"O Kimven, I try to stay as far as I can from him..." Roya responds with a touch of disdain. "Though our labs have been known to share research, albeit somewhat unwillingly."
"I work in Orientation, so I could have seen you just about anywhere." A hint of a smile appears as she thinks about transporting from place to place, the first change of expression since she arrived.
After a swig or too of the revolting concoction offered up by the ostentatious Orzhov, Klox seems to lose interest in the drink, offering it instead to the Cackler at his side. The little devil takes hold of the mug greedily, gulping down its contents and chittering with delight.
After several more minutes, you all relax a bit though you are mostly among strangers. Something about the celebration always seems to bring people closer together - a sense of unity. Maybe that was just the magic of the Guildpact, though you know it will be back to the grind soon enough. You savor your time together and clear your plates and have your fill of drinks. The sounds of gamblers yelling and drunken guildees singing bawdy songs nearly drown out the off-key strumming of a young bard three tables over.
Then all the noise is eclipsed by a shout: “Unpure filth! You're the one that killed Ezoc, aren't you!” You all turn around just in time to see a seven-foot-tall Simic creation of some kind take a solid punch to the jaw by a male elf whose shaved head is covered with bug-like tattoos. Four other elves and humans stand behind him, ready to jump into the fray. The Simic cracks her knuckles, roars, and leaps at the tattooed figure with a large crab claw extended for the man's gullet — but before you can see if blood is drawn, a crowd of spectators clusters around the brawl.
Roya and Blix,
Normally you would recognize Yeva under more friendly circumstances. Whether it was asking her a million and one questions about her bio-enhancements or seeing her get really involved in your shows, you would count Yeva as an acquaintance, if not a friend.

If there's a spectacle to be had, Klox desires to be in the thick of it. In short order he is up from his seat, dragging Giggles behind him on his spiked chain, empty mug clattering to the floor mostly forgotten. Worming his way through the kneecaps of the crowd, Klox pushes through to the fore, stumbling into the soon-to-be violent circle between the Simic lady amalgam and the handful of Golgari thugs. "Now who is ones that cause such ruckus on Eve of Guildpact revelries? Surely not lady claw of the crab, deep in cups and swift of snapper?" Yanking the chain Klox pulls Giggles closer. "Must then be swarm of Golgari sewer dwellers, up from the depths and started by bright lights and sounds like bunch of Drudge Beetles!"
Klox is casting Vicious Mockery on the lead elf. Wisdom Save DC 12 or take 1 Psychic damage and disadvantage on next attack roll.
Assessing the situation, Roya does some quick calculations and figures Yeva, though a capable fighter, could probably do with some assistance. Holding back some of her more violent maneuvers, she decides to follow the lead of her table companions and attempt a more diplomatic method. She projects a voice, a harsh whisper into the ear of the elf. "Step back. This is not the one you seek." It will repeat a few times for a minute.
(Roya is using Minor Illusion to create the voice, DC15 if elf wants to check. Deception check if needed: 5)
Everyone inside the establishment becomes silent and still at Rukorm's shout - aside from Yeva, who continues to beat the tattooed elf senseless. She stops only to laugh at Klox's riff on the lad. She replies as she shakes some blood off her crab-hand,"Quite right my fiendish fellow! How rude to fight on such an important night. Why I think the good man forgot himself...
"Isn't that right?" She looks down at him.
The tattooed elf is about to respond, defiance still in his eye, but he hears Roya's whisper. It isn't a convincing lie, but he sees it for the out it is (any with passive Insight 12 or better senses this motive). "Sorry, uh, crab lady. Mistaken identity..." He holds his hands up, partly as a show of submission, but also as a last line of defense against her fist.
"Out with you damn hoodlums!" Durnan, the barkeep, suddenly shouts cutting through Yeva's laughter. His gaze is pointed at the Golgari, "If you don't leave promptly I'll call Lavinia herself to deal with you miserable fools."
Before anyone can react or return to their merriment, a gust of wind suddenly blows around the room. Any regular patrons of the Yawning Portal know this could mean only one thing - !
"Monster!!!"
A monster with warty green skin, a tangled nest of wiry black hair, a long, carrot-shaped nose, and bloodshot eyes pulls itself from the mouth of the portal and feasts its eyes on the patrons of this fine establishment. As it bares its yellow teeth and howls, you can see that a half-dozen bat-like creatures are attached to its body, with three more circling above it like flies. Everyone in the tavern reacts in fear except for the barkeep, Durnan, who shouts, “Troll!”
(Combat time friends! Roya's wild bold connects and blows a hole in the troll! Its skin sizzles from the energy. Grishkar follows up Roya's assault with his own spell. His missiles fly and impact against the Troll, nearly throwing it off balance.
Meanwhile, the goblins are both doing what they can to attack the bats that whirl around in the air. They swoop just out of reach of all their attacks. They retaliate with two bats a piece on either goblin! The remaining two bats scan the crowd for prey and determine that the vedalken seem tasty and weak!

The sword cuts into the troll's flesh but seems to have no effect on the monster. Durnan looks back to the goblins and yells, "Care to show this troll one of your fire shows?!"
Rukorm rushes the troll and attempts to shove the troll back to where it came. However, the troll manages to hold its ground against the minotaur's powerful attack. The creature is heaving heavily from all these focused attacks.

Roya tries to grab the blood sucking creature and deliver a shock to dislodge and hopefully kill it and tries to get some distance and cover between her and the troll.
At Durnan's urging, Klox gives Giggle's chain a quick tug. "You heard booze-boss. Burn troll. I get bats." Pulling a boomerang from his glittery vest, Klox wings it at one of the bat creatures.
Boomerang Attack vs. bat AC: 20, 4 bludgeoning damage.
Giggles cackles with renewed purpose, spiting another gout of flame, this time at the troll.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Just go bloody back to your blazing slime pit!" Rukorm growls again as the monster holds its ground. Sweeping with around, the minotaur sends the head of his hammer plunging into the beasts vile stomach, continuing his struggle to force it back into the pit.
Roya successfully zaps the bat. It turns into a burnt crisp instantly! The goblins might find it... tasty.
Klox's boomerang whirls through the air cracking one of the bats over the head. The blow easily bludgeoned the thing to death! Giggles obediently throws a flame onto the troll as Durnan throws a flask of oil onto the monster.
The troll bursts up in flame! You see its skin sizzle and roast in the flames when finally Rukorm successfully pushes the troll back into the well! Fiery energy explodes from the mouth of it making for a spectacular pyrotechnics show that, thankfully, doesn't light the whole building on fire. You see several Izzets scribbling down notes.
However, there are still 4 bats to go!
(Let's wait for Grishkar and Blix to take their turn! Then I will update with what the bats do, if anything.)

The rat will stay comfortably in her pocket for now.
((Yay, the bat missed me by like....one!))
Fire Bolt vs. troll AC: 17, 6 fire damage.
