Charles is going to burn a luck point, rerolling that Saving Throw against Fireball (hoping I'd get advantage on the lucky reroll, if not let me know): 17
((Damn, Charles still takes the damage :( ))
Charles will run to CR-21, will shoot a Chain Lightning aimed at the shepherd. DC 18 Dex Save or take: 48 lightning damage (24 on success) also, I already added the +5 from Empowered Evocation. He will arc it to the other shepherds, if he can.)
He will then use the remaining 10ft of movement to get to CS-22.
((EDIT: If he attempts to counterspell Charles will match it with a counterspell of his own.))
Talon then steps in front of Charles and is the first one to move toward the action. He curses the shepherds as soon as he lays eyes on all four of them. His next move is to fire a powerful beam, but one of the shepherds then counterspells it (upcast).
...
Just before Talon leaves this plane he returns the counterspell hoping to at least force a save from the shepherd.
Talon will reappear at CR, -20. He will harken back to the basics and after hexing the shepherd he will try to blast him again.
BONUS ACTION: hex (OOC: I confused Hexblade's curse abilities with hex abilities last round so now is when the strength checks are effected.) Strength ability checks are debuffed to disadvantage.
Talon sees the shepherd performing a familiar set of hand motions and tries to prevent his foe's preventing of the dwarf's own spell. Unfortunate for Talon, the shepherd's version of the cancelling spell is more robust than expected, and the sorcerer fails in forcing his original spell to persist.
(@Superbad: A Luck point is used to re-roll a single d20. When using it on a roll you had advantage on, you are picking one of those two rolls for a re-do. In other words, you do not get advantage again on the Luck re-roll. As such, you rolled a 16, including modifiers, on the Luck re-roll. As you pointed out, that is not enough and the Fireball damage persists. Let me know if you have any questions.)
Charles pops into the edge of the chamber and begins casting Chain Lightning. The shepherd tries to prevent it with another Counterspell:
-> Shepherd's ability check for Counterspell {DC 16}: 24
Like Talon a moment ago, Charles recognizes the hand gestures being used by the shepherd and performs a Counterspelling of his own (upcast at 4th level; no ability check needed).
As soon as the first shepherd is hit, the other three also look like they are being electrocuted, though they do not seem too bothered by it. The lightning does not jump to the other three, and the shepherds collectively take 12 lightning damage (Shepherd - CMD: 53).
-> Concentration check for the shepherd {DC 10}: 28
Charles then returns to his previous hiding spot {CT-22}.
(@Superbad: Note that Le'gal is already occupying your desired location of {CS-22}. Also, I already went ahead and marked down a 4th level spell slot in your sheet for the counterspell cast this turn. You were already out of 3rd level spell slots.)
The fog from the chamber continues to advance down the hallway, now enveloping Charles and a bit beyond (all the way to CV-22).
At this moment, the shepherd sees two giant spiders poking through the expanded doorway south of his position. Noticing that the one in front of the line is already quite hurt, the shepherd raises his hands, the left one higher than the right one, and focuses on the healthier looking spider just behind it. The fog reshapes into the dry, dead appearances of many humanoids and assail the healthier Giant Spider:
-> Giant Spider#1's CON saving throw {DC 18}: 7 - the eight-legged creature is overwhelmed by the apparitions, taking 66 necrotic damage and perishing.
(OOC: The other two Giant Spiders are unaffected by this, just to be clear)
Talon then reappears into the battlefield and tries to take advantage of the fact that the shepherd's attention is focused elsewhere. First, the dwarven warlock tries to Hex the shepherd but can't seem to catch a hold of his foe. Undeterred, Talon launches three blasts at the four shepherds, but they all fizzle harmlessly a few feet away from the intended targets.
Talon then returns to the Ethereal Plane.
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Talon's turn)
The shepherd launches another Fireball into the hallway (upper left corner of {CR-21}.)
