"I think most of use are about done salivating friend!" The large hairy beast will say with a big grin, motioning to the empty and nearly empty plates infront of himself and the other companions. Mucor will then let out a short hardy laugh.
Quentin continues to smile, wink and make charmingly forward if only perhaps slightly salacious passing comments at the barmaid as she comes and goes, but the rogue soon turns his attention to the meal in front of him and goes to it with gusto. It's not long after this that a familiar figure in stained white robes approaches the table, and Quentin nods a greeting to the fellow.
"Welcome to the celebration, Gabriel." The young man says, his tone still light and playful, though there was a subtle but distinct difference in the inflection behind his words. While the others in the party had their individual quirks, as everyone did, Quentin hadn't been able to entirely put a finger on Gabriel yet and thus didn't push the joking or banter too far with the Aasimar yet. "Pull up a chair and get you some food and drink. This place has some incredibly delicious treats... and the food ain't half bad either." The rogue chuckles, shooting another wink over toward the barmaid.
While the rest of his companions continue to formulate ideas about what the next few days might have in store, Quentin will take a moment to glance around at the other patrons in the Riverboat Queen Tavern. It was an old trick from his younger days as a pickpocket and a grifter; you always had to scan the environment for a potential mark before wasting your time in a particular location. The young rogue does this discreetly, still chewing away happily on his pork and washing it down with mouthfuls of mead, but his azure eyes flick and dart around the room looking for anyone that might be identified by their clothing, their company, jewelry or anything of that nature, as one of the more affluent or wealthy citizens of the town.

The barmaid's eyes glance back at Quentin with each comment and quickly look away, each time a bit of red surfaces on her cheeks. Looking around you see mostly working class people trying to cram food in on their lunch break. The tavern, mostly full begins to empty as a familiar bell sounds the end of their break and the return to work. The patrons move quickly out and only a few remain, but none seem to be wealthy. You do notice that your barmaid is dressed slightly nicer than all the others except for the barkeep.
The barkeep comes by the table and looks at all the satisfied faces and mostly empty plates. "Thank ya again for helping our town out. If you're all done ordering the total comes to 7 silver for all of ya that haven't yet paid. One for the Kenku, 2 silver and 5 copper for the bull and 3 silver, 5 copper for the dwarf. I also brought you another whisky for the road, on the house. If ya need anything just holler for Daisy or me." she says with a wink towards onyx and heads over to the empty table assisting her barmaids clean them.
Onyx just finishing his plate, had both hands full of whiskey again once the barmaid brings the refill. Then one for the road. Three whiskeys and two hands. It was hopefully going to be the hardest decision to the gray dwarfs day as he knocks one back.
The wink not going unnoticed, but would be answered with an incoherent grumble as he reached into his pack fumbling for some coin before placing a gold coin in the table. Paying the bill of the table.
Mucor will reach into his pouch and place five gold in the hand of the Barkeep "A little extra for you and your barmaids for having to deal with my fast talking friend over there" He would say with a big smile, turning his head to point a horn towards Quentin before giving him a wink and letting out a hardy belly laugh. Split it amungst yourselves and have yourselves a nice day. the minotaur would say as he stands up, prompting his chair to let out a other loud creak as though it was a giant sigh of relief.
Overwhelmed by the generosity the barkeep is stunned for a moment then looks over to the group, "Thank you! If y'all are staying in town for a while you have rooms for the night. Best of luck to ya and come back anytime." she hurriedly cleans up the table and heads back to the bar.
As the food and alcohol settles in your bellies you feel rested and content. The warmth of the early afternoon sun can be felt through the open archway but is quickly moved aside from a cool breeze that comes off the river. This warm and cold cycle continued through your meal and now as you sit. It represents the best parts of late summer and the harvest approaching. The townsfolk, now all back at work leave the large tavern feeling somewhat empty. Outside the tavern is a different story. On the docks and in the streets workers and carts transport crates and goods continuously. The afternoon is set for those willing to take it.
Gabriel nods to the barkeep and turns to his companions, his mouth set in a ghastly smile. "Come, my brothers. Blood must be split and sin consumed in fire ere we can rest in eternal peace. "
The aasimar known as The High Executioner strides out the door, backed bowed under a heavy burden, a prayer on his lips and an axe in his hand.
As he eyes the room and it's occupants, Quentin can't help but notice the barkeep's wink toward Onyx. The rogue manages to stifle his reaction while she is still within earshot but once she begins assisting her barmaids with the cleaning, he breaks out into a jovial chuckling fit.
