Torq will fly west and slightly north as far as he can and expend the last two charges of his axe to send a line of lightning down towards the southern line of zombies attacking the orcs. Alexandria and Juliana will head NE until their in line with the northern ogre zombie and land to attack the zombies recklessly
Jinara and Mucor release their bursts of radiant energy burning away the zombies caught in the blast while Gaelin and Valeera down the southern ogre zombie and lacerate the northern one. Alexandria, Juliana and the griffons arrive from the south just in time to down the northern ogre zombie before it can bury its club into the unconscious ogre as well as strike down multiple zombies. Aryn quickly cuts through the zombies around her but one that was severed in half swipes at her leg cutting into her calf as she runs west. Torq feels the rotted hands pluck feathers from his back as he takes off into the air. He ignores the pain and slams his axe down into the ground causing a concentrated blast of lighting to roll across the field consuming the zombies caught in its wake. The army group rushes in and with your aid manage to save all but one life.
(Assuming Mucor drops his turtle spell...)
As you work to clear out the zombie corpses a few drekthar begin to twitch and show the first signs of consciousness. The army groups quickly surround the drekthar forces in a passive defense formation. Weapons are drawn but held at the side rather than out. A few soldiers bicker back and forth over whether they should just kill them all when an officer shouts an order and the field goes silent. You see an orc in ornate half plate armor from within the ranks of soldiers step forward as some of the orcs groggily rise to their feet. Others wake and immediately snap up in a defensive stance at the sight of the surrounding soldiers and huge dragon staring at them. The orc begins to speak to his fellow drekthar in their native language and you see the orcs tense then over time begin to relax and drop their weapons. The three ogres are the last to lower their weapons approaching rage at the sight of so many foes but seeing the reactions of the others they too become docile. They all line up and begin their escort to the city. You over hear snide remarks and insults directed at the drekthar forces being muttered as the soldiers walk by.
Anyone who speaks orcish:
"Put your weapons down and be at ease brothers and sisters. Our minds were poisoned by an evil mage. We have been released from this prison of nightmares and received mercy by the ones who now surround you. Too much has been lost in this great war. Let us return to our homes and rebuild.
(If the zombie hadn't rolled a nat 20 on the killing blow I'd say yes, but unfortunately you can't save the one. That's actually the only reason y'all lost one. )
Aryn will use her helm to cast Comprehend Languages to listen to the orc. If she heard the soldiers who were throwing insults she'd pull out a few ball bearings and thump them on the head with em. (Let me know if I need to roll anything. It would be non lethal.)
Mucor would frown at losing one of the orcs, looking to the orcs companions and if none of them seem to object, he would cast mold earth and gently churn the earth around the dead orc until it's body gently sinks under the soil. "What now..." Mucor would ask.. turning to his companions as the single dead orc is buried.
"I suppose you are right.." Mucor would reply to Aryn as he shakes his large horned head and gives her a smile. "It is a shame we could not save them all" He would add as he moves next to the elf.
Gaelin will explain what the orc said telepathically then add, "Though I think the Drekthar may get mistreated when they enter the city, they'll be relatively safe but there's probably a lot more elsewhere to save."
You all watch for a minute or so as the army walks by escorting the Drekthar before you take off into the sky heading towards the Aurora. You see the army below you continue but slow as heads turn to catch a final glimpse of the Lightbringers. You climb higher and higher into the sky reaching the deck of the Aurora and land as crews of mages assist you. Valeera changes back into her human form and the ship gratefully bounds upward a few feet with the reduced weight. You return to the captain's quarters to find Varian once again standing on the private deck looking over the battlefield. He turns and enters through the ornately carved double doors and nods saying, "Well done. Now... Let's chat."
Varian motions for you to join him at the large rectangular table with maps, plates and utensils strewn across it. "I'm sure you heard or saw discontent from many soldiers. It's the same across both continents. Luckily, most listen to orders... some however have allowed their emotions to get the best of them and have murdered unarmed orcs and goblins while they were asleep int heir camps. Others have tried to set fire to the camps. Thankfully, the Drekthar have yet to rebel or try to escape. These are all very specific and small cases but I fear this feeling of hatred will only perpetuate itself..." His face brightens a bit at a hopeful thought and he continues. "You fought well and deserve a quick break while we make our way to the next battle. Please stay and eat. We will arrive in Duskmire in about 2 hours." As he finishes he waves his hand and the table illuminates with arcane magic. The maps roll themselves up, except for one that floats up and returns to a large empty frame on the wall. The table is bare for a split second before plates, cups utensils and food each appear with a blueish arcane flash.

"Is there a way to locate a safe place for these orcs... their own land perhaps." Mucor would reply as he picks up a piece of magical food. "Could we not just immediately teleport the survivors to the safety of their own lands far away from the humans to avoid these types of retaliation?" The minotaur would ask as he begins to take large bites of food. "All these orcs came from somewhere. Would it not be possible to create portals to send the orcs back home as soon as we rescue them? I understand many of these soldiers being upset but if the orcs were immediately teleported hundreds of miles away... I doubt they would go seeking them out." Mucor would then take a large drink of ale, finishing his tankard in one long gulp.

16 (Torq's 2nd character development roll.)
Torq was unsure how to feel after watching the drekthar immediately surrender and become docile lambs. It went against everything he had seen and knew of them. He didn't like it but he thought for the first time that maybe the drekthar weren't as bad as he thought. He knew Daegon's control over them caused his pain and grief but he still felt a burning anger within him. The same anger, he thought, that the soldiers had. A wave of shame washed over him as he thought of the words Gaelin and the others said to him before they left to fight. All of these orcs, goblins and ogres were taken from their families and mind controlled to kill everything. Maybe they did deserve mercy... maybe.
"I don't know if it's that simple Mucor. There are probably thousands upon thousands of drekthar here. I don't know very well how magic works but I do know it has limits, usually time. What about repurposing the naval fleets of both sides? It would be slower than magical means but quicker than moving by foot."
"Is the Aurora capable of accomplishing that?" Gaelin asks Varian hearing Mucor's proposal. "If not I can agree with Torq's reasoning. The tree portals the druids use and teleportation circle mages use can only last about 6 seconds and the circle has to have a know circle to teleport to. I'm not sure how many we could move in that amount of time but the magical cost would be great. Do we have any permanent circles to the Drekthar cities?" he asks.
Aryn sits down at the table and listens quietly to the group discuss options. She was still comprehending everything that had occurred in the last 24 hours and wanted a bit more time to decompress. She knew though, that there were many who didn't have the time to think because they were still in danger or worse, still under a curse, spell, whatever it was and had no ability to think at all. In the end she decides to just grab a piece of meat that looks good and begin eating letting the others talk. She'll hold her necklace and press the gem releasing Sansa from it and let her perch on her shoulder, occasionally tossing her bits of meat.
(What time is it?)
