Oh my, Blix has obliterated this viney foe! His anguish at the lack of cries can be witnessed as he literally cuts the monster down to size until it is nothing but a pile of mulch. Whatever magic seemed to have animated the thing has dissipated and is no more!
As a reminder of what we've been doing since it has been awhile:
Our loose band of misfits seeks out Anksa Vos, presumably part of the Boros Legion in some way. Pivlic, an imp and apparent guardian to the girl, asked you to locate her. She had gone missing one night. You sought out information at the Chemister's Brew, her last known whereabouts and learned about her exiting with a some sort of Simic-created Kraul who is likely part of the Golgari.
On the word of Izolda, Blix's hated rival, you ventured to the Red Wastes and, after some talking with the local Gruul, found a warehouse. It was invested with people in black cloaks who seem to have no guild-affiliation, but after quickly dispatching them, you all found Theren, the bug-eyed lad! You managed to pull out of him some intriguing details, namely:
Anksa Vos is the supposed daughter of Tesya Karlov, a powerful, rich Orzhov woman who is currently serving a long sentence in an Azorious prison.
Tesya Karlov is in prison for embezzlement among other charges, but there are rumors that this fortune had yet to be found - it is said to be hidden somewhere on Ravnica.
Whoever took Anksa believe that she knows where such a treasure is hidden or might be key to its location somehow.
And most recently, Theren led you to the sewers and let you know of a secret symbol associated with what he thinks is a secret Golgari sect. Klox managed to convince Theren to escort you all this far. While you fought valiantly (or as it may happen provocatively), Theren has spent his time crouched in a corner with his head seemingly withdrawn where his neck should be and his arms covering his head. Some of you consider it amazing he did not run away... it's in this way you realize he might not always be up for the fight, but at least when it comes to fight or flight he chooses to freeze instead.
At this time, Roya immediately remembers that in this small fork with only 2 paths to tread, the one with the marking seems the most correct path to choose.

The Undercity
The gang follows the tunnel marked by that mysterious secret symbol which appears to be a circle with several snake-like heads prodding out. They are in the worst bits of the Undercity... the sewers that lead to it properly. Theren seems nervous (or perhaps that is simply how he always seems) and keeps to himself though you hear him muttering about goblins and Rakdos and hoping the debauchery will be worth it. For a little while longer, you travel like this until the space overhead opens up and the sewer water rushes like a smelly river beside you.

For a brief moment, you are concerned with how to proceed further in this dank pit. Thankfully it is not as dark as it once was as eerie bio-luminescent creepy-crawlies illuminate the shrubs and trees that impossibly grow down here. Currently, you stand on a raised platform that is connected to several other platforms. Sewer water from all around Precinct Four, you imagine, is let out here. The smell is less potent than when you were, for lack of better words, in the thick of it, and it cascades into the murky waters below. The buildings here seem abandoned save for what sounds like the squeaking of bats, bugs, and the rushing waters. However, what is concerning is that the chalk trail seemed to have gone cold... until Grishkar notices something interesting.
There are a lot of pillars haphazardly arranged on a platform you can reach by walking. These pillars are in various stages of ruin, but something about it catches your eye... its an optical illusion of sorts. When you stand perfectly still in a certain spot in front of it, you can see these pillars and various background objects, such as undergrowth shrubberies and trees, you see that mysterious symbol! Albeit, much larger.
What's more is that the center of this illusion is a building on the platform behind it. This building is circular and at minimum 2 stories tall. What's more is, while it has the decayed look as much of the abandoned-seeming buildings around you, it seems to be in slightly better condition than these other buildings... it could be a sign that someone or something makes its home there.
(Feel free to roleplay a bit while Grishkar makes his announcement. Don't worry, all these excellent rolls will be used in this 'room'!)

Following the death of the viney sentinel, Grishkar draws a small knife and draws it across his finger. His azure finger is immediately contrasted by the crimson flow. Taking the knife like a pen in the bleeding hand, the priest takes a scrap of parchment from his pocket and traces an intricate glyph. He returned the knife to his pocket and a wave over the bloody finger sealed the wound shut.
Walking the path beyond, the priest can be heard reciting quiet prayers and scripture. Within a few minutes, the paper burns away in black flame and reforms in the shape of a raven that takes its perch on Grishkar's shoulder.
Along the trail, the raven jerks and quarks in random directions. As they pass a series of ruined columns, it lets out a loud CAAAWWW. Grishkar stops, then backtracks until another loud CAAWW sounds. The raven taps his shoulder, then stares at the columns. "I think there's something to see over there."