-> Le'gal auto-fails the save, taking 27 fire damage.
-> Charles' DEX saving throw {DC 20}: 24 - Charles is prepared for it this time around, taking only 13 fire damage.
The shepherd then follows that up with another Fireball (also centered at the upper left corner of {CR-21}.)
-> Le'gal auto-fails the save, taking an additional 31 fire damage.
Edit: On top of all current conditions, Le'gal is now unconscious and needs to start rolling DEATH saving throws in her turn. I keep forgetting about Death Ward... my bad. Le'gal is back up at1 HP.
(@Ori: I guess there is no reason to not continue rolling CON saves to get out of paralyzed along with your DEATH saving throws...)
-> Charles' DEX saving throw {DC 20}: 18 - not expecting such a quick follow-up Fireball, Charles raises his head at an inopportune time, taking an additional 31 fire damage.
(Nox and Le'gal are up next. Once they post, Graxximus can take his turn.)
CU-15,CV-14 giant spider 1 grappleon shepherd: Str check : 21 if succeed it move back south while grabbing onto the shepherd. CV-12,CW-11giant spider 2 grappleon Grax: Str check : 4 if succeed it move further North-East while grabbing onto Grax. Should be able drage Grax to CS-9 creating a gap between Nox and Grax.
Nox If giant spider 2 succefully dragged Grax away from Nox reach.
Nox move to CX-12 and then dissepear(BA - Druid: Hidden Paths) from Grax sight only to reapear CR-21. Seeing Le'gal drooling on the ground she try restoring (choosing: Any reduction (INT) to one of the target's ability scores) her companion sanity spending 100GP worth of diamond dust (claiming a component pouch from the party treasure).
Otherwise
Nox move to CV-10 and then dissepear(BA - Druid: Hidden Paths) from Grax sight only to reapear CW-20. Rest of her movement she'll try to reach rest of the party, while still able to cast Mass Cure Wounds at CQ-22,CR21 intersection healing Nox,Charles,Le'gal for 27HP (+7 life cleric included).
Hidden Paths
Hidden Paths Starting at 10th level, you can use the hidden, magical pathways that some fey use to traverse space in the blink of an eye. As a bonus action on your turn, you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Alternatively, you can use your action to teleport one willing creature you touch up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Graxximus goes in search of his target. As he does not know where Nox is he doesn't take the most efficient route taking some movement away.
Graxximus withdraws a shaving of licorice root and runs it slowly across his chest casting Haste on himself. He then will fly past the spiders provoking AoO if they like but he does not care moving to CU, -16. His eyes on locked on Nox once more.
Graxximus will then use his extra Haste action to Dash(which I believe should get him right above Nox's head once more if not get as close as possible) to once more float above Nox's head looking down on him like an angel of death.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The paralyzing touch Le'gal received some time ago finally begins to lose its effect. The bugbear's limbs become movable again (no longer paralyzed), but she remains stunned, incapacitated, prone (and her INT score is still zero).
One of the giant spiders approach the shepherd and attempts to grab him. Shepherd's acrobatics check {DC 4}: 11 - the spider is too slow.
The second giant spider attempts to do the same versus Graxximus, but also fails.
(@Palfatreos: I'm afraid teleporting from {CV-10} to {CW-20} is not feasible. You have to be able to see the spot you are teleporting to, and not only is the view angle not right, there is also a large spider and rubble in front of you. The spider is less of a concern, as evidenced before when Graxximus teleported and when Talon and Charles were shooting magic through the scorpion, but it is a factor nonetheless. I am willing to say the farthest spot Nox can see from {CV-10} is {CX-18}. I will continue to resolve your turn as posted but your movement will be a bit different.)
Nox steps to the side to get a slightly better view of the previous chamber and poofs away. Without Graxximus noticing it a first, the tortle reappears at {CX-18} and begins to make her way to the entrance, stopping at {CS-20}. Once there she blindly send a healing spell into the hallway, hoping to help a few of her friends (Charles, Le'gal, and Nox each heal for 19 HP).