"Ooo boy Onyx, your a right hound dog ain't you? We know where your bedding down for the night, ya ole' heartbreaker you. Just mind them spikes afore you get too chummy with her, yeah?" Still chuckling and laughing, the slender human stands up and tips an imaginary cap at Mucor, grinning broadly at the Minotaur. Before heading out of the tavern to join his party however, he sidles over toward where the barmaids are working and finds the one that he'd been flirting with, flashes her another charming smile and assumes a casual position nearby.
"Hey sweetpea," He begins, keeping his voice low. "Million thanks again for everything today. Listen, your a local girl right? My companions and I was just jawin' about how we can further assist ya'll here in Riverwood. I hear tell that ya'll might have..." Quentin glances around slightly, making sure no one is eavesdropping on his and her conversation, "a bit of a worry with them Drekthar comin' up from the south. Who round here might have extra cause for concern on that account? Think we should pay that there elder councilman another visit, or can you think of anyone else in these parts might have a lil extra coin jangling around in their purse and want to see somethin' done about that threat?"
Daisy blushes and says, "There's a bounty board outside town hall and my dad in the guard barracks near the marketplace may have some missions. I should get back to work but maybe you can come back later and we can talk more." looking into your eyes before looking down at her feet for a second then walking off to clean a dirty table.
Pulling her armor back on before leaving the tavern with the rest of her companions, Yera gives a worried glance at Gabriel and his morbid statements and saunters up besides him. "So, uh, ya. We should go check the town hall for bounties to be claimed, and just kick back for the evening, right?" Looking back at the rest of her diverse array of traveling companions, a pang of worry rose up in her chest at seeing their demeanor back in the inn. She understood everyone had their own reasons to be living the life of an adventurer, and she wasn't about to pry about their personal situations, but in the moment she thought some disagreement in methodology might arise sometime in the future.
A heavy brown hairy hand will find its way on to Yera's shoulder from behind as Mucor catches up to her, the sound of his armor and heavy hoof falls alerting her to his presence before his hand does. "I am fine with relaxing the rest of the evening unless you guys have other plans, whatever everyone wants to do..." The minotaur will say as small wisps of dust, dirt, and spores seem to trail behind him as he walks. "I wouldn't mind taking a bath this afternoorn... but besides that I don't really care what we do." The large shaggy beast will say with a smile.
Looking up at the figure more than twice as tall as her, Yera is strangely comforted by his words. "That sounds reasonable. We'll all meet back up at the Riverboat Queen after sunset, alright?" She looks over to everyone else.
Quentin smiles coyly and nods to the lovely young lady.
"Fantastic darlin', much obliged for the information. If you'll be here later then hellfire itself couldn't keep me away. I look forward to talkin' with ya again. Stay gorgeous, hun." He finishes with a wink and a grin, then saunters toward the door and out into the beautiful and warm environs of the town itself. The rogue takes in a deep breath of the fresh country air and hurries to join his companions. He jogs to catch up with Yera and Mucor and falls into stride with them and injects himself into the conversation.
"Yer feelin' the bounty list, eh Yera? Definite possibility of findin' some coin on there, you can bet your backside on that. That pretty young thing in there also mentioned that her Pa over at the barracks might be needin' a hand with somethin' or other. If'n your lookin' to do some good for these people, he might have the skinny on what the town needs the most. Course, I reckon the bounties will pay more though." Quentin shrugs casually, "I can go check in with Pa over at the barracks if you wanna take a gander at the bounty board, and we'll share what we find back at the Queen."
Glancing around, the young human continues, "Anyone who wants t' join me at the barracks is welcome as a cool breeze on a hot day. Otherwise, I'll go on ahead and git."
"KAWW!" (sounds good) "KAWW!" (I would also enjoy a bath) Grunting hops on Gump and heads for anyone or anything that looks in trouble. he's feeling a little heroicness before the sunset would be the best.
The halfling looks over to Quentin, "Alright" She says with a sigh, "Later, I guess" Yera breaks off from the group and heads back over to town hall to look for any posted bounties. While she's on her own, she strikes up conversations with random townsfolk asking if they or anyone they know need any hired swords.
Mucor would nod to Quentin "Sure, I'll tag along with ya to the barracks." Slapping the man hard on the back, sending a plum of dust and spores into the air. "lets see what we can do to help these people... and besides... If you really like that girl, getting on her fathers good side can't hurt right?" The minotaur will say giving him a large wink

Gabriel's face remains an unreadable mask. "So it would seem. "
