't worry about the fleeing bands if all they threaten for now is Thay. Thank you."
Velon is impressed with the gifts from Winter and Summer, thanking them sincerely, of course. "Well, I guess we'd better find the best way to use this goosebuster, eh? Lawrance, Perry, have you arcane means to get this close enough to a dragon, or should we rig up some sort of firing mechanism for it?" Also, who would like to hold this Wish rod? Perry? Lia? Wiiiizzzard? You all seem well suited, based on your combat tactics. We should probably discuss our many options with this thing some time very soon."
Eager to report to their dragon friends, Velon invites Poljen, and anyone else interested, of course, to join him in the control room. He activates the portal, asks for Irdeith or Chasorth and, pending an unusual response from whoever greets them, fills them in on their efforts at this wizard tower. He also asks about converting Cyanwrath's weapon for Poljen.
As always, Velon grows red faced when Lia mentions his reward for later in public. He mostly smiles and nods. After grabbing a quick meal in the dining hall and talking to Irdeith, Velon will ask to be taken to the ground on the platform and help the work crews reload some of the stone, watching the tree line for enemies all the while but still cheerfully chatting with the men about the day's events. He can put his strength belt to good use on some of the larger but still manageable blocks. He'll work for an hour like the rest before returning to finally take off his new armor, get cleaned up, and find Lia. On his way, he stops dead in his tracks, swearing he saw a nude tiefling running down the hall, but quickly dismisses it in favor of thoughts of Lia in similar attire...
After eating a good meal Cratol will go down and help load rocks for a couple hours so we can once again have a good storage of stone to drop on people once again.
He will listen to where others wish to go next as he thinks to himself that he has a Treant he needs to get back to and let him know the quest to rid the world of a evil vile stick has been a success.
Other than that he will spend a lot of time with his girlfriend
"Hmm, I can animate the goose buster to get it close or maybe fly it over somehow," Perry responds to Velon on how to deliver the buster. When offered the Wish rod, Perry's eyes light up with sparkles as he raises his hand enthusiastically, "Oh, pick me, pick me, pick me! I will be super responsible with it I promise. Bard's honor!"
---
Meanwhile, some time after the bath incident. Perry puts on some clothes and decides to go grab some food while the rest of the party is enjoying dinner. He stands in the front center of the room and addresses the whole Blaze, "Everyone, if I may have your attention for a moment please! I would like to introduce a new friend who is joining the team."Then, the bard whistles a whistle that echoes throughout the dining hall and almost feels as if it reverberates off the walls. The sound echoes for several seconds.
All goes quiet.
Suddenly, some noise can be heard coming down the hallway to the dining area, "Clop, clop, clop, clop, clop." Trotting into the the dining hall is a beautiful white Pegasus. It comes directly up to Perry and nuzzles its head into his shoulder. Perry smiles the widest smile you've ever seen as he pats it's neck, then proudly says, "Shadowsnacks, he's the Prince of All Horses and he will be my friend through many dangers."
Morgaine sees Poljen at the table but doesn't say anything to him, she gets a plate of food and sit near him and eats her meal. She glances his way and smiles a few times, but still says nothing as she enjoys her meal. She hopes he will engage is some conversation, but she doesn't push the issue.
When Perry enters the room, she listens to his speech and upon seeing the winged horse; she is shocked to see such a beautiful creature. It shows in her eyes that she thinks it is so, yet she says nothing to anyone.
Lawrance, having taken a break from his work with Aisling in his labs, is sitting at the table, eating distractedly a variety of foodstuff. His plate a scattered, random assortment of items, he is slowly eating his way through it, exploring the puzzle box Perry gifted him. Checking it's corners, it's edges and it's sides, he tries slowly turning it over, listening for any revealing noises. When Perry makes his announcement about his new companion, he snorts, imagining what it's going to look like with a Teifling aboard a Pegasus, flying to the rescue.
After Perry's announcement, a soft female voice calls out loudly "If he means so much to you, have you composed a song about him yet?"
%Aisling, SHHH!% Lawrance 'paths with a snicker.
"Sorry, Aisling's a bit rude. The entire time she was carried by the archmage, she was told to shut up."

Mari looks in shock at the naked tiefling racing across the courtyard. She drops her sword in surprise. Shaking her head she recovers the sword and continues working .
After bathing and cleaning up Mari walks to the dining hall robed in a loose fitting black dress. Her daggers are strapped to her thighs under the dress . She has a couple of drinks and then sees Perry riding a Pegasus into the Hall. She looks at her drink wonderingly. She looks back at Perry with brows raised. " Perry, where did you get your friend? The truth . Shadowsnacks. " She tries not go laugh ." That sounds oddly familiar. "
"Hey Mari," Perry replies. Once she asks about where Perry got Shadowsnacks, the expression on his face turns more serious and nostalgic as he recalls the encounter. "When I first set off on my own, I wanted nothing more than to prove myself to my family. I wanted to show Mom and Dad that I could be like my sister Lilliana, strong and independent. Haha, but I wasn't, at least not back then anyway. So I left home, and decided to travel the world. One day I got lost, and found myself in a dark forest. While I was there, I accidentally passed through a hidden magical gate, a mirrored version of our world. The next thing I knew, I found myself trapped somewhere wild and beautiful. It was a whole world where there was no civilization as I knew it and the time of day was always dusk. But it was far from a good place Mari, and the most beautiful things there were often the most dangerous. I once went temporarily blind just for picking a beautiful flower. It was a terrifying place, and I couldn't trust anyone or anything. I was alone, trapped."
Perry pauses for a moment, then continues, "In my darkest hour, I was hungry but managed to find a cave to rest. I cried through the "night." I just wanted to go home. I couldn't tell how long I had been there since it was always dusk. In there, alone in that cave, is where Shadowsnacks found me. He's a fey spirit you see, and he led me out of that darkness and to a safe place. There was food, water, and even people. I thought it too good to be true, as deception riddled the Feywild, but it wasn't. This was real. He had led me to an elven settlement where I found safety, shelter, and comfort for the first time in what seemed like forever. He was my guardian when I was most in need and is my best friend. I've grown strong enough now to call him here to this plane."
He turns back to face Mari, and asks, "What do you think?" He smiles, "Wanna ride?"

Mari grins as she listens to Perry share his story about Shadowsnacks. " Let's go. I would love to go for a ride on a Pegasus. I'm in awe of him. He is so pretty. "
Lawrance listens with interest to Perry's tale, curious. When it wraps up, he leans back and sips at his heated cider.
