"So where do you hail from?" "Me? I hail from nowhere?" "What the hell kind of answer is that?" "What? I was born in nowhere and... H-hey, where are you going?"
It is morning right now. You've been up for a few hours and are about ready to get your day REALLY started. It's a Sunday so there's no work. Granted, the Inn is still open for the traveler that never shows up but the work is so light you might as well have a holiday. The Innkeepers seem to think like that anyway. So you could always go there and grab a bite to eat if you get hungry.
At the Inn, Chives and Winn are about to do whatever it is they were planning to do for the day when the deep and harsh voice of the innkeeper rings out. "Winn, Chives, Johnnie can you come here for a minute? I have a job for you."
Meanwhile the other villagers are doing what they are doing to enjoy their holiday. Completely unaware of the storm that's brewing in the inn.
Karl, Joben, Ori, William: You guys are also at your respective homes. You are ready to start spending your holiday. What are you going to do?
Winn obediently comes when she's called. She was a little annoyed about the possibility of having to do work on a holiday as well, but sometimes that happens. Winn's used to it by now.
Chives skips over to the innkeeper, nearly knocking over a few glasses on the way. She's rather confused as to what the innkeeper could want now.

With Chives and Winn present, the innkeeper, speaks. "I got a job for you. Recently the rats in my cellar have grown in number and boldness. They're eating more and more of my supplies each day and it's getting to be a real pain. I need you to gather up a few of the townfolk and bring them here to help me in solving this Rat Problem. I think the woodcutter, the potter, that halfling that sells eggs and that tax collector would be good candidates. Also take that drunk Johnnie with you."
The Innkeeper is a serious and rugged type of individual. They are Areli's human mother's side of the family. Though he doesn't exactly hate his niece, he has not been showing any affection either. He's mostly indifferent and lets her do her thing as long as it doesn't get in his way.
"Oh, okay!" Winn chimes, wondering in her head how many people would actually want to do this. There probably aren't many people who want to kill rats on a holiday. Winn herself has never killed anything in her life and she has to wonder why her uncle would give her this job. To be fair, though, killing rats could be kind of exciting. Ooh! Maybe she can pretend she's killing some ferocious beasts! Fighting to save a village from turmoil, and once she succeeds, they'll give her all sorts of treasure!
Crap, she's daydreaming again. She needs to go get Johnnie. She turns on her heal and goes to search for him. "Johnnie!"
"Why are we collecting rats to kill people?" Johnnie asks, trying to get his eyes to adjust. "Also, if I knew there were three of you, I'd have asked you all to join me las-"
Not finishing that last line, he leans over and chucks into a convenient bucket next to his straw mattress.
Joben turns the corner onto another street, there are not that many in the village, and waves to Havena the teacher as he passes by her house. Not having to teach today gave her time to work on her garden. Joben could not help but smile at the warmth of the sunshine on his face. "What a beautiful day it is."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Chives frowns. "Rats are nasty, and dirty, and mean. I hate them." She goes out to find the woodcutter, trying very hard not to think about the rats.

"Yes, it is a lovely day for it don't you think?" Joben stops and shields his eyes from the sun as he looks at the soft, puffy clouds rolling by in the blue sky.

For hangover: 9 (yup, he's hungover)
"Damnit!" Johnnie exclaims, "it's a holiday. Can't you let a hard working Johnnie sleep in for once?"
Karl has decided to spend the beginning of his day taking a walk through the town.
Joben is also taking a walk through town, but it is more of a casual stroll as he hopes to see people out and about, especially the young ladies.
There's no day off for William. He was up at the crack of dawn, chopping wood out in the forest outside of town.

Meanwhile, what is Ori doing with his free time?

EDIT: Winn pokes her head into the room Johnnie is in.
"Aha! There you are!" she exclaims. "Uncle needs us to collect people to kill rats. You have to come too."
Johnnie throws his boot at the doorway, covering his eyes from the sudden light.

Chives walks off and stumbles about in the forest until she finds William the woodcutter and Orianna.
"Yes, it is a lovely day for it don't you think?" Joben stops and shields his eyes from the sun as he looks at the soft, puffy clouds rolling by in the blue sky.
The teacher responds, "Yes. You are quite right. There's nothing quite like a walk on a day like this. Maybe I should take one too later."
