Torch in hand, Klox leads the party through the muck and grime of the sewer, only occasionally yanking the spiked chain of his familiar, and seemingly more confident of his surroundings with a group of other, larger folks sloshing around behind him. As he strolls up to the smelly intersection, he raises the burning stick above his head to get a better look at the symbol marker on the wall. This is the first time he had seen it actually applied to a surface, and not some descriptive illusion proffered by their bug-eyed guide. Squinting intently, Klox tries to see if there may be some secret, maybe even arcane meaning to this symbol. After all, if he was going to make some strange marker and stick it up on random walls, it would probably have some secret meaning hidden within like "Klox is smarter than you!" or "Made you look, smelly face!" The goblin grins slightly, thinking of all the fun ways he'll need to tag the neighborhood later.

As Roya's vision becomes obscured in the gloom, she will produce a bluish flame in the palm of her hand. Then, she will proceed to investigate the walls and floor for any sort of obstacle or hidden dangers.
Klox heard a rumor from a drunk client, one of those card-carrying Golgari dark elves. There have been some sneaky-secret clashes in the Undercity between Golgari and... Golgari! This Klox has heard in passing before, but mostly it sounded like disgruntled employees to Klox. This rumor, though, sounds like a conspiracy theory - there is a secret sect of gorgons who want Jarad Vod Savo, the Golgari Guildmaster dead. Such an idea is laughable to Klox. Everyone knows that guy cannot be killed probably. Not unless Rakdos gets bored and curious one day. Either way, this marking reminds him of the snakes in gorgon's hair. So many snakies around a circle - like a gorgon's head. This seems connected to Klox and becomes an epiphany... maybe that drunk guy is right! No matter how silly it seems to Klox and others, whatever is happening here must be tied to the gorgons.

After an hour of following signs through the tunnels, you come to a three-way intersection where a ladder leads up into a stone shaft capped by a circular metal cover. One of the familiar chalk symbols is marked on a wall nearby, and as you approach you see a large creature emerge from the sewer!

The monster thrashes and groans in response to Klox's quick wit! Though, if Klox could read minds, it clearly didn't understand much of what Klox said and was mostly offended at the torch light being saved in it's face, hah!

Blix skitters up to the monster ready for a skirmish. With hands firmly place on the hilt of his scimitars he draws them simultaneously and strokes one edge over the other. The sparks created from this movement quickly bursts into a large wave of fire singing the soon-to-be-mulch-monster. "BUURN BABY, BUUUURN"

(Sorry! Went on a family trip since last week, thought I had everything caught up! Casting Guiding Bolt: atk 21 for 14 Radiant damage. On hit, monster gives advantage to allied attacks.)
Grishkar lifts a hand and places the other on his chest over his Orzhav medallion. In his upraised hand, a spiral of black smoke curls over his wrist and to his fingers. A wave of the hand sends the smoky plume shooting forth in a dart that strikes the strange beast and illuminates it in a ghostly white aura.

(I'm sorry my friends!! Since Rukorm has not posted at all, I will pilot him for the time being.)
Rukorm, being the big boy he is, rears back and runs to the monster. He rams into the creature with his horns, thrusting his head upwards. He follows up with the smash of his great hammer. (Horns: Attack: 18 Damage: 9, Hammer: Attack: 13 Damage: 9)
Blix's flame, indeed, lights up the monster! It sizzles and parts of it are blackened from the burn it leaves behind.
Grishkar's medallion glows faintly with holy power befitting a priest of his station. The strike from that burning, smoky dart sears the creature, causing several of the affected vines to wither and die. These tendrils fall to the ground, hissing with smoke, but the gaping hole Grishkar has left closes up as vines shift to take the place of those that fell.
Seeing the priest as the biggest threat, the monster untangles itself from Rukorm (disengage) and rushes over to Grishkar. It launches several brown threads of roots and vine to pummel the priest. (And if it connects, will shove the priest backwards and into a wall.)
Monster Attack on Grishkar: Attack: 23 Damage: 4
Spoiler: the Monster will make a move on Rukorm's turn. It seems like it aims to hit the priest again a lot faster than most of you can even act on.

Roya moves her hand around conjuring a ball of blue energy muttering “I control the uncontrollable, the chaos that surrounds us...” and she hurls it toward the viney creature.
Roya's bolt buzzes to life as it zigs and zags toward its target. When the blue ball finally reaches the monster, it's very touch seems to dissolve the vines near its core. The creature groans and turns its vile attentions toward Roya now.

Klox's cackle reverberates as he fires a bit more wildly than he intended. His bolt would appear to have hit, but those with a keen eye could tell it did not make much of an impact.
The brown vines reach out toward Roya with startling haste! It seems to grasp and tug at her, hoping to grab her entirely! (It's grapple: 13, roll atheltics or acrobatics to beat. If you don't, you are grappled.)