(@Grx: Even wasting some movement, the dash and haste combo gives you more than enough speed to reach and even overtake Nox. I'll argue that Graxximus would have no reason to not try an block Nox's passage.)
Graxximusquickens his pace and flies about for a second or two before investigating the other chamber. Once he sees Nox again, he flies straight for his target, still hovering at about 10 feet off the ground. The paladin then overtakes the druid, and blocks her passage into the hallway, while still looking down on her from immediately above.
(@Palfatreos: Both spiders get an attack of opportunity against Graxximus, if you want.)
((I got a plan. Let me know if this will actually work. If not, I'll have to change it.))
Charles sees Graxx fly in and threaten Nox. Uh oh. That's no bueno. "RUN TO ME!" He yells to his allies.
Charles will ready a Wall of Force, casted at 7th level cause Charles is out of 5th level slots, on the trigger that Talon, Nox, and Le'gal are behind him. He will place the wall on the line between CR and CS -22.
Scratch that plan. New plan: We're all doomed.Coerce the shepherd into making a Christmas album with Vale Tudo.Survive.
Charles will move back to CV-22 and he will yell "Nox. Sigil. Graxx. If you can hear me, head to my voice! We need to regroup!"
Reaction: both giant spiders try to bite Grax when he passing by. giant spider 1 : Attack: 9 Damage: 10 Piercing damage. If the attack succesfull a Con save has to be made (CON DC: 11) and receive 11 poison damage, half if it succeed. giant spider 2 : Attack: 6 Damage: 8 Piercing damage. If the attack succesfull a Con save has to be made (CON DC: 11) and receive 13 poison damage, half if it succeed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Talon will reappear at CT, -22 and yell "I'm with the plan!", He will attempt to magically turn Grax into a killer whale (OOC: I assume I have just enough angle to seem him) and then run down the hallway as far as he can following Charles.
The giant spider in the far room tries to bite Graxximus as he flies by but is too late in closing its mandibles. The spider in the first room is more accurate (Graxximus takes 4 piercing damage).
-> Graxximus' CON saving throw {DC 11}: 26 - (Graxximus takes an additional 3 poison damage).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
BACK TO INITIATIVE ROUND 7 (top of Charles' turn)
A wild Christmas carol begins playing.
Charles decides it is time to regather the team's strength. Moving back a few steps but still within the fog {CV-22}, the wizard then calls out for his companions to flee. To be safe, he assumes a defensive position himself.
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Charles'turn)
Bothered by the spider, the shepherd waves a hand in front of the beast and a loud burst of air washes on top of it:
Giant Spider#3's CON saving throw {DC 20}: 6 - the spider is pushed 10 feet away from the shepherd and takes 13 thunder damage, perishing from the blow.
(@Palfatreos: Please note that this spider, i.e. Giant Spider#3, is the one that was previously damaged by Graxximus. It took 18 damage in this post. A different spider, i.e. Giant Spider#1, was killed by 66 damage in this post. This means that including the damage above, two spiders are now dead.)

Talon poofs back into existence just on the other side of Graxximus, agreeing with the plan to flee. The dwarf tries to transform the paladin:
-> Graxximus' WIS saving throw vs. Polymorph {DC 18}: 27 - Graxximus does not re-assumes the shape of his favorite marine life form.
Talon then runs towards Charles, stepping carefully over Le'gal (difficult terrain) but opening himself to an attack from Graxximus. The dwarf reaches as far as {CU-22} and then disappears.
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Talon's turn)
The shepherd aims at Nox next, raising a couple of fingers and sending an arrow-shaped gloppy chunk of poison toward the tortle:
-> Attack: 30Damage: 9 poison damage.
The arrow misses and instead hits the wall behind Nox. The splash is enough to sizzle her skin a bit (Nox still takes 4 poison damage).
